lol… I actually have up a while ago… i started with airdrops when i first joined the crypto world in 2018.. i know i was late to the party but airdrops was till alil profitable then but since 2019 i think all the airdrops have been scams or ended up sharing worthless tokens that wont be sellable… i did some binance airdrops earlier this year and got about $10 for each was like the highest reward have gotten in years… so for me airdrops are dead and not worthy

The only airdrops you find now are all related to telegram bots giving you silly tasks to do then after some while asing you to send a particular amount of eth or btc which of course we all know is ascam. I have really made quite a few bucks from airdrop in the past and i still want to believe that there are few projects with good airdrops in recent times

Absolutely, I have forgiven up on airdrops totally. Airdrops are usually very small and worthless, and with the massive increase in ethereum gas fee, you cannot even send it to any exchange to sell it. And most of them are scammers.

I am also more selective in choosing airdrops because more and more fraudsters are entering.
Yes, more hype in crypto, more fraudsters are coming. Because currently, the hype in Defi and IEO are quite big, many fraudsters trapped people through crypto projects based on IEO and Defi. So, the fraudsters potentially also use airdrops from Defi or IEO projects to scam people.

my advice, do a recheck on airdrop which requires you to connect the wallet to a platform.
Always check all airdrops in detail. Make sure that no strange thing on the project. We also must avoid joining an airdrop that forces you to send some money as the requirement to claim the rewards. It is very potential as a scam airdrop.

At least you don't lose money although I agree most airdrops don't make any sense at all given the transaction fees. In the past there have been a couple of decent airdrops. Wasn't Dogecoin also airdropped back in the days? Cheesy

maybe you are not lucky, indeed many airdrop projects end up in scams. but some airdrop projects still provide benefits for us. I also participated in several airdrop projects, some of which were profitable and some of them did not produce anything.

so in my opinion, it all depends on our luck in choosing a project. and it shouldn't be a problem because we're not spending money.

Airdrop nowadays is still waste of time because of the fact that mostly of it turns out to be a scam or fraud airdrop. The probability that you can get a legit airdrop nowadays is super low so I suggest that instead of doing airdrop try to research and do some snapshots its an airdrop that really gives what they said and promise.

Well, if you are going to ask me, I have stopped doing it in late 2017. I think and this is just my opinion, I do not know about the others, but I think that Airdrops are no longer interesting and that airdrops are no longer feasible sources of income for so many people. When most airdrops became littered with scam activity and many have been victimized by these scams, then that was the time when airdrops no longer a good way of earning a profit. It will take a long time and a string of good airdrops that would save the niche from being irrelevant.

I really avoid airdrops that come from projects that are not clear, or even more so on telegram. however, try to filter out everything in there. besides that, airdrops are currently still quite profitable for airdrops that actually pay. however, depending on the conditions, for now I haven't been looking for profit from airdrops, especially telegram.

But how do those scams with airdrops exactly work? Do they collect some of the data that they might even use for social engineering? Or is it only to raise attention for the project hoping that others who missed the airdrop might be into it.

All the possible risk is there if they require you to submit a KYC, then your information might be at risk of getting sold, and sometimes they really give tokens or coins but the value is worthless, so most likely you are just wasting time. Airdrop which is free have a low success rate, you have to be careful with that, less success rate, you should not risk your information to these scammers.

Because of the high fees, airdrops aren't as common as they once were. It is not fair to waste too much money on petrol when you might spend it on ads when launching a new erc-20 token. There are already a million shitcoins out there, and attracting people's interest is challenging because there is too much competition. Furthermore, developers tend to make as much money as possible, and giving away a large portion of the coin's stock will reduce their earnings, so airdrops are not a viable option.

Airdrops means nothing more than a waste of time. I have participated in many airdrops but have not received a single payment. So stay away from airdrops now. If you spend that time somewhere else without wasting time behind airdrops, maybe you can get some profit from there.

That is what I also believe. Require KYC and sell all your personal data to hackers or so. I've never shared my KYC data with any team that was not absolutely legit. Never do that!

Recently I'd tried to participated in 14 different airdrops unfortunately even one project didn't pay me. I thought maybe my wallet address is wrong but I checked and it is correct. Therefore, because of that I stop participating in airdrops because it is a waste of time for me. Maybe someday I will participate in potential airdrops that will pay me.

If 20 airdrops haven't made any money for you, try to take part in 200 airdrops. Even though the airdrops are not what they used to be, but there are still some legit airdrops that give money to participants, so never give up bro

Your encouragement is amazing, I also had a hard time with airdrops in the past to get small amounts of money and accumulate it will grow. Maybe many people think that it is becoming more difficult, but I think that is the way for people to understand more about this field, do not underestimate the money from the airdrop, if you are lucky to do up to 200 projects. If you have a different project then maybe you will get one of the surprise sums of money from the projects that you have been involved in before, I have met a lot of such stories going on in this market.

You can do this if you have many free time to join in airdrop, its free anyway so keep joining. However just like what you've said, legit airdrops are not how it used to be, many of them are scams thats why for some of us its not a reliable way anymore to get free token/coin.

Im not joining in airdrop because its already not worth it, plus im busy as well to my daily job that I dont have time for that.
