ICO/IPO, I have a bad experience with this and until now, I can't forget. It still stuck on my wallet and I was hopeless seeing no development on the project. I realize that I was not so lucky with that investment, I have nothing to do but to move on and keep this learning.

Do not worry because you are not alone; almost 80% of this community had invested into ICOs and burned their fingers. If you are holding some bitcoins then you can easily erase all the bad memories. Yeah, just believe into bitcoins and bitcoin got all the potential to get us big profits if we opt for long term holding.

While all ways you presented can be of good use to make profits, not all of them can be done always nor can put you into a sure win situation. let us first start with investing into ipos/icos. Now here, of course huge profits can be achieved by anyone if they are lucky or really do have some amount of experience to absolutely know what they are doing which is to weigh out possible risks by digging through vital information including and not limited to; background of devs and the purpose or utility of the project being proposed.
The second one is something that really doesn't happen much so you are lucky if you ever get to find such coins having  a token burn event.
Third, is of course also a good one but just as the first, also a risky one if you are not lucky or do not know what you are doing(lack actual experience).
And lastly, the fourth one. Now, this my friend is good and all but this only happens once in a blue moon so better not rely on this one. But be sure though that you buy if a having really does happen to bitcoin some time in the future.

1. Ask people who bought during the ICO bubble of 2018 how they felt and if it was a good idea
2. Usually doesn't work if the coin is shit. Usually burning is the last resort for devs of a dying coin. You could see that in action a year ago when they burned BTK and the coin dived anyway.
3. So you think that coins that are often traded are a good buy? If that's so then you should buy BTC and ETH - the highest volume coins out there and be done with it. In reality high volume coins are good in bull market pretty much like any strong coin.
4. This is a good idea but you can pretty much buy bitcoin at any time and make money. The only time when it's pretty risky is when it's severely overbought.

in my opinion for point 1 it is very risky, because for now many IPO / ICO have failed and even the price of coin go down, therefore in my opinion IPO / ICO cannot allow you to get profit easily, so I don't recommend you to use the method in point 1 (it is very risky for you to lose your money).

Option 1 is really depend on your luck, it’s kinda uncertainty of your investment, And personally i didn't get anything good from this way. After token burning price might be increased but will never happened in every coin. I see BNB 14th burn finished few days before, It is likely to increase in price although it’s increasing many times from last month. Top volume coins are little bit safe zone if comparing small coin with low volume but with top volume can't make significant profit i think.

you need quite a high pain threshold as even Bitcoin can drop 30-40% in a very short time. Long run I think it is a safe bet. Staking maybe a good option with coins that are relatively stable in value. Otherwise staking might not be worth the risk of the coin's volatility.

This is why I am not planning on selling my bitcoin before 2030 (and sometimes I want to sell it right away lol) because at the end of the day, even if it has a crash now, I know that in 2030 it will be a super high price, probably somewhere above 500k+ range and that means I will be capable of retiring, and if I keep buying bitcoin for the next 8.5 years, that means I will have more and more bitcoins and I would be basically 10x my profit, even a bit more (I didn't started buying today, but it will go up when I keep buying so on average could be 10x) and that will allow me to retire in 8.5 years as well which is great.

If you plan on taking profit at the peak and getting back in at the bottom and keep doing this all the time, there is a chance you fail and you end up losing money, but if you just keep holding until you do not need more money, you can't fail because you got out at the amount you needed until you die.

There are so many ways to take profits from a coin, although it's not all guaranteed that it will work everytime, cause like the number 1 buying at ipo/ICO price, we all know that ICO's are less successful nowadays, so even buying at that price does not guarantee any profit in return, I think the best way to get profit is by buying the dip or should I say buy the correction in the market, when ever you a huge surge in price and after that a  correction takes place, just buy that dip you won't regret the decision.

all the ways the OP mentioned are pretty good. but to maximize profits, it takes knowledge, skills and experience. nothing is easy, all takes effort and process.
for example join ieo, ico, ido, or the like, need the right timing and make sure to choose a trusted platform.

the most effective way is the one you understand and like the most. usually that way you will learn more and be able to maximize opportunities. and remember that everything has its risks. for now, it looks like IDO is quite popular and profitable, try joining in the early stage but don't forget to do the analysis first.

1 and 3 are way too risky maybe if I have the knowledge and luck might be able to get a profit. but on the contrary if it is a mistake it will only cause losses. 2 and 4 are the best ways to make a profit. because both of them have the opportunity to go up.

Buying Bitcoin before halving doesn't mean a guaranteed gain. It is usually priced in quite some time before the actual halving happens. In the past the price did in fact increase, that is correct, but nothing is guaranteed.

I would take profit in steps, like selling 10% at a certain profit, then another 10% at a certain higher threshold. That way you keep a position in case it goes up further or you got some liquidity in case you want to buy after a dip.

but for me, there is only one investment with long-term planning.

Buying bitcoin before halving is a wise choice no doubt, we all know the hype that comes with halving everytime, and it's seems like after every halving a bull run starts, same thing happened in 2016 immediately after the halving there was a bull run which ended after sometime, history was also repeated in 2020 after the halving in May, by November bitcoin started pumping and there we go again another bull run which we are currently experiencing now, bitcoin has always pumped right after halving, so it's definitely a good strategy to make profit, although I would advice you to just buy and hold bitcoin at any point in time now, cause there won't be cheap bitcoins like back then.

There are still some that are doing 10x from their ico price especially when they make lots of strategic partnership and very low market cap.
On the other hand, BSc token tend to easily get more pump because its easier to swap in and out of the chain without wasting much gas fee like Ethereum chain, retailers with small amount of money don't want anything that will involve them with Eth when they can easily play around with BSc projects.
In summary, Ethereum ico projects still pump though depending on their fundamentals.

4. Halving is every 4 years and this common sentiment about price increase or pump after this event.

Generally, if you do tend to make profits then you can simply choose between active trading or just simply holding.
