Would you "swap" your crypto for a Tesla?

Firstly, Elon no longer take bitcoin for his Tesla.  Secondly,  I will not trade my bitcoin for Tesla!  I will rather buy Tesla with fiat whenever I can afford it.  Tesla is good innovation but the thing about innovative products is that other better innovation will soon come up.  I believe there will not be other bitcoin!  So I  keep growing my bitcoin!

I won't do that. I almost didn't care about the electric cars and a petrol car was enough for me.In the future cryptocurrencies and bitcoin will bring a lot of profit, instead swap bitcoins for something. I will accumulate as many bitcoins as I can.

Tesla is not primary needs in our life and it is too expensive to buy if need a car. Investment are more important that superior car meanwhile there are many substitute car with lower price. By holding our bitcoin for many years make it value will increase but if buy tesla , in few year the value must decrease alot. All of this was depend our how is our life style.

Yes, and the lifestyle of people in general is also not a lot of people who choose Tesla, because there are many other car choices that are more profitable in life, because in terms of using a vehicle it's not about how good the brand is, but about how to take care of it when it breaks.

Would you swap one of your investment assets for a luxury item? In my case I would never do that. I would classify Tesla as a luxury item, because it's valuation (even after all the government subsidies and benefits) are much higher than it's actual worth. Since I am not a tree hugger, I would purchase a Tesla, only if its price is somewhat closer to a gasoline driven vehicle of similar spec. And looks as if it is not going to happen for the next 4-5 years at least. IMO, Tesla is not meant for middle-class individuals like me.

Having a car is sometimes also not a primary need. Moreover, if you want to buy a Tesla car, it is an expensive car. I think there are many other cars that can be much cheaper than a Tesla car. To buy them, we probably don't need to sell our Bitcoin if it is not as expensive as a Tesla car.

If your country does have a very good public transportation then you don't actually need one. But for the sake of your own rides and places that you want to go at any time, you really want to have your own car, Tesla or not.
There are other cheaper cars and actually, we're hoping that other car manufacturers and brand would decrease in prices so that everyone can have their own car.

I think we need it. We cannot rely on public transportation services every time. I don't know how good public transportation in your country, but it is not really good in my country. Public transportation still has many limitations, we cannot use it to go to all places. So, to own a private car isn't a bad idea, but be wise to use the funds.

Yep, there are many car manufacturers that have cheap prices for their cars. That's why I suggest buying another car brand, not Tesla cars. However, I also don't expect much about the decrease of those car prices. I doubt it will happen because in my country the car price seems to grow every year. Moreover, if there are new editions, it is usually more expensive.

So with the hype around crypto that Elon Musk is creating and with the news about possibility of acquisition of any Tesla car with crypto, comes my question:
Would you buy a Tesla with BTC or ETH? Aren't we going to regret it? In future, will this turn to an event similar to "Bitcoin Pizza Day" where people will be sayin that someone spend a whole BTC or 10 ETH for a car ?

Only under certain circumstances:

1. It is an older model that has free supercharger access. I would put a mining rig in the trunk to pay off the cost of the car by mining Raven
2. There are superchargers in my area, there are none
3. I would not buy it with Bitcoin because Bitcoin generates wealth, I would take a loan against my Bitcoin.

If i have a great amount of coins, i would swap it to tesla or another car. Its probably turn me profit if i sold them on higher price, so i can buyback my coins and ends up with bigger amount.

No way you could sell an item like a car with higher price moreover with bitcoin. Bitcoin transaction has fee on it and the price value of a car must be going down every year because they will launch another model in the future year. If you want to sell a car with higher value than it's initial price, you could buy an old car which aiming by collectors.

If I am going to purchase Tesla with crypto, that would be using the earnings from trading and/or yield farming/liquidity mining. For me not touching the base principal of my crypto holdings is important. Let the money work for you.

People use their money for things that interests them, things that makes them happy and/or even to solve issues, pay bill and so on, therefore whether the person use fiat for that Tesla or BTC, I still see it as the same thing. That is, let's say the person sold Bitcoin for fiat, of which the fiat is in his bank account, and one day he decides to buy a Tesla and the money in his account is sufficient enough to buy the Tesla, which he goes ahead to buy, isn't that the same thing.
Even if the person doesn't swap his Bitcoin for a Tesla, but do so to pay bills, isn't it the same thing? When Bitcoin rises to $100k for example, will he be angry he sold Bitcoin to fiat to solve problems? I don't think so.
Many people have meet challenges which caused them to sell coins they believe in, but that's what makes us human, there are things we can't control. It doesn't make sense having Bitcoin or other coins which can help you solve issues, but Instead you held on but went to borrow.
But on the other hand, if you are selling all your Bitcoin just to acquire a Tesla, then I think it doesn't make sense and can't do such.

Yeah same, even though bitcoins dropped in price and a Tesla might be more valuable in FIAT money at the moment I wouldn't buy it. I just can't forget what Elon Musk did to the crypto world. Keep bumping and dumping prices like he is god. In the past my dream was always to buy a Tesla one day, but now I will wait some time and get a nice electric car from a competitor.

Don't buy a car if it's not for necessity, it's better to save assets in BTC because if BTC will increase drastically then you can buy that car for only half of the current car price, I also want to buy a dream car but don't need to rush to buy it now because long term trading profits can buy more expensive high end cars.

They should have considered the pandemic and they should decrease in price if they want to cope up with sales. AFAIK, there's also a shortage in parts for brand's vehicles.

Id rather not, if were talking about hodling for better value in the near or far future ill stick with crypto. Cars tend to low their current value while times pass. So for me if the basis as an investment id rather not.

you should not hate to elon musk like this, your good dream should not changes due your hateness to someone. although elon did something that make us suffer loss but atleast he make cryptocurrency be more popular. What do you mean, bro? The car value will be decreasing or our funds will multiply on Bitcoin investment? The car value sometimes is also fluctuated, it can increase or decrease in the future. Regarding the Bitcoin asset, there is no guarantee that it can multiply your money and there is no specific time to take the profits. If having the car urgently, you are better to convert your Bitcoin to fiats immediately.

well i think this kind of conversation is depends, if you think you already reach some good return i dont think its bad idea to spend your money to something you like. In the end the reasons we are investing in crypto cause we need more money and trying to buy what we need and make our life easier so i do think everybody will have different approach how they use their money and its okay to buy something with your crypto.

If the price is affordable and our crypto assets are fit to do why not. however, the dominant percentage to own some BTC and ETH is still not too much.
