Would you buy a Tesla with BTC or ETH? Aren't we going to regret it? In future, will this turn to an event similar to "Bitcoin Pizza Day" where people will be sayin that someone spend a whole BTC or 10 ETH for a car ?

I would not change my crypto for any Tesla car. I still like cars with internal combustion engines even more. I like Porsche or Lamborghini better.

You are right that it may become an event like bitcoin pizza day, but what will happen if it goes the other way around? If btc and eth do not remain at the same price they are today, then at least a Tesla is worth an asset to be bought with it in today's world to enjoy the luxury. Depends if I want to sell my crypto anyway and if I need a car Everything else makes no sense. I wouldn't trade crypto for a Tesla if I didn't need a Tesla and if I wouldn't sell my crypto anyway because I don't think we've peaked yet. Of course, this assumption may be wrong, just like the assumption was wrong to buy a pizza for 10k bitcoin.

I would hodl probably my BTC and not think of just buying it all to something that worth millions.

Tesla is a company, which means they are profit driven and did that integration of btc payments on purpose. To say that they invested billions this year is a red flag why one should not swap his or her bitcoin for any battery car.
In my opinion, Tesla is having a purpose and they intend to get as much as many Bitcoin that they can hold for long term, remember how the CEO was shilling doge back then, the same will come for bitcoin when they accumulate all the satoshi they get their hands on. So, hold to your sweet bitcoin.

If I need a car and buy a Tesla why wouldn't I? To me there is no difference if you sell your crypto coins to buy a car or directly buy a car with your crypto coins. Considering we are in a bull market this is very logical move to realize your profit. You can make your crypto coins back in bear market again. They are here to stay in our life. Meanwhile you can enjoy your Tesla too.
I did it in 2017 and I never regret. I sold my Bitcoin for a really good profit and bought a good car. Then I made more money by working and recollect my BTC more than I spent at that time.

Probably not the best thing to do but it would just be the same if you're really planning to buy a Tesla using your Bitcoin or Ethereum it is just the same with cashing out converting your cryptocurrency on fiat and then buy the Tesla it just wouldn't make any difference at all.

But right now buying Tesla with cryptocurrency is not that great because bitcoin is still the best investment and maybe after 5 years the price value of 1 bitcoin might skyrocket.

Compared that when you put your 1 bitcoin in a Tesla or any car where most of the time a value of a car depreciate, so you could estimate that the value of your Tesla after 5 years was lower and not a good investment.

I think that you can't argue whether people will be loosing caused by they were using their bitcoin to buy tesla. I think this doesn't make sense.

I may buy a tesla car for bitcoin payments but for that I need bitcoin to perform another 20x rally from its current price levels. Yes, I may not plan up spending any of my bitcoins until it will be valuing more than one million dollar per one bitcoin. I may sound crazy but I am very much sure about bitcoin to be valuing more than one million dollar in next 4 or 5 years.

We are earning for making our life comfortable and safer hence there will be no point of never spending bitcoins to avoid later regret. I am sure I must be enjoying some 1000x returns if bitcoin hits one million dollar value hence there cannot be any chances for regretting after enjoying 1000x returns.

I think the case today is different.
back then people haven't seen BTC have a good price. but currently buying Tesla with BTC or ETH will accumulate the fiat price with the crypto price used to buy Tesla.
and you know, we don't have to regret what we missed. like when we sell an asset and its value increases when we sell it. we have our own portion, we already know the risks. and all this time we enjoyed it.

Although, a Tesla car be an asset but this asset doesn't worth forever like cryptocurrencies, holding cryptocurrencies will be more profitable than having a Tesla car which over the time will depreciate to a common car. If you are like the ones who wanted to show their success to the public, you would buy a Tesla car. Some people do to show off but it's not really recommended to do that when you could be vulnerable to criminals.

I won't surprise if someday Elon and Tesla announce that they accept Dogecoin as one of payment methods in cryptocurrencies.

I believe they will add more altcoins to the list of crypto payment methods on Tesla. It will be the unstoppable trend in this world. Tesla with Elon Musk behind won't stay outside the game.

No, I will not swap my crypto for a tesla because my bitcoin, ethereum, bnb and other coins are really worth it than just to buy tesla. I will prefer to convert my coin into fiat to buy my daily needs and food for my family because that is the important thing that I must do. That’s up to you, cars are things that depreciates in value, so they are just for cruise and to help us with our daily moving around activities and the rest of them, but when it comes to value you know very well that your car is going to be depreciating in value, but bitcoin is not like that, bitcoin will keep on adding more and more value all the time.

So if you’re going to be buying a Tesla with your bitcoin, nobody is stopping you from doing that as long as that money is yours. If you buy a Tesla today, tomorrow the company is going to produce a new model and your own will drop in value, and you when you want to sell it you are likely to sell that car at half of whatever value it has depreciated to or even less than half of it lol.

That’s up to you, cars are things that depreciates in value, so they are just for cruise and to help us with our daily moving around activities and the rest of them, but when it comes to value you know very well that your car is going to be depreciating in value, but bitcoin is not like that, bitcoin will keep on adding more and more value all the time.

So if you’re going to be buying a Tesla with your bitcoin, nobody is stopping you from doing that as long as that money is yours. If you buy a Tesla today, tomorrow the company is going to produce a new model and your own will drop in value, and you when you want to sell it you are likely to sell that car at half of whatever value it has depreciated to or even less than half of it lol.

Tesla's payment system still has payment methods such as cash, besides, I think they also have a plan to pay quarterly to those who do not have enough money immediately, crypto is just a complementary payment system in an era where crypto is dominating the market. I think you're making a disproportionate comparison. It is impossible for people to compare Tesla with Pizza. But now what fits you to say is the history of the Doge. Which when Doge is cheap, we throw it for nothing. So that when Doge prices are high, many people regret it.

I think Elon Musk is very clever to take advantage of every condition to be able to benefit his company , for me personally maybe it would be better to buy Tesla using fiat currency because after all conditions the value of that currency will certainly remain stable and keep bitcoin as my investment because Indeed, the value of bitcoin is very active and the price is likely to go up too high,  if we buy Tesla now for $ 50k, of course next year the money we have will also be worth $ 50K, but if we buy with bitcoin it is likely that next year's bitcoin will be worth will go up (it could also go down) and this of course will greatly benefit Tesla, after all elon musk once said that if the Bitcoin paid to Tesla will be preserved as Bitcoin, not converted into official currency., so believe it or not elon musk intends to store bitcoin as much as possible in the future.

I believe we cannot speculate what is going to happen after 10 or 20 years of time but we need to face all basic expenses of our lives' requirements hence spending some bitcoin here and there may not be unavoidable for most of the people here. But when you are spending your bitcoin which are actually planned for long-term holding, you must plan for only spending maximum 5% or 10% at a time.

This way you can take control of what you are going to spend and when you are delaying your bitcoin spending then you might be getting good prices for your bitcoin which will be helping you spending less bitcoin over the time.

There is no way I would get Tesla and give up my bitcoin. Personally I do not like to spend that much on a car, I live in a nation where cars worth a lot of money and a Tesla worths nearly as much as a house here, so I wouldn't really want to be giving that much bitcoin for it. If i would have not enough FIAT money and i would desperately need a car then i would probably use cryptocurrency for it. Did you know how much coal, gas, and oil are burned to produce electricity? In short, they are not as environmental friendly as they want to look like. Powerplants consume nature gas to produce electricity. The difference between petrol/diesel car vs electric is the area of pollution. Yet they both pollute atmosphere a lot.

If I was able to buy Tesla car, I would not do it, because my city and cities around are not much suited for electric cars. We do have a lot of charge stations, but they are greatly less than regular fuel station. At some point if you don't cash in a little for than you are missing the point.  It's not supposed to be horded by everyone it's supposed to be used.  If you have enough crypto I'd definitely spend one on a car, don't know if it'd be a tesla but definitely worth getting a ride for some crypto.

I personally wouldn't use Bitcoin to buy a car or anything like that for the same reason you mentioned it. Bitcoin and Ethereum are perfect assets for accumulating value and if today 1 Bitcoin has a value as much as for 1 car, then in a year it will have 2 or 3 times higher value and the only thing I can do is regret that I gave 1 Bitcoin for Tesla.

When people say they want to buy a Tesla car with bitcoins or any coin, I feel like laughing at them. These people who are so curious to buy a car with bitcoins can always do so by selling bitcoins and buying Tesla or any car they want. It's not like bitcoin is useless and suddenly you can buy car so you are excited.

If I have the amount of coins required for buying the car I need, I won't wait for them to accept bitcoins, instead, I would just sell them to a P2P seller and use the fiat to buy the car.

Depends on what you are aiming to do with your crypto. Money and crypto are so easily interchangeable now, I don't think you need to regret for using crypto at market price. I think that 10 ETH will not be enough to buy tesla. Personally, I'm not ready to switch to electric cars. This is due to low amount of charge stations and long period to make full charge. I just can imagine how to travel with electric car. You made 400-600km, and then you need to wait 2-6 hours till battery full charge. Instead of fill full tank on a nearest station in 5-10 min. And you cant take extra canister with electricity to get more 100-150km.

I don't think it is so much about a specific product. If I have crypto available and I want something else of value, I just do the maths right?

If it is can I have one Tesla or one Bitcoin, well that's a bit different. But generally you should make careful considerations at some point because the time will come where it is smarter to get rid of at least some of your cryptocurrencies instead of holding them forever. Crypto allows you to avoid ties being published between you and your purchases towards all the traditional institutions we are used to knowing everything about us. Imagine you buy a pack of cigarettes every day at a kiosk. Would it be better to pay with debit/credit card or with crypto/cash? It is of course better to pay without leaving traces because I guarantee you your insurance company and your bank already analyzed what you are doing and spending on a daily basis. Would you swap one of your investment assets for a luxury item? In my case I would never do that. I would classify Tesla as a luxury item, because it's valuation (even after all the government subsidies and benefits) are much higher than it's actual worth. 1. It is an older model that has free supercharger access. I would put a mining rig in the trunk to pay off the cost of the car by mining Raven

3. I would not buy it with Bitcoin because Bitcoin generates wealth, I would take a loan against my Bitcoin.

No way you could sell an item like a car with higher price moreover with bitcoin. Bitcoin transaction has fee on it and the price value of a car must be going down every year because they will launch another model in the future year. People use their money for things that interests them, things that makes them happy and/or even to solve issues, pay bill and so on, therefore whether the person use fiat for that Tesla or BTC, I still see it as the same thing. That is, let's say the person sold Bitcoin for fiat, of which the fiat is in his bank account, and one day he decides to buy a Tesla and the money in his account is sufficient enough to buy the Tesla, which he goes ahead to buy, isn't that the same thing.
Even if the person doesn't swap his Bitcoin for a Tesla, but do so to pay bills, isn't it the same thing? When Bitcoin rises to $100k for example, will he be angry he sold Bitcoin to fiat to solve problems? I don't think so.
Many people have meet challenges which caused them to sell coins they believe in, but that's what makes us human, there are things we can't control. It doesn't make sense having Bitcoin or other coins which can help you solve issues, but Instead you held on but went to borrow.
But on the other hand, if you are selling all your Bitcoin just to acquire a Tesla, then I think it doesn't make sense and can't do such.
