Kinda unfortunate since Gambling is also a form of profit for their country. Kinda odd how Hotels took advantage of it immediately from a so-called "leak". It wouldn't be odd if someone from the higherups actually accidentally revealed that they would've allowed it already (either its the truth, or some drunken spur) hence why hotels started introducing the scene. Still, though, I hardly doubt that hotels would actually reveal that they scammed people to gamble since they themselves would get hit by quite a hefty fine for it. I'd honestly think they'd only shoot their own foot if there was a personal vendetta here or corruption on going (so that hotels run free while players pay).

Their culture and the rules of the religion adopted by many people there, namely Islam, teaches them that gambling is an illegal act, and there are still many other Muslim countries that also prohibit gambling.
This fake news could be spread to attract visitors to their hotel, it is undeniable that the decline in the number of tourists due to the pandemic has made them do many ways including spreading fake news.

Everybody wants to be the first I guess so if you a hotel gets to have the first casino in Dubai I guess that's big marketing for them. Sadly its just a rumor that just lures them to violate the laws. A big setback for hotels that planned to have one but as far as I know sometimes MMA events is held there in Dubai. I wonder if they gamble with it.

Very good information, because there is a lot on the internet that spreads misleading information about Dubai. I believe Dubai has never
legalized gambling, because they are a Muslim country that definitely prohibits gambling activities. Even though I have never been to Dubai,
but I have friends who work there. My friend said there are no hotels that provide gambling facilities, if there is gambling activity in Dubai
it is definitely illegal.

How can they claim to be closed to gambling, when they are allowing these lotteries? I think the reason for their prohibition of physical gambling is that they are against the teachings of Islam, it's not that easy to wonder why online gambling is not that frowned upon, that is because it will be difficult to catch them on the act. The reason that lottery is allowed is because like any other countries, it is a way to make money for the state.

I don't agree with the last part of your post. As far as I know, the Dubai lottery is one of the most user-friendly games in the world, with the government getting hardly any benefit out of it. There are no taxes on the sales of lottery tickets, or on the winnings. Also, most of the amount collected from the sales is distributed as rewards. Now comes another question. How come lottery is permissible in Islam, when other forms of gambling are not so?

If UAE government should shotdown gambling across their nation it can be considered a bit liberal since their environment is highly accommodating and also have different opportunity offers across their regions. I see no alarm in this although its limiting the fun of socialism but still doesn't stop loves of games to gamble peacefully online at their own convince.

Dubai is a Muslim country, news that legalizes gambling in a Muslim country should be verified and confirmed source, it's very suspicious and unbelievable for a country that adheres to Muslim tradition to just legalize gambling, you can get fine and if you are a foreigner you'll get deported if you believe and participate in gambling activities, the news and confirmation should come in a government body, not from a company.

Are you saying that everything goes by the book in a Muslim country  . No clubs, party and gambling, i visited Lebanon once and i had a good time partying but do not remember whether gambling was allowed as i was having hang over from all the party and you should say that those were the best party days i ever had and if i am not wrong it is a Muslim country as well.

I think, they do have clubs, party but when it comes to gambling, this country is clear that they do not permit it to legally operate. So it means, gambling is illegal and if you are found that you are dealing with gambling activities, then, it is for you to accept certain punishment. You can gamble but you are taking the risk to be punished by their laws.

That's right if they ever permit certain things doesn't mean they will also permit everything we should know that there are some limitations regarding what they permitted and what they prohibit. we cannot compare two countries together as long they are not controlled by one official or what they called president.

I don't think that lottery is going to be any different in any country, I am pretty sure that it is the same as any country. That's what I am confused too, how is it permissible to have a form of gambling when your religion prohibits gambling, another case is the state owned lottery of CCP when gambling is illegal in mainland.

According to Social Media Rumors People did think that the Dubai Government was apparently approving and giving license to various hotels for Gambling. But as it turns out the news was indeed false.

Hey, thanks a lot for such a warning; on first reading the subject, I thought how an Islamic government will be allowing gambling for their own people and tourists. But lately I read most Gulf counties started allowing many things like women in driving and other similar modern thought based things hence I first thought about the possibilities for allowing gambling on their soil. Personally I believe it is better not allowing gambling as it will ruin people's wealth slowly because I am not profitable with my online gambling.

Yeah, but unfortunately, there are many ways for hotels to make money not just for gambling. But they have to follow the government rules (and their religion as well) although as far as what I heard from my friends, it's really an "open city".

Lottery ticket is very different from online casino though, and we really can't compare the two.

The United Arab Emirates is one of the more progressive countries in the middle east. From what I have heard, the women are not required to cover their heads and alcoholic beverages are readily available in the major cities. But don't get overly relaxed while visiting the country. There was an incident a few months back, when an unmarried couple was arrested after the lady became pregnant outside the wedlock. The neighboring countries such as Saudi Arabia and Kuwait are much more conservative.

We called them a Muslim country where their religion is the basis of the law, there's no law that should contract to their religion that's why they don't allow gambling. For Islam, gambling is a big sin and they can never permit it, if lending itself is a sin, how much more gambling.

Alcohol is also not allowed according to Sharia law nor is it a tradition amongst Muslims, but it is allowed to drink alcohol in Dubai. You are not allowed to be seen carrying bottles and drinking in public, but you can do it in hotels and bars.

It's just a matter of time before they legalize some sort of gambling activities as well. Just like in many other locations all around the world, football is also the most popular sport in Dubai. It's just natural that a tourist destination such as Dubai will eventually loosen up its laws to keep attracting even more tourists. It will begin slowly, one hotel at a time, and when they notice the amount of tax revenue gambling can generate, it will spread by itself.

That is good to know, I haven't been in Dubai for years and now with the pandemic it doesn't seem likely for me to go back to it any time soon. For a sunny vacation at the pool it is the perfect destination. But for gambling, I haven't heard of it. For gambling I would probably always prefer to go to Las Vegas or Macau. If scammers now try to get money for gambling licences  than Hotels need to protect themselfs.  Same goes for the gamblers itself, we could lose a lot of money in a fake casino.

I'm not seeing any big possibilities for that to happen; because most gulf countries are already making lots of revenue through oil production and tourism hence tax revenue out of gambling may not be considerable for them in any near future.

Still it is gambling as per I have seen many people are ruining themselves just because of lottery. Lottery is kind of slow poison; you may win once and then you will keep trying for another thousand times for another win.
