I think that the main problem to persuade parents or someone to invest in altcoins or cryptocurrency in general is in approach of persuasion.
How people usually tell about cryptocurrency? They start with "You know, in 2017 you could have bought 1 Bitcoin for $1,000, but now its price is $36,000. Your sum would be X times more today" and etc. People does not tell the idea of cryptocurrency or Bitcoin. They start with something imaginary that cost nothing, and without giving any explanation, tell how much it cost today. This for sure sounds like something scam and shady. People try to persuade with simple "buy low sell high" example and dont understand why should they invest exactly in crypto, when "buy low sell high" works with everything.
