Many people says that crypto market and stock market are the same in which if you know how to trade in stocks or how to buy a stocks in which you will be having a good profit, you can also do it on the stock market which is wrong because in stocks it is like buying some limited amount of shares in one's company but in crypto you are just buying some tokens and coins in which you can sell immediately if it pumps up not like on stocks you will wait the company to become good and successful in order to grow your shares.

The concept of stock market and cryptocurrency is seems to same one.But both was a different one.For a stock, the holding period must be month atleast ,in crypto you can get the profit in a day or week.Only the market analysis is important one.You should be very active to get a good profit.Or else you can earn a margin profit from it.Based on the investment you will get profit.

Crypto market is too volatile that trading it daily can be profitable but they are both the same in a way of buying and selling some shares in stock or token in crypto since we were able to gain some profit whenever these companies or project increases their value. The only difference is the volatility that makes us earn fast in crypto due to adoption rate it experiences as well some stocks exchanges we're limited depending on what countries we are.

Stock is so much stable than crypto and holding stocks takes longer to actually make big money out of them than crypto, in crypto cycle the highest you can hold and wait is four years but stock requires longer years to actually make insane amount of money

This isn't true in a general sense and certainly not true if you're losing money in crypto. People just take for granted that bitcoin goes up no matter what in the long term and this isn't a given that is proven out yet because the historical data is there to back it up.  10 years is not a long time frame to conclude that bitcoin will never stop reaching new all time highs.  Further, bitcoin doesn't outperform speculative tech stocks anymore, so there are more volatile stocks and better return opportunities if you're just looking to take a big bite of risk.

Honestly, I prefer both than choosing just 1. Primarily because they both have good traits and of course share a lot of bad traits as well. At the end of the day, a person should only choose whee he is more comfortable with than forcing himself to folkow others just because they see it is more beneficial (for them maybe). But the thing is, we all are different in many ways which makes it possible for one thing to be working great for one and not for the other. Just focus on what you ae used to or do both if you want. There is no wrong or right. Let profits show you the way Smiley)

People have often compared crypto to stocks since owning a coin, represents your "share" of the decentralized blockchain network. Exchanges act as brokers in a similar fashion to traditional stocks. While stocks are fiercely regulated, crypto is the "wild west". Cryptocurrencies are extremely volatile, while stocks are much more stable. Despite crypto/Blockchain tech's popularity, stocks are still preferred by mainstream investors and traders alike.

Which asset types do you think are better: crypto or stocks? Is crypto getting closer to becoming regulated just like stocks? What do you think will happen if institutional investors come into play? Will stocks transition themselves to the Blockchain? Or is it still too early to tell? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley
I think cryptocurrencies are a fairly young market and much more volatile than stocks. Two things follow from this think. The first is positive - you can earn more. The second negative - you can lose faster. I unambiguously choose the cryptocurrency market.

Im not really sure why do you ask this kind of question when the answer is already obvious. Its crypto and you are asking this question in a crypto forum. If someone really prefer stocks over crypto then I dont see any reason for that guy to be active in this forum. We are all here because we have trust on crypto to some degree

I think cryptocurrencies are a fairly young market and much more volatile than stocks.

Crypto trading is definitely not for everyone but instead of holding shares for 10 years, you would have gotten alot more for 10 years just by holding top crypto like btc or eth

I do not think that stocks or crypto is the same. If you want to compare bitcoin to something you can compare it to either a currency like dollar or euro, or you could do something like gold which would be correct as well.

Stocks are only depending on the success of a company and if that company is doing good then the price of that stock goes up, there is nothing that ties bitcoin price to something like that, it is only valuable if people think it is valuable, which is why it is closer to something like gold. At the end of the day if you want to see bitcoin to be more like stocks, you could find some defi projects which are as good as what the project is doing, if the project is doing good, that means that crypto will be doing good as well and if it is not doing good that means it will not be doing good neither. But those are only a few and rare so we can't say it about all crypto.

Both crypto and stock have their own positive and negative sides. Crypto may be giving us more profits but it also requires more risks. because crypto is more volatile.
However right now, maybe the stock market is likely getting dropped. many traders of stocks are moving to crypto because they are willing to gain more and more profits. however, they often only focus on getting the profits without going or willing to learn about crypto itself.

We all seen how correlated crypto and stock back then during March 12, 2020. We have huge whales from stock market that has flood into cryptocurrency due to swift and fast gain associated with cryptocurrency.
Talking about profit in stocks, one have to engage in margin trade in order to earn more and also since there volatility is very low compared to crypto. Many of investors from stock has diversify their money into both crypto and stock.
If I'm to choose in between stock and crypto, I will choose crypto because of financial freedom that comes with it. I don't need a government to tell me how to and when to with my shares.

Cryptocurrencies are superior to stocks in so many ways in my opinion. The biggest advantage that cryptocurrencies hold is the anonymity factor which allows us to buy and sell them without worrying about external factors.

The next big advantage of cryptocurrencies is its volatility which could help you win or lose big amounts in a short span of time(High risk, High reward) in my opinion. This could also be observed as a disadvantage to some people.

There are several more advantages like easier learning curve etc due to which I always prefer cryptocurrencies over stocks.

i agree of what you have said above.. For me if we will make a comparison which is better, of course its crypto currency it gives more opportunity than stock market, that's why more ppl on it choose to hold for long term.  Indeed some stock traders  make bitcoin as back job because of the volatility wherein they can earn so much on it unlike on the other side. Although stocks market is more reliable when it comes long term..

I will choose crypto over stocks because of the advanced anonimity, high level of security and the 'wild west' regulations. In fact, only companies related to crypto are regulated, not cryptocurrency.

Cryptocurreny serves human' will and the innovation of new technology, while stocks serve only a company path.

Bitcoin is harder to be manipulated while stocks are easier to be controlled

Amalgamations have been found between crypto and stocks although it only happens in a low scale. In the future, I believe amelioration will either bring stock closer to cryptocurrency or destroy it completely. No matter what the result is, crypto will replace traditional assets because of the easier accessibility

But due to the anonymity factor in the crypto market, your responsibility in crypto will be especially important than the stock market, the reason is that the government is not here to protect you, the world without rules will be very profitable but also increase the risk. The best thing about crypto is probably the dominance of the ideas and allowing the project to go very far from its original valuation but in general, the selection should be based on principles of preference and knowledge, not just listening to the compliments of a third party.

I don't just rely on a single form of investment. Crypto is having a huge possible gain compared to a traditional business or stock market but because of its volatility features, it turns out that not really safe in the long run. Having them both is a good option to take but I'll put a big share on the stock market than in crypto. Because what I think is that investment is not just how much we get in the future but what we have to look for is guaranteed profit assurance which I believe that the stock market can do better than crypto.

However, I don't really agree with you.  You say that Crypto is not very safe for investing for a long time maybe because you haven't tried it.  A friend of mine said that in 2010 he invested $ 1000 for 1000 BTC and still keeps his BTC to this day.  In approximately 11 years, he has become a millionaire.  Is it really unsafe for a long time?  He did not expect his life to have changed so much since the decision that was taken in 2010.

Thank you. Smiley
1: Stocks can be issued at will to extend crowdfunding compared to the limited supply and availability of cryptocurrencies, which is probably the main reason why I chose cryptocurrencies.  Although compared to stocks, cryptocurrencies are still more risky, but it will be the future, not stocks.
2: Liquidity.  Securities have too many cumbersome, complicated rules, take a lot of papers, signatures, take too much time.  Crypto is always ready at any time.

Completely different asset classes imo.

With a few exceptions, cryptos do not generate cash flows, whilst stocks indeed have a internal rate of return.

However, this is not to say that crypto is inferior to stocks as a long term hold. In fact, I would argue the exact opposite - even though yes, in the medium run stocks will generate stable cash flows, in the long run you hold BTC to hedge against an imminent fiat collapse as a store of value more than anything else.

Definitely not black and white. There are usage cases for either as an investment vehicle depending on your needs.

Crypto and stocks market both got their own ways and their own supply and demand. As you said, some people will say crypto is just like stocks and they will say let's buy a share of bitcoin stocks. They are wrong and depending on your own thoughts and risk level you can choose your way to buy bitcoin and crypto currencies or bitcoin. Comparing to stocks market, crypto is much more risky and of course this will give you more reward.

For me, crypto is much better than stocks in some ways but there are some that stocks are better than crypto. For crypto, it makes a bigger profit at such a short time when compared to a stock which takes over a decade to even possibly reach 1/4 of the growth of crypto in a year. For stocks, they are more insured compared to crypto which means that there is no possibility of going home losing in stocks if they or you lost it unlike crypto where you are your own bank.
Each has their own merits of investing though, crypto still has an uncertain future since it isn't as old as stocks yet which means that in the next 50 years, they might be worthless unlike stocks that has proven to last that long although you can't gain a big profit in such a short time with stocks so to each of their own.
Even if crypto future is uncertain, I am still going yo make money out of it while it is still kicking and alive. Stocks need a lot of capital to make a considerable gain before you can consider making a passive income out of it, and you said it already, that the returns in crypto is faster than stocks.

Thank you. Smiley

I honestly knew nothing much when it comes to stock market. All I knew is it is both risky. My friend introduce stock market to me somehow but on a different perspective. There will be other people or there will be a company that will manage my money on stocks. They will make it grow according to the economy of the country. In that case, I just need to sit back, relax, wait and there is no need for a deeper analysis regarding stocks. But of course there will be time that there will be no profit due to the economy is down but still I have to pay them. I am not sure if this is a good idea. To be honest I still doubt and I am afraid. When it comes to crypto I know I already lose a lot way back 4 years ago that comes to the point wherein I almost quit crypto but here I am again. Both good opportunity yet risky.
