Elon Musk has made new tweet about Doge again as always. It has been seen for some time now that Elon Musk is benefiting himself by increasing the price of Doge through new tweets. He tweeted asking if Dogecoin will be used to buy Tesla. But after his tweet, Doge price is going down, which means people are understanding his purpose. I'm against cars in general, so I know I'm not going to buy Tesla (although I do believe they're better than other cars in terms of environmental impact, so I'm really glad they exist). From that perspective, I don't care how Tesla is sold and which payment options are available, but since I'd want cryptos to be considered more as money and I want to see more Teslas around (instead of cars running on fuel), I care about it. I think that Doge is an okay coin, so accepting it as payment could be a good thing. And this would definitely bump Doge even more. Almost 80% of votes are in favor, so now I'm really wondering if he decides to go for it.

If Musk is serious on Doge then why not promote it that way?
Since Elon is tweeting and pumping Doge too much I think it would really gain too much attention if Tesla accepts it.
But then again I think Elon is just trolling or testing how much he could control the crowd by his tweets.

Why does such a rich man make manipulative moves regarding cryptocurrency? Doge unfortunately does not deserve these prices. Its total supply is not clear. Nobody purchases with crypto, even with another coin, not with Elon Doge. For example, I wouldn't. The pizza example always comes to my mind.

There is no doubt that many of the altcoins are heavily overpriced at these levels. And Dogecoin is the worst. It is overpriced by a factor of 100x or 200x. Look at the adoption and acceptability. It is nowhere when compared to Bitcoin. And even when compared to other altcoins, it fares really worse. Unfortunately, when the prices are going up, no one really cares about anything else. They will analyze these only when the prices crash and they lose their hard earned money.

Today I heard that not only Tesla, even Ebay is also going to allow customers to buy goods/items using cryptocurrencies on their trading platform. That is a good sign that the cryptocurrencies are becoming dominant and also accepted by the giants in the market. Under the current pandemic situation, the importance of fiat currencies is being lost and non-tangible assets will take that position in next few years.

I honestly fail to understand what difference it makes for anyone to pay via dogecoins or Bitcoins or even fiat because they can always convert cash to dogecoins/crypto and vice versa so how does it make a big difference if he starts accepting dogecoins? I really don't understand this.

It is similar to like I can pay my college fee with dogecoins but since dogecoins have a real value in the market, I could have converted them to fiat and paid the fee within fiat too.

It would have been massively useful if tesla was accepting dogecoins while there existed no real market for dogecoin to convert into fiat. But with market open and heavy demand for the coin, it just doesn't change much to have Tesla accepting dogecoin.

Plenty people are already disappointed and angry at the too much unpredictability associated with doge coin. A lot of smart people became millionaires from doge coin, a lot people became millionaire for some hours and suddenly lost it all to doge, wile some others made losses the moment they invested in doge coin. People are loosing interest, since Elon musk has tesla and is a huge beneficiary to the doge jingle, it is only a matter of time before Tesla helps the price and starts accepting doge as well. If this things happen then doge will touch $2 easily like bitcoin. When elon started to join with bitcoin, bitcoin creat historical price and now bitcoin still in $50k+ which is in stable. And elon mask accept bitcoin for tesla. Now if elon do the same with dogecoin. Then dogecoin definitely cross moon and reach Mars. Seriously even if Tesla would accept it, I wouldn't be even able to buy it because:
1. I don't want a Tesla Car. I could spend my money on something better.
2. I hold Bitcoin mostly, and even if Tesla adopted Bitcoin, it would be again go back to #1 reason.

He just wants to create more hype into the market by saying things like Tesla now accepts payments in Doge and all that shit. I wish there was some interview of him about why he is shilling so hard for dogecoin that he is looking like a mad man right now.

Just because he admires a coin, he wouldn't be pumping and shilling for it so hard. Some people say he finds the dogecoin cute but really he isn't just anyone, this guy has a big following and people invest based on his tweets.

Well, except for Elon Musk and Tesla, I have not seen a large company or corporation speak out in favor of this coin. So even if Tesla accepts Doge for payment, it will be the biggest pump in history.

I really don't even care. But i can't see it hurting anyone except maybe feelings of FA maximalists. But honestly doge isn't bringing anything to the table and doesn't serve a purpose. People just decided to link it mentally to image of a cute doge. And there's nothing wrong with that but there are so many better coins that would be great for adoption. I'm not really a fan of Tesla. But I don't see any big effect on Tesla accepting doge already elon musk bought a big amount of doge coin and I see all this as show off and attention.
He's just trying to drag attention to the coin and help increase his profit,I see doge coin as hype coin.

"Wanting" something is different from what is realistic. I would like to be 6+ feet tall with a ripped body and a billion dollars in my bank account, just because I want it doesn't mean that it will happen. This is why just because we would "want" tesla to accept doge doesn't mean they can.

First of all Tesla is a publicly traded company, if they do something that will hurt the shareholders those same shareholders that brought Tesla so much money and helped them grow so much will leave instantly crashing the stock price which would be horrible for them.

Long story short Doge would be one of the worst business decisions ever and I am sure Elon controls Tesla as much as he wants but when it comes to things like these there are people who can tell him not to and could stop him. This is why I think there is no chance in the world this could happen, even if Elon wanted it.

Frankly, I do not believe Musk will take this step. Yes, he has accepted bitcoin as a payment, also does not exchange to fiat. But is doge a BTC? If he accepts a coin which can change %50 in 1 day as a payment, he has to pay the rest of the car price from his own pocket. Maybe he will accept it by changing to fiat, but still I am absolutely against it being doge. If you want to prove that crypto is valuable, accept ETH, accept LTC. Do not get people confused by doge.

Nowadays, Doge price seems to depend on Elon's tweets. He must realize how his tweets can give an impact on Doge price in the market. It is clear that one of the purposes of his tweets about Doge is to increase its value. However, we cannot blame him, he has the right to tweets anything he likes. If Tesla decides to start accepting DOGE as a means of payment, then i believe it will be great for the whole cryptocurrency market and it will show that cryptocurrency adoption is gradually making it to the mainstream.
It will be fascinating to see if this will really work out, but i see no reasons why it cant work out well. At the end of the day, the decision lies with Tesla and its board.

I don't think it would be a bad development for tesla to accept dogecoin. I am sure it will be a valuable development for Dogecoin. This development shows that the future of dogecoin can now be brighter. Otherwise, if Elon Musk quits dogecoin support, this will not be very beneficial for Dogecoin and it will fall considerably behind in the market.
