Just a fresh post on his Facebook profile. Mark Zuckerberg posts that he named his goats Max & Bitcoin.

https://www.facebook.com/zuck/posts/10112954515429031

No need to login, that's the actual link from his post.
I think this is his gimmick like Elon. He must be holding good number of Bitcoin that's why he wants to promote it in subtle way.
Who, even if he is a strong btc supporter, would name his/her pet after a crypto? Unless of course he wants to promote it.
Why didn't he name it Facebook instead?

I saw the post on Facebook some days back and see no point in publicity naming his pet goat Bitcoin will have no impact on Bitcoin. He should come out openly to support Bitcoin in a more holistic approach.

Is this a Highbreed Goat or an ordinary?  Grin

Mark has almost forgotten here in our community that's why maybe he is trying to show Himself back for His own benefits?

Maybe he is now entering Bitcoin silently and this is His way of showing to try bumping?

Actually that is the main objective mate.

he is targeting showing people that he is still in the seen lol.

There must be a reason behind him naming his goat "Bitcoin". As you can remember, there was some rumours about Facebook buying Bitcoin and preparing to announce it. But it was refuted after some time. But it looks like Zuckerberg might be thinking of buying Bitcoin for real this time.

I think Max is in reference to Max Keiser whose a big advocate of bitcoin. Maybe he's hinting facebook will allow bitcoin payments on marketplace.

Yeah, maybe we will see something like that from Facebook soon. Many people think that they may buy Bitcoin after this but they don't think about this possibility also. But after Elon Musk stopped allowing Bitcoin payments, I wonder if Zuckerberg will have doubts about it also.

What is the big issue about this?

Why make this an issue when Mark is now having no popularity and there are no even news coming from his side.

What is Maxx and for what this will be ?

Whatever the message is that he wanted to convey, I rather interpret it as if he is against Bitcoin because he kills the goats and eats them and now he calls one of them Bitcoin. It would have been much more amusing if he called one of the goats "Dollar".  Grin

I would say that this post is more in line with Zucker's political views. He is a product of the fiat system and he doesn't have anything to gain by supporting cryptocurrency. Perhaps like mv1986 mentioned, he is indirectly implying that he wants to kill Bitcoin and consume it. He tried that once, when he came up with his Libra shitcoin. But unfortunately for him, Libra flopped miserably. Perhaps he still thinks that he can destroy Bitcoin, by inventing something which will eventually replace BTC.

I think Libra did not only flop miserably because there was trouble in Congress. I think Zuckerberg also realized how there was forming an opposition within society and in particular from proponents of decentralization, freedom of choice and privacy, which at the time was a massively growing sector, and still is.

He doesn't have anything to gain as you correctly pointed out and I have this gut feeling that he will never take position on Bitcoin, surely not one that is pro Bitcoin.

Nice name, deciphering the message G.O.A.T = Bitcoin.  Well what do you know Bitcoin being the greatest of all time  Grin
Looks nice, isn't it? but there were also some thoughts that were too negative for me to say and I won't tell that but you know what goats are for.

It is either for slaughter like  sheep, or a negative belief of certain religious group.  Well each one of us had our own interpretation about stuff  Grin.

This is actually hilarious but he would have gone for only Bitcoin now why adding max, looking at the post and all the comments people made I wish him all the best on the naming ceremony of the goat.

Mark has it’s own decision and choice to name his pet. We can’t comment on his personal life.
And to give more light to you then he posted it in Facebook not in twitter.
Not everyone is Elon musk who do tweets for his own profits.
Due to Elon’s negative tweet against Bitcoin , Bitcoin has hugely failed down.
Many people faced huge amount of losses just because of him.
Nevertheless Let’s see when again the price touches rocket. Wish all the BTC holders best of luck.

I find it a clever way to publicly post your vision without being liable and charged to manipulation or anything. In my perspective, I see what Mark Zuckerberg did there.

Mark’s company Facebook is listed to stock market, meaning to say that all his statement might be taken against him if it is something that affects the market or conflicts his interest. By look at this brilliant move posting pets and naming it as a message. No suctions, no cases to be filed and no charges to be made.

I just wanted to speak with Mark and tell him that the message has been received. Max (one of his goat’s name) and Bitcoin (his second goat’s name) only means that, Bitcoin will soon go high as per Mark Zuckerbergs thoughts about it. It might be based with their extensive research, advises or intel. You name it, mark have a massive intelligent people on his payroll so that is not impossible.

That's something interesting, because it is very rare to see such news about Bitcoin. Maybe there were more people using the name of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies for their pets and loved ones, but the one from the popular face reaches as a news. Some has mentioned that he shouldn't have done this for different reasons, but what he have done has given some visibility to bitcoin. This way I see this post to be interesting and a promotional factor for bitcoin.

In a brighter side, by doing this he added information about Bitcoin, either he's just chilling or doing something behind, having lots
of followers and the media hypes, it's still an additional publicity.

Personally I'll take this one a good marketing for Bitcoin, Mark is very well known and like what you have said this news reached a lot
of people there's still positive in anyhow.

It will attract attention and for those who are curious they'll find it and have a much deeper knowledge upon.

You are right and if it is on a negative light it doesn't matter since negative publicity is still publicity. But I doubt that it will be a negative thing since Mark is a technology inclined person and an innovator so there is a high possibility that this is a positive thing.

I am yet to see a single hint of positive approach towards cryptocurrency from Zuckerberg. He seems to hate Bitcoin with a passion, and I don't know exactly the reason for that. There are rumors that the hatred results from the involvement of the Winklewii in Bitcoin sector. He once tried to destroy Bitcoin by coming up with his own version of shitcoin (called Libra). But that plan flopped miserably even before it could be finalized. And actually this might have ignited his hatred even further.
