Its also a way to become poor for sure, be picky on the project u want invest to. Theres plenty altcoin who have a big retracement like EOS, from 14.88$ to 3.42$ which about -75% .
I dont know what worse it can be, but im starting to accumulate EOS, and some PoS coins to averaging down my loss.

I am also sure it would be a great opportunity for a long-term investment, but if we cross the $20k mark it could very well happen that Bitcoin goes down further and stays below the $20k level for quite some time.
