Agreed. I also did the same calculation and realized that investing in jackpots is indeed a noob trap. When you look closer though, you'll see that gambling itself is a noob trap. But not as trap as investing in jackpots. Buying jackpots is straight suicide. Even if you hit it in the future somehow, math says you'll already lose much more than your potential reward.

I can confirm that @roycilik is one of the biggest fans of Slot games I know. And he is one of the luckiest ones too. Being a frequent participant of various Slot Multiplier contests I've seen roycilik winning 1,000x+ so many times I can't even remember, and I believe there were 2,000x+ single wins, and he's also good at competitions where ROI counts. To me it's mind blowing to see such huge wins. Although most gamblers are losing at least some money to slot games, it looks like he's in a good profit overall.
