The deal with Jordi Alba, Busquets and Messi seems to also have been very well orchestrated in advance. I think it is no coincidence that three players like that in a bundle agree to join the last ranked club in the MLS. There was most likely a lot of coordination and negotiation involved.

But yes it is remarkable that they turned Inter Miami upside down and they really keep winning their games or score spectacular last minute goals and keep their nerves at penalty shootouts. The league has seriously benefitted from the Messi transfer.

If you follow MLS on Instagram you will see that their stadium in their recent games is full of people and it is true that most of them come to see Messi.Of course in a league of a much lower quality compared to La Liga Messi can be a huge game changer and in the page of Instagram you will see a lot of magical passes,dribbling,assists and goals from this single player,it looks like Inter Miami is reborn with the arrival of Messi and they are becoming an unbeatable team in the MLS.Next year if they don't change things at Inter Miami most likely they will be undisputed Champions of the MLS and they will be dominating this league for the time being.

I do not think that it would be that much of big deal if they end up getting more players, Miami already is doing great and I bet that they will continue to do even greater as well and should be considered understandable to win the title one day if they keep this up.

The only trouble Miami has is the fact that just like Ronaldo was the start of big payments like that to Saudi league, that means if MLS starts to pay a lot for the star players that may change some stuff. I think it would be quite troublesome and it would make it a bit different. The salary situation is the only thing that matters, we have seen how Saudi league was a terrible low level one and then they started to pay players 100+ million each and now they are bigger, MLS should do that.

If we look at the previous match of Inter Miami against RP Red Bull outside the stadium, the streets were fully packed 3 hours before the match, with dozens of scalpers and people selling unlicensed Messi shirts, and almost half of the fans wore shirts from all three of Messi's clubs and the Argentina national team. Messi was way too young to be here, he is doing things that MLS fans do not even comprehend because this is the same dude that managed to play so well at Ligue 1 just last season, and I think it is going to be tough for people to realize that he is still the best player in the world or at least high up there. He is only 36 years old, I think he had like at least one or even maybe two seasons in him to play at the top level and instead he went to MLS with all that talent.

Messi's influence is huge and due to the interest the club is getting, they have decided to start the construction of their new stadium called the Miami Freedom Park stadium, project estimated to be worth a billion dollars. The stadium will not only house a playing field and area for games, it will have a Public Park, a 750 room hotel, space for retailers and facilities for offices. The management of the club want Lionel Messi to play in it, so they will ensure the project is finished at the the time it is estimated to finish which is in 2025.

Yes but we are talking about a fundamental change in their rules that do not only apply to the MLS, but to all other sports leagues as well right? Don't they have salary caps everywhere? Basketball, baseball, ice hockey, football...

If they were to change it for soccer, that would entail a lot of extra problems and discussions. And if they were to do that, it would still be far below what the Saudi Professional League pays to their superstars. The MLS should try to maintain and improve the attractiveness of their league with what is given to them already. A nice environment for soccer players, a world they can feel comfortable and home, and there are other things as well that sets them apart from the SPL.

But no matter what they do, I think financially there is no league in the world that could ever compete with the sheikhs who are willing to give it their maximum like they are doing now. Money is the hard factor here, so the way is to convince players with the soft factors. But I heard that even there the Saudis know what to do to make like easy and comfortable for the players.

This was a dull performance from Inter Miami since Messi joined the club earlier last month.
I watched every game from his debut and him not scoring was surprising because Lionel scored in each and every match played with them since signing on.

Did anyone notice the new bodyguard of Messi ? His name is Yassine Chueko and he's an ex us navy soldier with a lot of experience who makes him the best in his domain to protect Messi. Funny or not , DePaul has been replaced haha but it's understandable that Messi needs this kind of protection as I do find USA more risky than Europe because in Europe, Messi had bodyguards but they were never so close to him to be noticed.
