Messi being MLS player has less with football and more with afterlife, he wants to settle down in Miami, and part of the contract is possibility for him to take down MLS license (to own a club in the league)
personally, I think that it is better decision that going to Saudi league to play just for money, but every player has his right to chose whatever he wants, both leagues will not bring competitive football after all

can't wait to see his start in Miami, they are lowest ranked team in the league after all, but eyeing several Barca players at the moment

I don't see big difference between MLS and Saudi - both is retirement leagues for stars. Biggest difference that level in MLS is still higher and they can't pay such crazy money. I don't know what should happen that I would turn on Saudi league on TV, but maybe I will try to watch some MLS game if it won't start very late for us in Europe.
It will be interesting to follow Miami with Messi, Busquests and former Barca manager Tata Martino. It would be nice if they would sign Andres Iniesta too.

I'm not completely sure, but it's still a point.
He’s achieved everything. So, he doesn't really need to prove anything. Hopefully he elevates MLS. There's talk about other international players following him at some point, and joining the league because of him. He could become an inspiration for many Americans to play football.

He made a decision to leave Europe so that he can have some fun and spend quality time with his family. It's possible that his main priority is to be with his family and represent his national team in the upcoming Copa tournament. Don't know others, but I'm planning to watch MLS. MLS have Lionel Messi, and I'm sure this time around it'll be quite interesting journey.

Something attracted my attention that Messi prefers to speak in only his own language wherever he goes.    Anyway as for his transfer to Inter Miami I hope he can make the league much more watchable than before. Of course it is hard to predict if he would show the same performance he has done at PSG for example. But I don't think Messi would be like Ronaldo's current version after leaving Europe. currently Inter Miami is one of the worst teams in the MLS they occupy the last position in the table and in the last 11 games of the MLS they will not be able to win in any game, honestly this is beyond being bad, this is a great disaster, how is it possible that a team in 11 games has not managed to win at least 1? it makes me think: what the hell will messi do for such a team? I wonder if there is a reason only players that Messi has played in Barcelona are being brought to the MLS to join him. Because these are players that he has played with before, they should all have no problems getting used to each other again and being able to play as one team to win the competition as they have done before during their time in Spain. Inter Miami have not won a league game in about two months. That's a very poor run. I hope things will get better for them.
I don't really follow the MLS and I don't know the strength of the teams that much so I can't really tell how effective the signing of these new players will be. Messi is still among the best in the world and I have no doubt he will explode in the MLS. Despite how good they may be, it will be almost impossible to win all their games. The players they signed as nothing players that are at the peak of their career. They're players at the eclipse of their career so it will do us a lot of good to not have ridiculous expectations.
I will be following the MLS henceforth to an extent and I hope it becomes very interesting because the competitions and calander year is very different from what we have in Europe.
