Well, I think you can set emails such that only subscribed ones are actually received in your inbox? Or you can just filter your messages at first so that you can only see promotions. Afaik, person-to-person emails aren't included in the promotions filter of emails so it would be a lot easier to see which emails are legit promotions and which are not. Wouldn't actually blame most people for not checking the "From" label tbh, most people grew up like that.
