What ? the next ETH? are you kidding? there is only one Ethereum and that can never change  lol.

Polkadot?  do you really think that this will come a top? not for me because this is a shitcoin that pretend to be a good one but in the end? you'll see then.

Next Ethereum? I don't think so there will be a next Ethereum. There were already a lot of new projects are popping everywhere and claiming the next Ethereum, the Ethereum killer. But no hate here, yes we can say some are almost the same with Ethereum, most of the new projects now are Layer 1 and most of them are the best alternative on Ethereum because of high transaction fee, like Solana or Polygon (MATIC) (Layer 2, top of Ethereum)

So many coins that attempt to be the next ethereum but they never win .

IMHO, I don't think Polkadot can beat Ethereum even in the next few years, don't get me wrong I'm not against PolkaDot but I don't think it can be the next Ethereum if we base on the trend, Binance Smart Chain is more capable and popular compare to any other smart-contract platforms. it is more appropriate to say that BSC as a copycat of Ethereum will be the next eth. But just only my opinion!

I see the next Ethereum is BNB because they have a platform that can beat ethereum and BNB has a lot of new launchpad tokens so the demand is definitely increasing and I'm sure BNB can beat Ethereum in the near future.

New coins that are ready to compete with ethereum are there in binance, is not only even the BNB, we have numerous coin's but BNB has the highest values to be equate to ethereum, but soon they will be numerous coins that will come up such as, AAVE and XMR, so these coin's will definitely be a ethereum competitor base on the way I'm seeing them via future reference, but it might not be the way i narrates it here, it may speed up or not, but it's something that may come up today or next tomorrow, but let us have it in mind that these are ethereum competitors.

Yes so far I don't see any other coin can replace Ethereum even a coin like BNB,
for Polkadot itself if we compare it with Ethereum of course it is still far away,
what is clear is that Ethereum is an irreplaceable coin I think especially if eth 2.0 is released maybe it will make the price go up

This is my only opinion but I think for me the next Ethereum is the Binance Coin, I used this for a quite time now and the fee is way more better than the Ethereum which is really high well I think a Polkadot was similar to Ethereum but in terms of transaction I think I would go for BNB. After all it's just my own opinion.

I don't know, what parameters you use to say that Polkadot will be like Ethereum .
But I prefer that BNB will be like Ethereum in user scalability as well as network size. Although Ethereum is different from BNB, there are actually some points in common between the two platforms. Namely the business model offered for DeFi purposes and so on.

Not sure is there any replacement for now, IMHO Ethereum 2.0 Will change everything and will make eth more unstoppable with more features but lower cost but if you ask me there will be small chance that some Network will replace it, Some of Them is Polkadot, AVAX, TRX or BSC but i suppose it's just going to become alternative for ETH. You can see lot of experts says some set of coins as the future of cryptocurrencies but no one can say sure that it will happen, since future is unpredictable.

when talking about gas fee, ETH is much more expensive compared to BNB after the increase in ETH prices in early 2021. currently ETH gas costs are not too bad, but at any time it can turn out to be expensive/cheap depending on usage, I mean transactions in the market who use ETH for 24 hours.

its problem will solved if ethereum network scalability improved, new ethereum with better network will released in near future and it could be main trigger to solve all problem which is complained by crypto community so far. current gas only on around 5.5 to 10 gwei , and its really excited to see this fee, if compared several weeks or months ago which is could hit above 100gwei.

They have various networks and chains to offer but you're right that there's no one that can replace Ethereum.

The gas fee for Ethereum had dropped already but it's still an issue due to the price of Ethereum. Even if the fees drop while the price of Ethereum is high, many will still think that the fees are high because of the value that they're converting it to fiat/dollars.

This happens every single time, but situation won't be changed. Nowadays very common scenario is a random project launch with the manifesto- which is next Ether killer bla bla.. Those project simple replicate, grow some hype at initial stage but Ether all the way up.
