Since i joined the crypto world i didnt face any problem regrading wallets but i see that many people lose funds...somtimes the situation is normal like when somone share his private key or back up phrase in a scam website...but lets imagine that somone open a nwe wallet on trust and start using it without even keeping the phrase...is there a way to enter his wallet and make transactions without even having the back up phrase?
No one can enter your wallet without the private key and back up phrases, Trust Walt wallet is one of the best wallets I have used for years and I have not found any problems with it. You just have to save the private key and back up phrases on an external hard drive and do not open suspicious links via mail or on Telegram from strangers.

For me, we cannot rule out the possibility of hacking if the user is careless about keeping the information of his or her wallet. The hackers are very creative right now in way of determining seed phrases and passwords and appying social engineering tactics in order to pull any information about these person's information. I mean information is power right now and if you are not careful with the way you secure your information then you will be susceptible to hacking.

You have a different question on the title and the post itself, well backup phrase is very important so you should always have that in a safe place. Your wallet is safe as long as you protect it and you keep your keeps privately, never share it to anyone. Trust wallet is a great wallet, don’t waste your money so start saving your phrase now.

Being able to make transactions from your trust wallet and having the backup saved are two different things. You can make transactions if you are already logged in to the account after you created it but once you lose the device or somehow clear data from the app or anything like that happens, you cannot recover your wallet because you didn't save the backup code. But it also means that since you never saved the backup code, no one else should be able to hack you because if you don't know the private code yourself, you cannot share it with anyone even if you are naive. The only way someone can make transactions is if they have access to the device from the wallet is already logged in.

You are right hackers have evolved with the technology but the problem OP has shared is weird and confusing. He says is it possible to make a new wallet within trust wallet and without saving the private key is it possible to log in? I don't think it is possible to login if you forgot to save the passphrase. @OP You need to clear the question because the title is pointing towards a third person, it sounds like someone is making you believe they got hacked. While the thread content makes me feel like you are learning about the trust wallet operations and whether one should save the private key or not. If you are in the dilemma of whether to save the passphrase or not, please do it because you cannot recover your coins in case you lost access to the wallet.

Why would it get hacked if you are the only one who knows your backup seed phrases? I honestly do not believe in such claims that our Trust Wallet would get hacked unless you are dumb to give him your seed phrases or just getting misleaded in an unsafe website where it asks you to “recover” your Trust Wallet by asking your seed phrases. Just don’t fall for it. As long you have your seed phrases, you are good.

I guess you can trust him if he really can't re-access his account if he logs out of the device, but if the account is still there he can back up the wallet password at any time, and is only asked to enter the password that was set the first time the wallet was created.

No, of course not. There is no way anybody could just access your wallet like that. Don't ever believe to people saying your trust wallet is hacked. Just make sure that you didn't share your seed phrase to anybody.
But I'm wondering why you didn't keep the phrase with you. It's actually all that you need to make sure you really have your coins with you whatever happens.
If you happen to create a new wallet next time and decide to save the seed phrase, the best way to save it is somewhere you do not connect online.

when making transactions I think there is no need to use a spare phrase. because the backup phrase is just to make a backup in case you are going to move it. To keep it safe then you should really save phrase seeds, plus if you have a lot of assets in your wallet, it is very important to save recovery seeds. maybe if you don't save the wallet recovery seed, at least your assets should be sent all to the new wallet that you have saved the backup seed.

It could be possible to be hacked if your device is rooted/jailbroken and it has some malware with root access. An app with click and over the app permission can initiate a withdrawal even without you knowing. Or even an app that could access your clipboard can change the copied address and send your coins to a different address than you intend to. You need to be extra careful while using a rooted phone.

I mean if somone can get access to other one wallet without having his back up phrase...sorry for my bad explication 😁
You won't be able to access other people wallet without having their backup/recovery phrase. Though there is little possibility of accessing other user wallet by typing the twelve words recovery phrase randomly in trust wallet. But the possibility is almost zero to get the access of someone else wallet. Cause, everyone gets individual and unique backup phrase. So it won't be easy to get other people backup phrase by inputting it randomly.

Just like you correctly said, that the only way to get access to someone's wallet is through his private keys or backup phrase, which is also only possible if the person visits a scam website, use a clone or fake application or gives a scam website access to his wallet through connecting in DApp, DApp as seen in wallets like Trust wallet etc. To the best of my understanding, these are the ways in which a wallet can be hacked. On the other hand, if a user fails to backup his private keys or backup phrase, he only puts himself at a very high risk of losing his assets which is only possible when he loses his phone; losing his assets in this case is, he won't be able to access it again. So in order words, not backing your backup phrase do not give hackers access to a wallet but it places the owner at a high risk, which I explained earlier. If you do not have a backup phrase of someone, you can't access the person's wallet. I think most wallets like Imtoken, will always mandate the user to backup first before using the wallet.

he can still use or transact using the wallet on his cellphone but not if he uninstalls it or deletes the wallet because it doesn't save the recovery phrase, so the way for him to access it again is to save the private key or the phrase.
Yes, and if the private key or phrase isn't saved, then there's no way to access it unless he creates a new wallet on the same device and that obviously won't restore the wallet he's used before.

Are you trying to tell that the scams are due to phishing sites and is it possible for someone to start a new wallet on trustwallet? and then why would you avoid taking the pass phrase back up. Basically you want to know whether anyone can enter your wallet like a magician without even having your pass phrase, it is almost impossible to get in without any information.

I have same case like that, i never share my private key anywhere from around 2017 and only using metamask but my wallet get hacked it's coming from malware on Dekstop & Android Device, i lost around $1500 from there and you cann see it yourself here 0x2D923A09Bf3110b21381A528552700531dE83F63 (Lost UNI & ETH), It's possible since there was some site that generating random Ethereum address with private key like ethdir.io but the chance was very small, Beside that trust wallet can be compromised if your android phone was hacked and monitored since everything you do on phone will be tracked even though it's hard, Well just be careful and use Change address for every 1-3 months, beside that never click any suspicious link. Good luck!

I didn't get what is the question but it is not possible to hack a wallet without access to a private key or seed phrase. The owner of the account should activate additional security steps in order to protect the coins from hackers, the private key should be kept on offline storage. Just don't download anything you have no idea what it is. Private Key or Seed is the main things to protect WALLET. Who losses funds definitely i think they are victim by scam phishing sites where they imported wallet seed even a lot of newbies participating airdrop where asking to import private key. And you know where you store private seed it’s also very important.
Exactly, without the exposed private key Hackers can't do anything about public wallet address. Better be safe than sorry, otherwise loss can be uncoverable, IMHO.

Making transactions using the wallet only needs the password so yes you can make transactions. The only time that you need the seed phrase is when you want to recover the wallet.
But if someone says my wallet is hacked, I'm not sure I would believe it unless the funds are already gone. I may have to check the blockchain for maybe the wallet just got some issues that coins are not appearing on the wallet.
Trust Wallet can be entered if a hacker breaks into your e-mail. Thus, he will have access to all saved passwords, bookmarks, other synchronized academic records, and so on. Now I just click on the Trust wallet application and it opens for me without any passwords and this causes me some concern. Anyone who enters the wallet will have access to all created multi-currency wallets and all available cryptocurrencies and, if desired, will copy the keys in the form of 12 words. It looks like it's possible even if you won't share your private keys with third parties.

Only people who are careless and doesn't know how to secure their wallet can have a possibility of losing their funds or wallet. Private key or back up phrase are very important things for your wallet, you should secure it and do not give to anyone or enter in an unknow site because you do not know what kinds of apps they have on their device that can hack your wallet.

Do not do that, you are the first person who actually notice and know if your trust wallet is hack or not, the question is, is your wallet is inaccessible if yes nothing to worry about that, there's a lot of email most of us received that our wallet etc are compromised , so they are offered solution, again, do not believe or click the link coitain by the email, because not only your wallet will compromise, even your smart phone or pc are at risk.

Hmmm it's hard to happened if we save our key and seed well. Most people got hacked because of their own doing. They are sometimes clicking on random giveaway websites or filling form for airdrops without checking multiple times. So we have to secure ourself with our wallet with doing safe activity on the internet.
