Yes for now totally a bad timing for the crypto market with altcoins. There are many top altcoins price goes to down so you can buy now high quality altcoins with cheap price. At least if covid-19 will gone then the crypto market can back again. Moreover demanding of the altcoins market every low right now so we should wait long.

I think that most investors have already bought the coins, as they thought, at the lowest price. But these altcoins lost even more in value after bitcoin failed to grow in price above $42000. And as a result, the price of altcoins has decreased not only against the dollar, but also against bitcoin is at the lowest level.

The answer is hype, then another question is how? Hype is very good in this space we find ourselves, and that is why most team pays a good attention to it, and thus paying YouTube influencers and so on to promote their project, because they know that once hype sets in the token price will pump. And also, with hype in a project and the price growing, most people do not care if there is use case or not, but just profit; this is the reason why most shitcoins pumps more than most legit coins. That is, legit coins takes their time to offer something meaningful that will last long term.
But yet, when it comes to risks, these shitcoins posses more risk than legit coins, and now the market is in a bad shape, those shitcoins are either dead or worthless, while most good coins are still holding strong and ready to grow once the condition is right.
Lastly, it is good coins with utility that are keeping this space going as well as making it more attractive to investors, example, Bitcoin, Ethereum etc.

you can say it is bad time for altcoins because almost all altcoins have been drop half to its ATH. if you see ETH, its ATH is approximately 4350$ and today eth price is 2150, which is half of 4350$. so I hope we will soon see the good time for altcoins.
if you are talking about memecoins (shitcoins), why they are increasing, so I will answer you that they have no their utilities so they increased or pump only on hype and richer's tweets. I don't think they have increased with their own potential once.

Its true, also, its because many of them are small cap coins, so its easy to manipulate by some small whales.
Agree, invest on such of that projects very risky, but scalping them for a small profit and fun its just ok, but for a good purpose dont show off them, it will just mislead another people to follow you.

But please once more, be careful, this is very risky, ensure that you are ready with the risks of losing money. It is once again, better to invest in top coins although they are likely hard to increase. Those that have strong fundamentals will be worthier in the future.

Yeah, everytime is a good time to invest on strong fundamentals coin. Just dont all in on a time, keep buying small by small so you can averaging down if something bad happens.

It is always a bad time if you do not know how to invest and its always a good time if you know what you are doing. I personally do not invest during these periods because I believe that there is a good chance we could make a loss if we do not know what bitcoin will do, I need it to go down a bit more, and I already have some bitcoins anyway so I do not really need to rush anything. I just buy whenever I feel like it is down enough, and that would be good for me.

If it was going up I would buy too, I buy almost all the time, I just do not want to right now because it doesn't feel right at the moment. At the end its your own decision, it is a bad time when you say it is a bad time, nobody else can say it is a bad time if you believe it is a good time, what others do is guess just like you would and that means you are as right as anyone else when you are predicting because it is just assumption.

but now is also a very good time to increase our assets because this is a very good time and this is like a pretty big discount and certainly profitable.

Every day there are always altcoins that skyrocket and die, this is natural because competition for more than 10k altcoins makes everything possible, we can always get big profits as long as we actively follow crypto developments.

Increasing cryptocurrencies on daily basis makes bad times for everybody. Traders arround the world have their own mind to invest in any altocoins. We can not predict in altocoins what is going to happen next. I saw some youtube video about taking entries in altocoins, if we take that we will never ever catch our buying too easily. You are not the only one seeing this kind of situation in altcoins, eversince i started in cryptocurrency there are a lpt of projects that have a good future but in the end its always ended failure. Its because their community is not supporting the projects successfully. And its not new nowadays that meme coins is more profitable than any legit altcoins, it happens before that most of the altcoins that have little chance to be legit is more profitable and more people gain profits from them.

Many of the smaller shitcoins are under heavy manipulation and the promoters usually trigger pump-and-dump cycles so that they can sell their coins. First of all the trading volume is low (because most of the supply is not available for trade), and then these coins are not listed in a large number of exchanges. And sometimes, the exchange owners are corrupt and freeze the deposit of these coins. It creates an artificial scarcity of the coin, and this results in a jump in the prices.

I have seen this strategy manytimes in the past with shitcoins. When a shitcoin is under pump, it will be impossible to deposit that coin to the exchange. Because the exchange owners in collaboration with the shitcoin promoters would not allow the coin to be deposited in to the exchange. The promoters will be already having their coins in the exchange wallets. They will make use of the opportunity and sell the coins, while the other users don't have this option. By the time they are able to move their coins, the dump phase might have started.

It won't happen dude. The altcoin gets dumped but when some bad projects already dead and then the creator of thse dead projects will be creating a new one with the different name. the bearish market means nothing for the people but we can hope that people will always try to pick the legit altcoin instead of send their money to the garbage tokens.

Do you mean projects with anonymous teams? I think any project with an anonymous team can invest in. Other programmers will censor the source code and give reviews. Legitimacy is only one aspect and any project can build a legal system, even legitimate projects can fail or stop halfway. In the crypto space, only source code is still the most important thing.

I guess this time around when the market was on the unknown territory whether it will go up or down better you say on sidelines and wait for a breakout and a retest, that's the best thing a patient traders/retail investors can do.

If Bitcoin moves towards the upside it will affect most altcoin either to be left out so better pick the large market cap coins not those who are on the lower cap, mid cap coins will do too.
