With the help of campaign managers, bitcointalk will be more active if they bring back the old way of accepting participants, like accepting even jr. member ranks. Most campaigns now only accept Hero to Legendary Members. I think Jr. Members rank is okay with the payment even if it is only $10 per week or less. This would also help the campaign and save some funds. But assume high amount of spam post once this once is implemented.
In the past there was signature only and avatar only campaigns and others using both signatures and avatars. At that time junior and members have more options to join campaigns. Few years ago, maybe with the merit system implementation and stricter policies regarding spam, in addition to the availability of relatively important number of higher ranks, it becomes less attractive to recruit less than Full Member. I would say that the situation of Full Member of nowadays was the same as junior member years ago regarding signature campaigns. Didn't know there's an update in the signature design restrictions. The last I remember, they allowed junior members to put link and text with a maximum of 160 characters, and 4000 to 8000 characters for legendary and hero members. Could you please provide me with the link to the update?

The truth is, due to the ICO boom, there were so many signature campaigns both that would pay in Bitcoin and altcoins (ICOs) thus so many opportunities. This gave an opportunity for even Jr Members to participating ICO signature campaigns, which were also so well rewarding most of the time in that Bull run. After that period, the ICO bounties became less lucrative and people switched to Bitcoin paying signature campaigns. There was an influx of high ranking users and with the few campaigns left, Most CMs resorted to accepting only Sr Member ranks and above. It's just about demand and supply and the service being advertised trying to get the best out of what they pay for advertising.

Could you please provide me with the link to the update? I might wrote in a complex manner here. What I meant by stricter policies isn't the Bitcointalk itself implementing new rules, even though this happened before when theymos removed the ability of new junior and members from wearing avatars. I meant signature campaigns wants to mark its presence as maximum as possible so getting someone with an avatar for example is better than having a tiny text that few people could pay attention to. I think signature campaigns will interest more for lower ranks whenever they want to increase the number of visitors and potentially users, to their website. It is a low budget move since many people will invest there and ends up by losing in a way or another. .

There must be a reason for campaigns not bothering with junior members. Sure, they could pay them much less and probably there would still be takers, but if the cost of managing junior members (i.e. checking their posts, making sure they're not breaking the rules, making payments etc) exceeds any potential benefits, then it's simply not worth it. Junior's signatures are simply hardly visible on the forum, so they're not very good in terms of either creating more brand awareness or getting people to click on the links. Just be patient, stay active and try to rank up.

Yeah, they allowed links years ago but updates happened in order to combat spam. Signature campaigns as a whole has become stricter over time including what type of users campaign managers go for. There are little to no opportunities even at member level -- probably also because they want folks who have more experience in the forum. BTW, I believe the stickied thread about forum ranks on meta board should be updated, see: Signature restrictionsThere are restrictions on signatures, based on your activity/rank. - Newbie: No styling (including links) allowed. Max 50 characters. - Jr. Member: Max 150 characters. - Member: Links allowed. Unlimited length. - Full: Color allowed. - Sr. Member: Size allowed - Hero: Background color allowed

Fast forward, a new signature campaign has opened spots for jr. members and above. Learn more on the official Payouts and Positions: - Jr. Member - Full Member: $20 per week - Sr. Member - Legendary: $40 per week
Though, it does look painfully obvious they aren't aware of the forum dynamics and did not hire a manager as well so I'm expecting more changes to likely roll out couple of days after. Who knows if they'll keep the rank spots or perhaps there'd be a pay change. There'd be no loss for people interested to apply now though.

Yeah, it looks a bit dodgy and raises few red flags. No manager, low effort signature design (which doesn't seem to even display properly for some ranks), no escrow, ran by junior account. Then again, the account cryptomus_com was registered in 2022 and is running the relevant ANN thread, so at least we know is not some guy trolling. I wouldn't bother with this one even if I was not enrolled in my current campaign.

When I looked at the Signature campaign ANN some hours back, it was over 5 pages of replies and I was wondering what could have attracted so many users to apply so fast only to realized it was accepting Jr member rank as well. I am more than certain there are some individuals who have woken up their Alternate low ranking accounts in order to participate in that campaign. Maybe it's also a good campaign for low rank members to grab an opportunity and start off a journey here. Time will tell.

There are not many free slots in the campaigns. Probably many people think that $20 is still 20x more than $0 Plus, to be realistic, the power of the Bitcointalk forum is declining, and so is the payment rate for campaigns. Although $20 for Jr. member ranks as quite the correct payment. For example, just a few months ago, $50 a week on altcoinstalks was considered miserable.

On the other hand, the campaign’s funding does not seem low, as the number of people who will be accepted is 50, and approximately a small number of signature campaigns have that. If we take 50*20, the minimum weekly payment is 1000, which is exactly the same as a $100 signature campaign for 10 accounts. I think they should change the campaign manager and everything will be fine, but what caught my attention most was the large number of reviews for the service, even though it was the first time I heard about them.

I didn't mean to defend the cheaters, but the @OP didn't mention if they prohibit alt accounts usage, so it's in grey area. Someone had caught alt accounts that participated in the same campaign, but there are few users said participating in the same campaign doesn't mean they're cheater and will receive negative feedback because there are no rules they broke, moreover this forum allow alt accounts.

If you have a junior account, you're active on the forum anyway and there are no alternatives (i.e. other campaigns accepting juniors) then any price is a good price as it doesn't cost you anything. I see similar thing on the other forum, altcoinstalk, where there are dozens of applicants for a single available slot, even knowing they only pay $1/post (Senior-Legendary) and $0.50 for full member. I guess this is still attractive for people from poorer countries and/or for young people who just to make some income. Plus, to be realistic, the power of the Bitcointalk forum is declining, and so is the payment rate for campaigns. Although $20 for Jr. member ranks as quite the correct payment. For example, just a few months ago, $50 a week on altcoinstalks was considered miserable.
The decline in payment rates is almost entirely due to the ban on mixers, as they offered the best payments. When I got back to the forum in 2022/2023 after few years of inactivity, I was surprised to see payments being so high despite the drop in the forum's activity. If I remember correctly, $1/post was considered a very decent pay say around 2014 (although the dollar was worth much worth). Yeah, in terms of a number of users, it will be quite large campaign, but, in terms of budget, it'll be around average. So it's a bit odd that they're willing to put in all that money but are not bothered with getting properly designed signatures or hiring a campaign manager.

I agree with the points you've mentioned, on the other hand it's difficult to come up with a campaign that accepts from jr member and that the payment isn't that low (considering the ranking), since the signature of jr member is almost not visible (it has been a while since I've see jr member signature). Another factor that draws attention is the budget, when it is too much, the risk of the campaign lasting too little is high, even more so when it's not managed by any reliable manager. But I hope that everything goes well for those selected and that it will become a good campaign and that the company behind it manages to obtain the desired marketing results here on the forum.

Lol. Pretty much why I was expecting a pay change. Perhaps they saw a campaign with one payrate for senior members and above hence decided it works similarly with the lower ranks? 🤔 Welp, there are big gaps with the lower ranks as far as signature restrictions are concerned hence a one payrate is imbalanced imo. I didn't mean to defend the cheaters, but the @OP didn't mention if they prohibit alt accounts usage, so it's in grey area. I wonder if the rule has been suggested to OOP? it could be they're unaware why the rule is important, if so.

Everything you said are right, i was just sharing my speculation. But once they're more familiar with this forum, i doubt they'll continue let allowing alt. account join their signature campaign. And existence of thread Known Alts of any-one - A User Generated List Mk IV (2024 Q2) [MODERATED] 🤨🔬 tell us that using alt. account (especially to join signature/bounty campaign) doesn't look good in eyes of many members. I expect those who got caught might receive neutral tag.

Although $20 for Jr. member ranks as quite the correct payment. I agree that the Bitcointalks traffic has been on a decline over past months but in the late 2018 to 2019 period just during the previous bull market's hangover, most of the services pulled out from campaigning and except for some very few signature campaigns like that of chipmixer, fortunejack, bustadice. Most campaigns had legendary ranks, getting around $50-$40 and would last only for a couple of weeks. Member ranks would have to part with something close to $10 For example, just a few months ago, $50 a week on altcoinstalks was considered miserable.
How is it so far over there? Are there new services streaming in to advertise, or the whole thing just ended at the migration of mixers?

I see there are many campaigns paused in this week (Ok.fun, Spinarium, Betfury, Swgt, BK8), I count there are 76 users in these campaigns. This is an opportunity for new projects that want to run signature campaign or other campaigns that want to increase the number of promoters with high quality posters since they don't have to fight to increase the reward.
However, sad to see there are not much campaigns if we compare to the last year.

How is it so far over there? Are there new services streaming in to advertise, or the whole thing just ended at the migration of mixers?
Mixers are mostly there, at least as far as signature campaigns are concerned. There will be some from other branches, but mostly short-term, only for a few weeks. I don't know how many you follow mixers area, but a couple of well-known mixers (at least on Bitcointalk) have gone out of business, some have turned into scams, and in the meantime, some new ones have appeared. For now, the campaigns and the growth of the forum itself are still on an upward path, so we will see what time will bring.

We cannot expect campaigns to be always pumping like that, we have to also consider the interest of some of these organizations bringing in their service promotion here, they faces a lot of challenges as well from their own end, secondly, we just need to be more tuned to how the way of these telegram bounties and tokens with airdrops are fast approaching and many of these organizations may also wish to join in this new trend because telegram campaigns now is being considered as one of the most lucrative advertisement idea and platform, even though bitcointalk still have more edge over them, but people try to test on new approaches and discovery before they determine which they settle with.
