You are a merit source, all I am also seeing is that you can distribute merit the way you want to people having quality posts on this forum,  but I thought you have created a merit giveaway thread before which is still active and not locked, I think that is enough to be able to distribute merit to people that wants to rank up. I remembered I applied there when I wanted to rank to full member but you were unable to rank me up, it was Heisenberg_Hunter that ranked me up. Also when I wanted to rank to senior member, I applied there but you were not able to rank me up there earlier but DdmrDdmr ranked me up there to be senior member. If people are still helping you in ranking up members that are just about to rank up on the thread, I think this new merit giveaway thread is not necessary.

There is a thread created by DdmrDdmr where you can also check forum users that are about to rank up, I noticed this when a user sent me 4 merits because he saw me among people that wanted to rank up at the time, sent me message how he noticed my account and linked to this thread created by DdmrDdmr. I have even helped someone before by sending him 3 merits when I saw his account on the thread that he will soon rank up. nutildah also has created a thread to be sending 50 max or lesser amount of merits to active members of this forum that apply there, though the thread was locked yesterday but which will still be opened as I think as he mentioned after 30 days, but I am not sure though if it will be opened, but I think that is what he meant by the statement 'just remind me when the 30 days are up'.

There is this LoyceV thread also that users can post about their past works or other member's past work on this forum, if truly they have contributed on this forum, many were rank up. Many merit sources make use of the thread to rank people up and also to send merit to worthy posts, ou can also make use of it.

I am not saying this thread is not good enough, but you have one active merit giveaway already where even some merit source are helping in sending merits to people the applied there that just want to rank up which makes this one not necessary.

Please do not see this wrongly, it is just my opinion, you can even edit the first merit giveaway thread that you created to your new rules than creating another one, or editing it to what you think will possibly help active forum members that have quality post history.

Oh man - many thanks for this , I truly appreciate it   For me personally I take a lot more from the forum than I put in - this is one space I enjoy and continually learn from. There are a lot of members on your list who are more deserving than me and genuinely add a lot more to the forum than I do.  I genuinely appreciate it and  would say the only thing in my favour is that I spend countless hours on here learning. I am not againsting this at all, I was just thinking a single merit giveaway thread is okay, but this is just my opinion, my opinion may not be perfect enough and I know you want to contribute in the merit giveaways which will help many members to rank up. Well, if this will favor this forum members, it is still a good step taken by you.

I would like to suggest, two more members. both are active and constructive members and all of their merits are earned, now they are very close to Hero rank.
perhaps merit source to push them and give them encouragement to move on.

This ia a good initiative @Ratimov, aside from Coin1 and DdmrDdmr thread for ranking pipeline this will served also as a list for potential rank up members. Maybe some will find this redundant but I think its fine as long as the purpose is to monitor potential members. Anyway supporting this idea.

I saw some of users from our local hope they rank up soon.

I think there was an initiative similar to this by @TheBeardedBaby a few years back where they tracked the users similar to this who were in the pipeline of ranking up and I was one among them to be ranked up to Full Member back in 2018. I don't think it's being maintained anymore and a topic like this (provided they are being constantly updated) deserves a mention.

AFAIK users who are ranking up to Hero/Legendary will never request/ask for their last ranking up merits in redundant merit distribution threads and I think this along with Coin-1's topic is the only way to track them and rank them up in the process. Though DdmrDdmr's Merit Dashboard is quite helpful and does the same work, a thread like this could be helpful at times.

How about giving merits to those who created good quality posts or threads that deserves a merit even though that user already got a few merits? . In that way, those users can rank up. I remember submitting my application on the thread mentioned by oshondy before but I didn't got the chance to get merit that time since I still need few more in that moment and this time I still need 100+ more.

I still need to contribute as far as I can and maybe I am deserving or not. It made me think that I didn't deserved it so I tried to educate myself and there it is I ranked up on october 2020. I have seen some constructive threads and replies but didn't get much attention instead of focusing only on those who almost ranked up. Just an opinion and suggestions though.

There are many topics on the forum for such merit stimulation of users for good posts. This is a topic for the earliest possible rankings for those users who have a little merit left for a new rank. It's just that if I create a similar topic, like the one you are writing about, I won't have enough merit to rate everyone who has good and valuable posts. Therefore, I have to confine myself to narrow frames.

I understand what you wanted to do. I did see many topics like these. Topics like these helped me to reach full member rank because of DdmrDdmr's thread and of course, your previous thread mentioned by oshondy helped too when they saw that I only need a few merits to reach sr. member rank.

We have so many potential users in different dimensions but the problem is that you can only be aware or know those that is closer to you or those you are familiar with, so many people who are not merit source has been helping people's in all ramifications most especially new users, but at this point a user that the merit remain like five merits or ten merits to rank up to certain position have to detect by a merit source to uplift its position, Ratimov i acknowledge this thread because its a helpful topic despite that this kind of thread has created before by some reputable members here. Two other members got enough Merits to Rank up. I helped some of those on that list but I don't think they are good enough to get more than 12 Merits so they have to wait a bit.

I don't know if my source have been increased but I am starting to feel like I am getting more than usual.

Do you think this will be a more convenient form of registering potential users or not?

It's more convenient, just the link bearing the users username and leading to the users profile is okay for anyone who wants to go through their profile and prolly help them up to the next rank, and there in the profile they can see the users activity too (so removing it from the table is just fine), as for the merits missing, one can just easily calculate that since the new table has the users present merit count, imo, I think it's just fine this way, easier to understand and to edit too.
