I think the market potential is still very good to see some coins that will become big, old projects are certainly very safe and promising for the long term, while for daily trading we can choose new listed coins, and some coins that I think will skyrocket are XRP, MATIC and TRON.

With old projects, it's true that there's more reassuring feeling than the new ones. But not all of the old projects are good to still look it especially those that have already made to their ATH.
XRP was on the top and hasn't reached back yet the last ATH that it's got. But it's making people impressive now but if you're for the tech of it, you'll find it that many will have to go against that principle.

Old projects who continue to progress are still good assets to hold, and regarding to XRP, September month was good for those holders especially those folks who rides after the Sec updates, the value of this coin almost doubled in a span of less than a month and still doing good, if you have that trust to this asset you can buy and hold as you mentioned this project still not reaching the last time high and if this good momentum continue the chance of reaching and passing the old ATH is still possible.

You just need to understand the potential before you deal with any project that you plan to invest. The more you engage with the project, the better you anticipate the pump..

Honestly i am focus on several altcoin that maybe next year will explode due fundamental release. RSR , ALGO ,CHZ and DYDX Will be my top list. All of them Will release each strong fundamental as price action trigger. World cup could drive algo and chz price, dydx chain will be main triggger in Q4 . Rsr mainnet also almost done , so no need worry about all them although at this moment price still under pressure.

Near Protocol and Polkadot is very best coin and in bear it's handy chance to collect as more as can. There is chancea if Bitcoin to go further down. And crash to 12k-14k . Polkadot is trading above 6$ and it's ATH was 52$. Similarly Near Protocol is getting Big partnership day by day and it will suddenly blow with huge power.

DOT had been silent since last year , after the ATH this coin stays lowering and yet to cover the losses for almost a year now, wondering if there is better coming this next semester?

You should be searching coingecko new listings, not coinmarketcap. Nobody uses coinmarket cap now that Binance took over. The data they use to determine market cap is garbage and they don't list every project like coingecko does. Another thing you should consider, 99% of projects are scams. If you invest in an older project that is down 90% because of the bear market, you are a lot less likely to lose money and more likely to gain money when it returns to its previous all time high when the bull market comes back. This is my strategy when it comes to ICP and IOTA.

I agree with you on NEAR protocol for sure but I do not agree that ETHW will be successful. Maybe if they hadn't snapshotted the entire ETH chain because that just caused a lot of confusion for people. Some altcoins launching at the end of 2022 that I am looking foreward to are Lamina1 and MAXX finance. There are very many new projects that end up being scams and that's why investing in new projects is very risky,
indeed sometimes someone wants to take risks but it needs really mature consideration,
