It is before when the network is very congested and TRX is also one of the choices for an alternative transaction to save fees. But today, Eth and Bitcoin transactions were now cheap and I consider it really cheap compared to those days that we're looking for an alternative. There are many cheap fast alternative tokens that have a strong project background and have a solid potential like BNB, EOS, XRP. It would better to just settle on those than relying so much on DOGE. The point of Dogecoin (key lessons on the success of Dogecoin) is that there is success in (1) early bird advantage and mass adoption, (2) simplicity,  (3) power of influence. As the first or one of the first meme altcoin, just like bitcoin being the first coin, it has gained mass adoption. Secondly, the simplicity of the coin - as there are no complex technical explanations to be made about the coin, can be an attractive feature for those that are not technically savvy. It shows that simplicity, sometimes can be attractive. Thirdly, the appreciation in the coin value when Elon Musk tweets is a typical example of the power of influence.

In fact, it is really only a meme coin, there is no special application in it, only a PR manager as the richest person on the planet, and this, as we see, is enough for the coin to be traded on top exchanges and cost more expensive than other projects where there is an idea and practical application.

Dogecoin may not be just a meme. but there is another point, because in the past the doge coin was campaigned for the first time the doge team gave an advantage if the doge coin could be used for a low-cost crypto transaction system with a low doge price, but for now after the hype doge maybe doge will become a coin with a slightly increased cost than before

The funniest part of the dogecoin boom is that people (or just Elon) are pumping it at a time when it makes the least sense.

If dogecoin was pumped years ago when altcoins didn't existed as they do now, it would have surprisingly made perfect sense because it offered cheap transactions and a playful currency that is meant for small transactions.

But pumping it now, when there are other tokens that allow cheaper and smaller transactions with faster confirmations and more use cases, makes absolutely no sense.

They picked the worst and least expected time to pump such a dead coin.
