That was unexpected. We know Naoya Inoue has the upper hand in this fight but like everyone else, I was surprised too that this match ended early. I thought the fight will be decided in late round Knock Out or Decision. Lots of punches that Inoue was able to connect crashing Donaire's defense and eventually a fatal punch that send the Filipino Flash into the canvass. I really never expect that Donaire will lose via 2nd Round Knock-Out. Maybe it ended up in Decision, that makes sense.

Should he hang his gloves now? I see no reason why he should continue now. I mean, not just with the age but he will go back again to climb the ladder. That will take 1-2 years again he can take a shot again at a title match. He's now catching the retirement period.

Donaire is showing to much aggressiveness on that match that's why Donaire hit a fatal shot on him in round one and that totally dictate how the game end up because on round two we completely see a massacre where Donaire cannot do anything and cannot fight back on what Inoue throws to him. But even if he lose today still a big respect earned Donaire already set a legendary career on boxing and its better for him to consider retirement at this point.

Wow. The fight happened too fast that I wasn't able to notice Stake's logo and advertisements. I reviewed some of my screenshots and there's a large Stake ad in the center of the ring and the ropes are full of Stakes' print. On Donaire's previous fight he was also wearing a Shiba Inu hat.

Seeing Inoue in this fight, I think he really is a monster as he pretty much dominated Donaire.
Good thing the ref stopped the fight, otherwise, it might hurt Donaire more and he might face some serious injury.

I expect that Inoue will going to win via KO or TKO but I didn’t expect that the match will last to round 2 only. I watch the highlights and see that Donaire is really struggling and gets knocked out in the first round, I already know that he is going to lose via TKO. Inoue is really a strong opponent and we all witnessed it.

Well, the fight has just started and Donaire has been knocked down for about 3 times! I truly didn't expect Inoue would have that kind of speed and solid punches! Perhaps, Donaire isn't in his prime anymore?

Donaire was already way past his prime but the thing that made me shocked was I didn't expect the fight to be finished much earlier and just like you, I didn't expected a fast paced fight between these two because the last time they fought, they both survived 12 rounds of pure toe-to-toe boxing. yeah, sadly no one can really blame anyone other than him and his team for that incident. If Casimero really wants to fight Inoue I am sure he can get enough fights and wins to be considered as a challenger for Inoue. Donaire takes a huge risk and pays the price he chases Inoue the whole first round until he was caught with a big punch and he cannot recover and took a beating in the second round, not a good way to hang up his gloves, I guess he is thinking of getting a few more fights from underrated fighters before hanging up the gloves, but it's really time for him to go he has done a lot being a champion at his age is already a big achievement.
