Eventually the president gave up and announced that they will rather go for Sputnik V/Sinopharm/AstraZeneca.

I doubt that because they will not risk their lives to be vaccinated. That is what people might do when they do not believe in the government and will go to someplace that they will not get pursued by the government to go to the health centre or a place that only them know. They believe that getting vaccinated or not is a choice and they choose not to get vaccinated because they doubt the vaccine can protect their lives.

That is what I most fear. Delta variation is already terrifying enough, but the virus can still get more powerful and we don't know where this is going to end. Vaccines are temporary palliatives, but they don't fully protect the individual or stop new mutations. A proof of this fact are the yearly vaccines for common flu, which don't prevent people from getting sick or the flu itself from existing.
Another thing I think it's an absurd is how the world's countries and WHO in special don't confront China for developing the virus. quite the opposite, there is already an agenda manufacturing the theory that covid19 isn't lab made, didn't come from China and they have nothing to do with this.
