Different initiatives have been taken by different governments around the world to make people vaccinated. Pfizer is tested to be more effective than other vaccines, so people can get vaccinated without any big fear. Already few States of US have done such promotion providing million dollar prize.
It’s like some perks of being vaccinated especially for gamblers who already wants to play in real casino, as well people see when some known companies promotes it it may have its advantages. There are also some countries who only allows tourist provided they finish dose of pfizer vaccine. Those who want to travel already indeed choose to have pfizer than any other brands unfortunately its not yet readily available for every country like in my place wherein the tag line “the best vaccine is the available vaccine” since only few can be dose with pfizer. Hopefully there will be a vaccine that will fully work in all covid variants to avoid covid permanently.

This to me is a weird way of trying to encourage people to take the vaccine is feels like they are coercing the population. I am not against the vaccine at all and I do encourage everyone to have the vaccine but offering something like this just seems wrong. I get that they are trying to increase their vaccination levels and make Poland a safer place with less covid restrictions but I think the incentive of that alone without the usage of the possibility of winning a large amount of money would be enough you know saving lives. I wonder how many other countries will take this approach. So i wont be surprised that citizens would really have doubts and also lottery odds isnt really appealing most of the time and isnt worth the risk.
Those news sources do not link to any credible studies and they are only reporting that there has been a person who happened to have side effects and died. The studies do not show that there is definitely a link there and they are inconclusive. Though I understand what you mean with news spreading worrying titles and articles like this around no wonder people are hesitant about getting the vaccine.

These are some pretty good incentives.
I personally think that these vaccination incentives which involve an element of chance are certainly very effective, from both a marketing perspective by playing on people's psyche and also from a public helath perspective.
Most people, when presented with a surefire $1 reward or a lottery ticket with 0.1% chance of winning $1,000, will take the latter.
And plus, this is great advertisement for the national lottery post-pandemic. Absolutely a great play.

Yup, Pfizer needs to work hard to supply the vaccine to other countries if the other country follows to give a lottery prize to their people. But people in Poland should be glad to see a lottery prize given to the winner and I think that can succeed as what the USA did. It can attract enthusiasm from the people to get vaccinated. Hopefully, it is not because of the political reason behind that lottery prize because the government has much plan that we do not know.

thats a lot of prizes but is there a people that willing to move from poland from this ? that was crazy and i dont think they will allow it and even the prize is attractive , there will be people that will value their health and wont participate because they are afraid of the effects of the vaccine . But unfortunately only 35% of the people in Poland are vaccinated yet. its unfortunate for those who want more people to get vavcinated but it was fortunate for the people that participates in the draw because they got more chance of winning .

So is this lottery conducted by the Pfizer pharmaceutical company or the government promoting the company . Both Pfizer and Moderna have the highest efficacy for any of the COVID vaccines (~95%). I was fortunate enough to receive two doses of the Pfizer vaccine as my country mostly use Pfizer for vaccination here. But my friends and relatives in India has to rely on less efficient vaccines such as Covishield and COvaxin, as the authorities there are not ready to approve any other brand. After months of bargaining, they approved a third vaccine (Sputnik V), but they put a lot of obstacles on administration and so far only a few thousand people have managed to get vaccinated using Sputnik V.

As far as I know there are already many studies showing the positive results from these kind of lotteries. Actually I kind of like the idea. The government only needs to use a certain amount of money to provide such a lottery. The costs are lower then the benefits, because the more people are vaccinated the less some prohibitions have to be introduced.

Doesn't need to do a study to prove that it works, it's our instinct that when we are asked to do something and that we are rewarded for it, that's just human behavior. A lot of businesses that offer something for being vaccinated aren't in it for the altruistic goal, they want to be different from their competition and they want their brands to be known, you might see some of the businesses that offer free things or perks when vaccinated have more customers.

Being a member of the European Union, Poland can use only the vaccines that are approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA). That rules out the Chinese and Russian vaccines. And among the remaining vaccines, Pfizer is the only one that is available in sufficient quantities. The other EMA-approved vaccines (Moderna, Janssen, AstraZeneca.etc) are all struggling with supply issues. Poland has used all these four vaccines for their program, but from what I have heard Pfizer accounts for the vast majority of the total.

Yeah! I heard of it since that was some innovative strategies where people will take advantage of the offer, the rate of people who will want to get vaccinated will drastically increase. I think this is another good opportunity for those who don't have anything at the moment, I mean if you don't have that kind of vaccine Phobia, you can try this one and who knows maybe you are the one who will gonna get the prize. there's no risk in here and you don't even need to give them money to be qualified. all you need to have is a strong immune system to take that vaccine and have your entry for that lottery.

Most government using enticing offers to lure their citizens into doing things and I feel it's a good deplomatic approach even though the vaccine is for the well-being of Poland Citizens the approach could be said to be recommendable but my problem is people would still not get the vaccine despite the offer placed by Poland Government which might still make the environment unsafe for it's dwellers

This is a nice initiative by the government to encourage people to take the shot of covid vaccination as people seem not to take the dosage properly and they are trying to convince them through these lottery methods and with hope to get free funds people will rush to vaccine centres which is exactly Poland government wants. So the prize the vaccination person will get will not be taxed under gains?Right? Because the government might be giving you free funds but will come up with another taxation scheme to take it back.So you don't know.

Here is my opinion regarding about this matter.
People first doesn't want to get vaccinated, because they are afraid of its side effects in the long run, but the Government made a price so they are now willing to be vaccinated. I don't know if it is really safe to get the free vaccine because I don't know which is which who's getting the benefits out of it, I mean, looks like the Government is forcing us to take it.
Here in our country, there are some cases that people who got vaccinated suffered already its side effects which is very alarming, like having a fever, numbing your whole body, having a hard time to breathe, etc.. So for me, I guess it's not worth it to be vaccinated out of your will just to get a free lottery ticket.

Here in our country we have a variations of vaccines that made available for vaccinating people but sad to say we can't make or decide which one would you like to get because what is the only kind of vaccine available on the your city which you are registered citizen that is the only vaccine you can get. I didn't get vaccinated but Pfizer is what I want to get but it seems that I don't have any other choice than to settle for Sinovac instead than not getting vaccinated.

Have to check my local lottery this week together with a casino I went sometime to see if they offer the same thing. I find this lottery thing a good way to make people do the vaccination program because even if the chances are really small, they are still going to consider it.

Usually when an action is triggered by a government we suspect that there's a kind of conspiration behind it. For sure we have the right and the duty of the doubt, but according to the virus behavior, if "attractive" measures are not taken to avoid drastic ones, this pandemic situation will never stop.
So, why not to induce people to be vaccinated? We know that the world cannot be paralyzed for such a long time. Human behavior has been modified not by a vaccine but is being modified by lack of interaction with other humans! And this change may cause bad results in a general way. Risks must be calculated!
Immunization and non-imMunization have already been calculated?
Economy disaster has already been in action!!!

It looks strange and perhaps for some look justifiable but the reality is that it comes out cheaper for governments to do this type of incentives that having sick patients is much more expensive. Above all in countries where public health or primary care is free.
In several countries, matrices have been created not to be vaccinated by long-term effects consequences, but regardless of this people should be vaccinated because they wish and is the best not for an incentive.

Well if every citizen has the right to choose, then the government, as the leading organization responsible for managing the safety of public places, should also be allowed to uphold laws that limit the movement of those people who weren't vaccinated right? Idk why, it's just simple common sense tbh. It's not like the Coronavirus is a myth, being vaccinated to combat it seems like the natural course imo. Ofc, granted that supply is not really enough for the demand, there would naturally be some that wouldn't be vaccinated, but any problems that can be solved with time doesn't really seem to be a problem imo. you are right that the government has the right to enforce the rules on those who are not willing to be vaccinated but if you look at the perception of humanity, they must also give citizens the right to choose whether to be vaccinated or not restricting movement or giving lottery to citizens who are willing to be vaccinated sounds like rights rape imo but back to each other's perceptions and I hope we can all keep ourselves and our families healthy
