This is a fact and the weaker nations are already hit hard by problems like lower income, higher population, and more daily wages workers than a strong nation. They cannot even enforce lockdown because it would kill people indirectly, through starvation.

The challenges in life are too many, I have always told myself that I will have to face even more difficult things like this. As for the current epidemic problem, actually I think it will take a long time for us to be able to control it better.

Just when I felt that the virus is going away, there are new cases and strains being found in different countries and looks like we are in a tangle for a long period.

I agree with almost all the points made in op and I wish everyone had the understanding and sensitivity like him to understand that life is precious and sometimes we complicate simple things for no reason. Money was meant to make our life simpler, not to complicate it even further.

It is an interesting advice mix you are giving, on one side do all those thing that you miss when you think you will be dying soon, and on the other side get vaccinated so can eventually think that it was silly from you to think that way  Anyway, with or without COVID it is always good to be around of the people you love, but I disagree on not spending much: while many have the problem of too much vane spending, I actually have the problem of being to conservative in my spending and that is psychologically bad. Regardless of all the things that may happen to you in this lifetime, your decision over getting vaccinated is all yours and should not be dictated by others. Also, if you really are thinking that way, atleast give chance to other peoples rationale why they are not interested on getting a vaccine. There's millions of illnesses out there that has no vaccine yet nor any aid but a virus that started over a year ago would suddenly have a vaccine after just a year, that sounds like a government's cover up to lower down others panic and worries.

The real problem with vaccines is that the European countries, US, Canada etc. have acquired more vaccines than it is required for their population and are currently hoarding the vaccines and refusing to share with the poorer countries. In fact the colonial powers of the erstwhile era who had looted the colonized countries are acquiring vaccines out of the looted money and are depriving the colonized countries from acquiring vaccines.

When you say "acquired" you mean developed.  The developed nations have developed the vaccines, and of course they're going to distribute them to their own populations first. As for not distributing vaccines to the poorer nations, you're dead wrong.  The richer nations have been delivering vaccines all throughout 2021.  On top of the 81 million doses that have already been distributed, the US has pledged 500 million more, Japan has pledged one billion dollars towards the effort, and other richer developed nations have also pledged support.

Well, because of covid19 many had been struggling in able survive even if it means that not following the minimum health standard protocols against covid19. This the reality of what has been happening around especially in poorer countries. But what can we do? I myself too strugling to survive.

I do understand the situation everyone is going through and sure i can understand the situation of the poor, i am working in a good position but my 9 month salary is still pending even though they released some a few months back and i am not struggling to survive but my plans are shattered because of the pandemic.

Poverty now will becoming a number one issue accross the globe and surely will becoming a major problem that will cause criminal activities. We all know poverty is already listed as top major problems around the world and  this pandemic will add this poverty issue. It has been discussed already here where I read a certain threas regarding the increase the price of basic commodities. This is really a chaos due to poverty that will result and encourage to do criminal activities.

People are not getting work and if you are not having work then you are not earning anything and without earning how you are going to feed yourself unless you live in a country where the government is helping you with food coupons and when you reach a situation like that the crime rate will increase because it is a matter of survival.

Yes I got vaccinated and I am it made a huge difference for me. It wasn't really about myself, because I am still fairly young and corona is deadly for the older generation. But meeting my 90 grandmother wasn't an option before we both got vaccinated. Now we can have family lunches again and don't need to worry about infecting her. If you are close to or live together with people above 65+ years, it should be mandatory to get vaccinated.

Myself too got vaccinated. It doesn't assure you that the virus won't attack you anymore, but it gives the resistance to fight against covid-19. In simple the serious attack causing immediate death will be overcome through the medication. Earlier people won't get time for medication. Even before that people used to die. As in the post it is always good to get vaccinated. Particularly for the older generation, because thinking after something has happened is really painful.

Yeah actually you got some point because everything that is too much is not really good. Yet, being with family with time is different and one can only realize when there no much time left giving time for the family.

Balance for everything is one really strategic to enjoy more time on family and other priorities together with good time management. Yet, the OP was only reminding about the time for love one especially for those hard working individuals not getting enough time for the family. So that in the future regrets would be less likely to happen if will then probably it will be minimal.

Vaccines provide an increase in our body's defenses, where when we have been vaccinated and we are exposed to a virus, our immune system immediately identifies it so that the virus can be defeated immediately and does not continue to attack our internal organs.

Obviously no one can force you to take the vaccine (unless you are living in a dictatorship such as North Korea). But at this point, it should be remembered that all the available vaccines have completed the phase III trials. The results from these clinical trials are available with reputed medical journals such as The Lancet. Each of these trials involved anywhere from 50,000 to 200,000 people. On top of that, more than 3 billion doses of the vaccine has been administered till now, and this goes way beyond any "Beta testing" phase.

As for Vaccines, I fully support that people get vaccinated early to prevent disease, you may think it's a problem, but it's better if you don't get vaccinated and get infected.
But if you can protect yourself against outside agents, you will be more proactive.

Maybe you are over-frightening with this problem, I think it is necessary to choose which one is better.

We really don't know what will be there for us after being vaccinated, maybe it's true that it will lessen
the chance of getting infected but the long term side effects is yet to discover.

thats only a murmur and that was not confirmed if that is true .
they could be doing that to scare people and for the business for the people to avoid other vaccine brands .

I wonder if you could tell me how animals like bees, ants, termites, lizards, birds, etc are able to feed themselves constantly without relying on you and I.  The simple Truth is that before this Earth was created, everything has been provided for us by the CREATOR. When you see birds feeding on grains on the floor, it wasn't Just a coincidence, the foods was destined to be on that spot for them by our CREATOR even before HE created the World. So the CREATOR has already made provision for HIS CREATURES ...but those who are living according to HIS purpose will not lack because they are always blessed. Same as human beings. There are foods everywhere , if you ask the CREATOR to help, HE will most likely open your eyes to see the foods. Moreover, if you live in Natural environment rather than the Artificial ones ,you will find good foods cheaply or for free.


In regards to the vaccine part, I hope policy makers remember that certain people can be naturally immune to the disease. I expect that to be part of their criteria for determining who needs the vaccines and who doesn't.

OP, I agree with most of your points and I also support getting vaccinated--but is this the right section for this thread?  I'm not seeing how it has to do with economics, though the pandemic has certainly had some crazy effects on the global economy.

Yeah, and while this particular virus might be novel, vaccine technology is not.  I don't think there's anything in any of the  COVID-19 vaccines that's going to harm the recipients to the extent that it outweighs the benefits to the population.  But of course, it should be everyone's choice whether they get vaccinated or not.  I don't think any government or private institution should force people to get it if they don't want it.

How gullible can people become, when they are desperate. They seem to think that they can trust pharmaceutical companies that violated people's rights on several different occasions. Take Ivermectin as an example... many people has taken this drug during their Covid infection and they survived... (a drug that has been approved for human consumption ...many years ago)

This has been silently brushed to the side, because big Pharmaceutical companies spend Billions on research to develop a vaccine that are promoted by governments to "protect" against the virus.

Those who are able to get vaccinated must do so, because there are certain group of people who can't get the vaccine (due to medical conditions). If they catch the infection, then it can lead to hospitalization and even death. And as per estimates, herd immunity can be achieved only if 75% of the population gets fully vaccinated against COVID. If certain sections are staying away as a result of propaganda, then it will be hard for the authorities to achieve this figure. And in the end, the groups which are having medical conditions will be the worst affected.

I would also add that sometimes we hide our emotions towards our parents. I am sure most of the people reading this love their father but how many of us have actually expressed it to him? I am sure very few of us. While they are alive, I wish they live forever, please thank them and show appreciation and the emotions you had for them for years.

Of course, everyone please get vaccinated at the earliest and anyone spreading rumors please think twice because such actions can't be forgiven at all. You don't want to be the reason for someone's death, surely!
