Another quarter-final match is currently underway, and 9z have managed to win the first map against FURİA. The first map was Dust2, chosen by 9z, and they won 13–8. As a team, 9z played better, and apart from HUASOPEEK, the team were really good. Apart from yuurih, no one on FURİA played well on the first map. The map currently being played is Mirage, chosen by FURİA, and FURİA are currently leading.
Things looked worrying for FURIA when they couldn't string consecutive rounds in the T side of Mirage, and some of the rounds they won came down to seconds.
With the way FURIA struggled in the first half of the series, it started to feel like a 2-0 for 9z, but they eventually woke up and completed the reverse.
An absolute cinema for the qualifying round the China region with Vici Gaming and Yakult's Brothers. It should have been a YB's qualification and they only have to end the game but they just can't. That's the real defense in there done by VG and patience that's been seen on them. 93 minutes of the game and that's too long and exhausting. Mistakes after mistakes done by YB and that ended them with a gg push and this happened in the lower bracket for their other 1 slot. While the upper bracket in the China region made Team Resilience to qualify and they also beaten YB. It sucks for YB to get beaten twice on very important qualifying matches.
I only caught that last game and I agree it was an absolute treat to watch until the late game. VG's sniper keeps getting caught in crucial situations, but YB couldn't get the megas in time, and the big gold lead they had slowly lost its value. The Tiny was also shredding with the divine rapier during the high ground defense for their last barracks, and that's where it started to go downhill for YB.
