A lot of developers who churned out shit altcoins does so to make quick money many of them are pump and dump recall the huge number of altcoins that once thrived when bitcoin hits ATH in 2017 are now worthless probably because of abandonment or lack of development and inability to follow their roadmap by their developers of course they must have earned huge profits before or after their ICOs thus not interested in the project again, with the exception of few altcoins that are well managed by their developers and thriving well in the market, this is also as a result of non regulations of crypto market where every Tom, Dick and Harry just clone a major altcoin and enters the market in a bid to collect investors funds and disappear into thin air without any trace, it so disappointing seeing a lots of altcoins that does not merit to be in the market being manipulated by few whales in a bid to deceive some unsuspecting investors to buy those coins and later dump it.

We can't do anything with altcoins, there is no ban on creating new coins/tokens. Good projects will attract users and will survive. The garbage project will of course soon market layoffs. Anyway, the crypto market is flooded with scam projects, low quality projects,... and has no limits. Your job is to find high quality projects. It's not that simple!

Those coins that were created during hype or bull run are the real "shit" coins. They are made just to scam people. More like to pump and then dump. Don't invest in those altcoins. The crypto currency market is a free market. So you really can't stop them no matter how hard you try. The best you can do is just avoid them.
