I just went trough your post history, and yes, it's perfectly possible nobody gave you a merit for those posts... I mean, you're not giving new information, no posts that required extra effort,... in most of your posts you're just agreeing with others, or you're bringing points that have been discussed dozens of times already.
I didn't review OP's post history, but I'll take your word for it that his posts are generic ones just based on what he wrote here. OP, if you ever want to earn merits, your posts have to stand out from the rest of the garbage posts that permeate a lot of threads, especially in sections like Bitcoin Discussion and the like. If you're writing in the English section and your grasp of the language isn't great, don't expect any of your posts to earn merits unless you've contributed something very interesting or helpful.
As to the question OP asked, I'd also advise reading the info members have provided about activity and ranking up. It's not a mystery, though it can be confusing if you haven't read through the details of how you go from Newbie to Jr. Member, and what it takes to then reach Member and the higher ranks.
And all of his 32 posts are made in Meta. Nice try "Newbie"!
Yeah, that's a red flag that he's trying way too hard to earn merits. Meta would be the place to get them, but only if you know how to write--and I don't think OP is up to par as far as that's concerned.
