No, I'm sure not everyone in crypto will trust Elon Musk like before. After Elon Musk announced that Tesla would no longer accept bitcoin as a mean of payment due to bitcoin mining being unfriendly to the environment, many people realized that Elon Musk's endorsement of bitcoin was just a business game. People were disappointed that the price of the bitcoin and altcoin he was promoting went down as a result of the announcement and therefore his fan base decreased and he started having a hard time influencing the market.

As a trader, I think people really should have their own way of analyzing which asset they want to trade. They should not rely on other people trying to play the market to the strength of their money because it will never be good in the end. I have seen so much disappointment among traders who previously trusted Elon Musk so much even though now it seems they are starting to realize his mistake.

Elon Musk knows more than the "average" person about Payment systems, because he founded an online financial services company, called X.com.... which later became the global payment company called PayPal. So he can give good advice and also criticism about Bitcoin as a payment (currency) option.

He also has several "Green" solutions to make Bitcoin more environmental friendly and sustainable... which was been a talking point for years. (Most FUD creators jump on the "Bitcoin is bad for the environment" bandwagon and also mainstream media that are shills for the Fiat masters)

He's very much cautious with his status in the world and in the crypto community. That's why he's been making tweets not only for bitcoin but also for dogecoin and he finds it overwhelming whenever he does that, there's always the significant feedback. And being not a hypocrite as we all support bitcoin, there will be times that you just want to be where you are and stay there and won't mind what's happening with the crowd and whatever these influential people say.

we all have to buy bitcoin, we all have to use bitcoin as a payment method, we all have to spread bitcoin in our cities to friends and family, we can't just hodl and trade, we have to use bitcoin as a payment method, we have to fight against governments to get them to pass good bitcoin laws so that banks don't forbid people from buying bitcoin, we all have to be aware that bitcoin has a disadvantage in this issue of mining vs electricity and we have to accept that disadvantage

literally what i was going to say, people try to make profits out of the hype that can be made by him, which can be obviously seen in the past few months, but we can clearly agree that he affected the market a lot, that can't be denied but to say that people believe in him that's not true.

Elon Musk also invested in bitcoin, he can do whatever he wanted to possibly manipulate bitcoin market just by using his funds to attract more people to ride on his tricks. Indeed, we supported bitcoin but we can't prevent people with weaker mindset to stop ranting just because of those aggressive words that came from Elon's twitter or whatever conference talks.
 
The best strategy to have in mind, don't ever take a serious connection from this guy, do all the research on your own and never let FUD ruin your plans.

Indeed a good point and I see it the same way you put it. He threw out some numbers about dirty mining, well, then go and try to fact check it before dumping your Bitcoin.

What Elon says is indeed worth thinking about. I mean sure he behaved a bit childish when it comes to DOGE if you ask me, but generally speaking he brings up some good points. He also did during the discussion board they now had online on July 21st.

The only problem I had with his turnaround on Bitcoin is that it felt as if he got pressure from some organization he might be funded by. Some green organization that is against Bitcoin or so. As it is almost impossible to tell what the true value is, it seems that a lot of the energy put into Bitcoin mining already comes from renewable sources. You would think that if someone knows, Musk is probably your best bet. If he then goes back and forth, it makes it a bit hard to come up with your own reasonable conclusions.

Anyway, as you put it, after all he is like you and me with $180 billion more in the pocket. The actual problem is the dualism you pointed out. When he says something good, people positively freak out and celebrate him, and when he says something negative, you can read on Twitter that people hope he is going to crash with a Tesla. Too much in both directions obviously...

Actually i believe that so very few that truly believe in musk instead they are just living with the effect of manipulation coming from Musk and His friends in which really affecting the market.

Yes it is true, even now many investors and some of his followers are disappointed or don't believe in Elon Musk anymore, because all this time they realized that Elon Musk is not a true cryptocurrency investment, he is just a very greedy person and has no conscience, who seeks wealth through other people's suffering, and now I think Elon Musk's credibility has faded because a lot of people don't believe in him anymore.

The talk goes on for weeks as if Elon Musk was a god or something like that. Do you believe in Elon Musk? What the heck should I believe in when it comes to Elon Musk? Is he the holy Bitcoin Jesus? He is just one of many with billions and billions. He can have a bit of positive or negative influence, but it is not like Bitcoin depends upon him. Actually, it is not at all like that. He could significantly contribute to Bitcoin being mined with solar energy, but if he doesn't, others will!

people trust Elon Musk because they are still new and don't know the real crypto strategy. if someone already knew the real crypto strategy they wouldn't trust Elon Musk. they have more faith in their own analysis than with someone just spreading temporary hype
