Though similar too that. For me, ethereum, binance coin and bitcoin is somewhat good for long term investment however, you need to be very careful on it. These coins are good and I recommend you to buy for long term and short term investments because I believe if you buy these coins you will definitely be  having great profit for the next year. Why bother buying Dot or Cake when everything depends on the king -BTC.

In addition to BTC investment for some more diversity ETH is another 'can't go wrong' choice since the London Mainnet is coming up next week (between 3-5 Aug). Having other alts can be beneficial but because there are so many alts out there it is difficult to choose coins that can do better than either BTC/ETH which is why the former options are more robust, and reliable.

If I have a long-term choice, I will choose Dot because it fits the ideal of cross chain by expanding according to current demand. while Cake is the leading decentralized exchange only on BSC.

On one hand I will agree with you to an extent, and on the other hand I won't agree with you. About the agreement part, CAKE is good because of its unique staking features which holders are already benefiting hugely from it, although it depends on the amount of CAKE but however, holders are still making some sort of passive income. SOL also is another good coin, I have noticed that the recovery of SOL from a bad market is always fast this I think can be attributed to the good nature of the platform.
About the disagreement part, I think I find it wise not telling people how much to invest in a coin, that is, you can suggest a good coin but let the investing amount be left to them such that they can make better decisions.

If you want to invest for long term then you should stick to your plans, not when you see a situation like this you will sell because you are scared to lose your money and profits.. No not like that bro because that's a big mistake.. Focus to your goal instead, which never ever follow your emotions when something bad happen in the market . According to the chart, seems cake and dot could bring some profit for short term trade in current condition... while sol is pure pump and dump shitcoin.

i think OP called some major coins in market now and all of them have good developtment. Holding altcoin also give us an opportunity to gain profits. Solana was not pump and dump coins, they build good platform to growth their ecosystem, in future when ecosystem growing wee i am confidence you will be regret not buying coins.

I understand that the market isn't in the best state right now, but I believe in no time we would see bitcoin flying high again, for long term investment suggestion I think bitcoin has proven to be worth every penny, so my long term investment suggestion will be Bitcoin , Ethereum, Bnb and most especially Near Protocol, that's my biggest bag right now and I have big hopes that it will be among the top 10 some day, not a financial advice though  .

If I personally prefer to invest in Ethereum and Binance, because of the ranking from Ethereum and Binance are in the top 5 on coinmarketcap and of course Ethereum and Binance have a high market cap, so it proves that Ethereum and Binance are more popular and many investors support Ethereum and Binance, so that's why I prefer to invest in Ethereum and Binance, because of course the price of Ethereum and Binance will definitely continue to increase and give me a big profit in the future.

how about bitcoin? i suppose it is like the default choice of most crypto users for long term investments. though i do agree, eth and bnb are also very good to include in your portfolio. both have very good foundation and their development is rock solid. there are other good platforms but if you are looking for long term better stick at the top.
hard to suggest other projects, because the truth is, people should do their own analysis on what projects to buy. so whatever happens, it is their own choosing.

Only buy those with highest last peak, there's a higher possibilities that it would go with bitcoin's rising trend one day when it commence for another ATH. Meanwhile, we should consider some factors that correlates to long term investments which most traders struggles to grow their coins right now. One example of that is altcoins that suffered a lot during bitcoin price downturn.

Lol what? Don't you see bitcoin was doing U-turn since last week? How do you know if that will give us big margin profit? those tokens have become major tokens. they are not worth lots of money.

I'm not much a follower of altcoin but there's no reason for the cryptocurrency market to fall in price because of only the Cake, Dot issue because they are the least of the fud happening these days.
With that been said, accumulating altcoin now with good knowledge about cryptocurrency investment is not good because we're talking about a highly manipulated market and the best to make decisions about long term is after a new bottom price is achieved.

Honestly I'm not really interested in the coin the OP mentioned, obviously it can't make me sleep especially with the current market condition. To invest long term, I trust bitcoin and ETH more, these two coin always give a very extraordinary surprise after waking up from sleep.
