There are more competitors to Ethereum: Binance Smart Chain (still does not have their own blockchain), Polkadot, etc. They will contribute to the cryptocurrency ecosystem and challenge the leading position of Ethereum in altcoins. I am doubtful that they can beat Ethereum but their appearance and challenge to ETH is good.

It won't die but it might lose the leading position among altcoins. If Vitalik leaves the project and Ethereum community can not find any big brain to replace him. I do not think either of two will happen. Ethereum will be fine.

There are many altcoins that will disappear but ETH is here to stay. It has the brightest minds working behind it and after eth 2.0 is ready it probably render most of the competition irrelevant. Of course there are projects that aren't competiting with eth at all and i am constantly looking at those.

Well, what u think is that, as long as crypto continue to exist(which I know will), Ethereum will also continue to exist as it has made a good name for it self, though what I can't say for sure is whether it will continue to remain in the second largest crypto coin by market capitalization, I feel that at some point, another coin will probably take that second largest position but this does not mean ether is dead, I think it will continue to exist and even if it's going to die at some point due to far more advanced technologies taking its place, this will probably take a very very very long time.

Ethereum's potential to last forever is impossible in my view, there will be many more to be perfected in the future, basically they also want to occupy the second cryptocurrency, is it possible that Ethereum can maintain its position forever.

We can see this possibility from the number of coins that appear on the market, in general their competition is more stringent and open, which will later come out as the number two cryptocurrency are those who have won the trust of the public, both in quality and quantity.

It depends upon how successfully they are going to migrate to the new algorithm, now there are other forks or copied out of the same code that can do the same job as ETH like BSC and it is gaining popularity and if there is any messing up with the migration then we will remember these as a novel idea that messed up big time. Time will tell what will happen in the future.

It is hardly possible to say now that any cryptocurrency is eternal. Nobody knows what will happen to cryptocurrency in ten or twenty years. Now we can say which types of cryptocurrencies are promising for growth and development. Of course, first of all, it is ethereum, which has the most developed platform and network of smart contracts. After the completion of the current update, its popularity and demand will increase several times. It is predicted that according to some characteristics, ethereum may well surpass Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is the root of everything related to crypto/Blockchain tech. It paved the way for other projects to gain traction in the mainstream world. The same can be said about Ethereum in the area of smart contracts and "De-Fi". With how successful the world's second-largest cryptocurrency became, it looks like it'll last a lifetime. The community is alive and vibrant as ever with new projects joining the ETH ecosystem. Without the original smart contract platform, Binance Chain and other alternatives wouldn't had existed today.

There is nothing that last forever, every thing nor every one will disappear one day. Etherium is one of what a man develops and eventually gonna die in the future, for now we all have use it in different ways, earning it, making profits from it, develops another contract through to it but it does not mean it will lasts forever.

As long as crypto market is here, ETH will not die and yes there's a chance for its competitor to replace ETH but for sure, ETH knows what to do to address this and I'm confident that they are already working hard with the update so they can give a good service again with a lot more faster and a cheaper transactions. Many projects already came in the market and they are claiming as an ETH kill and yet, ETH is still standing strong in the market. Nothing last forever so Ethereum can't last forever same as bitcoin. A day will come when they'll all become absolute but that's not happening anytime soon so we're to enjoy the now and worry less about what the future holds. Can Bitcoin die, if you can answer that question then you'll get the same answer for ethereum. Ethereum has been steadily building form the very beginning of its introduction to the industry. Ethereum ever since it was developed has been the backbone of the industry introducing new trends simultaneously and brining in developers and investors into the industry.

Without Ethereum majority of success of the industry won't have been achieved, there would had not been smart contract etc although majority of the technology been developed on the blockchain aren't really necessary and just a distraction still it's quite astonishing all the industry has been able to achieve all thanks to the Ethereum blockchain.

In regards the ranking, well it's just a matter of time before Ethereum and probably Bitcoin gets dethroned but that doesn't mean the coins leading would be the best out there. If you look at the projects most of them migrated to other chains which means that BSC and the rest of the chains like HOO will be relevant even if Ethereum resolves their issues and you need to understand all the projects that took the ETH chain was struggling because of higher transaction fees for over an year and you cannot expect everyone to stick to that and i wont be surprised if those valuation rises again.

In my humble opinion i would say that Ethereum will be here "forever" and with forever i mean of course as long as cryptos exist and i also think that it will stay the number 2 cryptocurrency for a long time. I would even say that the odds of becoming number 1 in terms of marketcap are higher than the odds of becoming number 10. In the end Ethereum offers just the greatest variety of functionality and most projects are built upon ethereum or on some layer 2 solutions that are running on ethereum. In the end the binance smart chain is also not more than a blatant copy of Ethereum with some tweaks to it. If Ethereum manages to keep the transaction fees at an acceptable level then i see no coin that could push ETH away from the second place.

I guess no because there are strong competitors that will challenge Ethereum especially its very terrifying gas fee. Now it is undesirable to use. Actually I don't buy the tokens that I know erc20 because of gas fee. I always try to invest in bsc projects even just a small penny of investment.

Don't you think that ETH today looks like an outdated blockchain? it is obvious that the pioneer effect with its blockchain functions will pass in less than a year (in my opinion). The ever-increasing, unjustifiably high price of gas, slow transactions and not as great scalability as many other projects with related functions, for example, Near protocol. A project with a much greater technological potential than the outdated ETH. 10,000 times less commission for any transactions of the near blockchain sooner or later squeeze out this bloated coin, which feeds everyone with promises about ETH2.0. I can't guarantee Ethereum will last forever, but for the next 2 or 3 years they will remain at the number two position, so far there is no capacity for another coin to replace it.
