I think the key point here is not be stubborn with any investment, that is to say allow your emotions to make your trades. If bitcoin does drop, one should keep the funds ready at hand to buy at the low because otherwise this becomes a missed opportunity.

Well, if only we knew that bitcoin could increase that much from 2017 then probably we all hold our btc and never sell during minor pump, but unfortunately its not the case.

Bitcoin is a good investment for long term and thats already proven, but it takes a lot of patience. Thats why investing a spare money that is not meant for important things and you can live without is advisable so you wont get tempted to sell because you already need that money. Buy and hold then have plan on when to sell.

Hodling bitcoin for now might give an advantage rather than buying bitcoin with the present expensive price. It's best to stmart buying bitcoin when the price  was still cheap but with the current price, its more likely you are gambling your capital.

I think there's no wrong if you really want to invest in bitcoin today but think of it a hundred times. And the fact that your predicting a $100k within this year, it might possibly happen but not too fast. Bitcoin is very bullish this time but i'm really doubtful if it will hit that certain amount. You target a very high price, $100k doesn't mean bitcoin can't reach that price, but this certainly takes longer than you think, especially this year bitcoin has reached a new ATH, because after ATH usually the bitcoin price will be corrected temporarily time, and if we look at the on-chain structure, recovery isn't going to happen anytime soon.

for the target of $100k for this year I don't think there is a guarantee, but if bitcoin forms a new ath above $64k I think it might happen, because currently the price of bitcoin is approaching it and we know that at the end of the year the market usually spikes

These type of predictions are difficult to say. Currently the price is having resistance towards the 50k USD mark. I am sure it will cross but then 60k USD or before that will face resistance. Therefore being able to see the first sights of 65k+ USD this year might not be possible.

Totally agree, long-term is a much better investment because you just need to invest in an established investment and wait for it to go up gradually and when it comes to bitcoin, the longest the wait, the bigger the profit is. @Victorycoin is right, doing an extensive research on what you want to invest in is the best thing to do.
