https://www.reuters.com/lifestyle/sports/spains-la-liga-agrees-sell-10-stake-cvc-nyt-2021-08-04/

La Liga has received a great investment  in the range of 3.2 Billion for a 10% of the "ownership". The clubs are to get most of this new capital and they are free to invest, but with the limit of 15% in players. the rest has to be for infrastructure and other improvements. This should help Barca keep Messi, but what other players are going to be under offer in the future? Should the other clubs in Europe be concerned? And, how does this change the odds for the European championships?

Even though this is happening now, Barca are no longer able to defend Messi and like it or not, Messi has to leave the club he has defended since he was 13 years old.
and speaking of barca, it is indeed very difficult to defend from the start, they have made a mistake because of course they understand that if they want to sign a player like mesi they have to be willing to let go of a high-paid player in order to balance the team's finances. But what Barca did was wrong instead of releasing some players they added new players like Aguero and Depay which made the wage bill skyrocket.
Although La Liga has received a large investment and they are willing to take a 50% pay cut in the end, they must be willing to leave Barca so as not to cause bigger financial problems.

I got confused a bit reading you refer to Messi as "they". Anyway, despite the investment La Liga got, it's appears not to be enough to help Barcelona keep Messi and that's a huge loss not just to Barcelona but to the league. Because I know plenty of people they were barca fans or watch la liga games solely because Messi was there. Now he isn't, it's a downside for the competition.

Should the other clubs in Europe be concerned? And, how does this change the odds for the European championships?

There isn't much to be concerned about for now since we're yet to see anything come off the investment yet.

Apparently due to restrictions on the crowd there have been probelms with the revenue, I think it's mostly due to COVID-19 now and therefore we will still need few years to get through it. At the end of the day, this was done so that they can find alternative sources to make sure things are done right in a certain way.
1. They are also assuming that it would help with Messi's contract.
(Which I do not feel would happen)
2. Alternative revenue source might work for sure but the percentage might have to change according to the situations.
You cannot follow strict equations during the pandemic.

@paxmao I salute, there is always a topic to discuss in gambling.

Honestly about the La Liga big investment thread, I can't comment much for now, because yesterday I saw Madrid and Barcelona vehemently oppose this investment, in the deal of around 2.7 billion euros, there are still pros and cons in this matter, there are various options arising at this time for investors the general reason is post-pandemic, So there is no real certainty about the changes that will occur in the European Championships in the future. Another reason is that there are some unanswered questions, Barcelona's response could be detrimental on their part especially the club.

So, further review or development is needed in this investment issue related to CVC.

Another reason is that there are some unanswered questions, Barcelona's response could be detrimental on their part especially the club.

So, further review or development is needed in this investment issue related to CVC.
the reason barca refused this was because Barca considered the operation that had been announced had not been sufficiently discussed with the club (TV broadcasting rights owner). The amount does not match the duration of the year and the agreement affects a share of the audiovisual rights of all clubs for the next 50 years.
In addition, Real Madrid said that they were not informed about the investment agreement at all, even though they said that some of the agreements also violated the law.
and they say on the club's official website that negotiations are conducted in a non-competitive manner, CVC will also get a refund of 20 percent per year. This method has previously been tried in Italy and Germany, but failed
and this is the reason why both teams rejected the investment and considered it to be non-transparent.
but on the other hand the Executive Committee of the Spanish football league, which includes the bosses of Atletico Madrid and Sevilla, has approved a deal between La Liga and CVC.
La Liga currently seems to be under pressure, not only reaping the pros and cons of the CVC investment plan, they are also expected to relax the rules on player salaries and club expenses, the latter of which forced Lionel Messi to cancel his additional tenure at Camp Nou.

It seems that Barca was not able to defend Messi after all, or perhaps it no longer made sense to do so. I think that at least they are keeping a good war chest, but, as I understand the situation, they are not going to be able to solve their strategy for this year. I think that the problem should not extend further. Madrid however is less dependant on an specific player, not that Ronaldo was not excellent.. it is that he was mostly excellent at selling t-shirts.
