Blind and elderly people have difficulties in doing many things, dealing with bitcoin is the smallest of the problems they face in their daily life. These people have the support of caregivers for all their needs, what I believe may include dealing with bitcoin if someday it becomes a necessity.
~
let alone people with special needs and the elderly, even ordinary people definitely need time to use crypto. for most people, using crypto is quite difficult because there are many things to learn, from basic knowledge of crypto, how to exchange money from fiat to crypto, withdrawals to making fiat again, this is quite complicated and takes time to learn.
Yes, it can be really difficult to adopt bitcoin, especially for someone who is already used to deal with fiat every day during so many years. It's like that saying: old habits die hard.

so no matter how effective crypto is in facing the challenges of financial problems in the modern era, we still need paper money, instant payments, for ordinary people, yes ... so fiat and crypto will complement each other, not replace each other.
But I think paper money is already overcame, because debit and credit cards fully replace its function, without the risk for the person of being infected by virus through paper which goes in everyone's hands. As technology evolves some things need to be replaced, since they aren't useful anymore in the same way they used to be.

If you are blind, do you want someone to set up your private key for you? Do you need to find someone to pay for you? If no one in life can be trusted and you have a lot of encrypted assets in your hands, then this will become a burden in life.

This is really not the focus of Bitcoin, and has nothing to do with the problem Bitcoin is trying to solve. Bitcoin is the original technical solution to the currency problem, not really designed for the end user. At the risk of sounding ruthless, this is a user's defect, not a product defect.

OK.. the OP here mentions blind people and children. Blind people do use mobile phone, although they need screen reader or some other software to be able to do that. In the android phones, there is a built in screen reader, known as TalkBack. And with the entry of the artificial intelligence–powered Google Assistant, it has become really easy for the blind people to use smartphones. All it takes is a few weeks of training, to get used to it. And for the children, if they are old enough to use fiat currency (banknotes, coins.etc), then I believe that they are old enough to use smartphone (at least a simplified version) as well.

I agree, replacing paper money is not easy, especially since each country has its own money, but as an alternative means of payment, I think it is a big achievement for bitcoin. and if that happens, current investors may later feel financial freedom because of course there will be more widespread adoption

Well, I agree with everything you say. Just think, the world still thinks of a small child's bitcoin. Just think, if I give a child a piece of paper and say, these are the private keys to my wallet. That kid will throw away the paper and he will be happy if I give him money and bitcoin can be considered as an asset like any other asset. But it will take time.

There will be certain adjustments made in future taking such people into consideration, or they will be prioritised and given a chance to understand about the technology, but we know that not many blind people have a huge bank balance, should they be worried about. When they can't see the colors, the visions that we, normal people can see, do you think they are worried about money at all?  Undecided
We don't think that blind people need Bitcoins ATM, they need care from people who can help them out fight with their disability and become a hero of their life. And even if some trust or foundation where those blinds are being kept, helps them understand the wallet system anyhow through smartphones (as nothing is impossible), then those trusts/foundations can have the seeds/mnemonic phrases of all of those users as they will be the authority to safeguard blind people's accounts.

Regardless of what is debated about bitcoin management for disabled people, children and the elderly, we can't avoid the fact that even healthy and young people are still blind from the knowledge of managing assets properly. The cases of hacking and losing bitcoins experienced by normal people are still more popular than blind people.

We know that not everyone can accept and take advantage of btc for example as said. If we look at digital money broadly, it does have good benefits and developments, but fiat money can be more acceptable to ordinary people. I mean crypto can't be used by just anyone, only people who really know and understand about the crypto world can use it. All of that has its own portion, we can't give what's not to people, so focus on our self to contribute to this crypto world and make a profit in it.

Very true. Even most of us here at some point experienced losing money to projects, considering that we are already here in crypto market. We can't say we haven't done our homework but we did. Unfortunately, we have no idea when a project will rug pull and disappear along with the funds. I think, when it comes to other users like blind people, I believe they can wait when the technology is already available for them. For others who are really interested, they will find a way how to make it work. If there's a will, there's a way.

In conclusion, cryptocurrency is still far away from all people, but some people can benefit from it and still use it to prepare themselves for their future. But crypto will grow more than now, and there will be a way for blinded people or disabled people to use bitcoin and make it easier for them. Who knows, in the future, will invent a program that can help them feel and use bitcoin or a new project that can help them participate in the crypto world. I am sure that with technology, people will get help for their life and.

at this time we can say that bitcoin is the biggest business in this century its popularity is able to match several businesses owned by famous people, so there are lots of bitcoin enthusiasts who want to invest in the crypto world, with the level of popularity that bitcoin has at this time will have a very good impact for investors who will start investing in the crypto world, especially for beginners
Bitcoin does give a lot of hype right now. Investing in bitcoin from the start will probably give you a lot of benefits so far. Just imagine how many percent increase in bitcoin at the beginning of its appearance until now.
But some beginners should also realize that investing in bitcoin is not without risk, the risk will still exist. High volatility makes the risk even higher. beginners should think about it, don't just imagine the benefits that will be obtained.

Well that is just now the problem of those people themselves that they have still control at.
Disabled people do not have the control to their disability and they would need to just adapt to their current condition. I would say those who get easily get their coins stolen are simply the uninformed people, because in general nobody wants their money stolen anyway.

its only growing in popularity and it didnt say that it will replace the fiat currency that we have and i dont think they will ever replace it because of that reason you explained above .
some think that it improve lives but doing it can infact make the lives complicated of others not unless if someone can provide a solution but that could cost money , time and effort .

I really don't think that the elderly will really need to worry about using bitcoin and or other cryptocurrencies for some time.  Bitcoin and or other cryptocurrencies are not going to take over fiat money anytime soon, regardless of how many of us want them to.  By the time younger people now get older, I think they will know how to use technology such as bitcoin.  As for blind people, they will find a way, and likely already have a way.

I think it will sure be difficult for them, but i guess if bitcoin is really adopted massively and being used as daily currency, people will think how it can be modified to suit blind people. Like for example, before blind people have it difficult, but there will always be innovation made so it will be easier for them, that's the same with bitcoin i guess, many bitcoin users might think what to do to help them, maybe programming some app to help them, make a voice-based app so it'll be easier for them to use since they can't see and others. While for eldery people, it might be hard to teach them, since most of them don't want to learn anymore. However we can slowly teach them, giving tutorials, simple explanation and such, if they really want to, they will be able to. People around them should be willing to help as well.

With the increasing popularity of Bitcoin, what do you think will happen to blind and childless elderly people?
I did some search about what you said and there was a time when some group worked on getting Bitcoin's original white paper written in Braille for blind people and there's also a time when an icywallet was developed. The wallet was said to make Bitcoin accessible to the elder and blind Bitcoin enthusiast but the project seems died now.
I think crypto Dev need to pay more attention in creating a speech to text wallet that will make the elders and blind people use crypto.

Maybe that is one reason why modern and traditional payment can't replace each other. Because people itself is different, not only depends on age but not all people maybe can access mobile phone or anything like that so they still can do payment with fiat. I think it is no matter it is digital or traditional payment, but currency still currency. People use it as payment and they can buy something with it no matter who are them.

Correct, if a technology like Bitcoin becomes the new standard and people would have reason to participate in it but can't, that's also kind of exclusive, which Bitcoin is not supposed to be. I don't know though how critical the situation is when it comes to mobile phone distribution. I guess most people have access to mobile phones? I have no idea about those statistics but that might be one of the smaller problems to solve.
