Cardano is already the top 5 altcoins in coinmarketcap market cap. the existence of smart contracts can certainly make the competition hotter for ETH and BNB who have done it first, but not with bitcoin which will never be replaced at the top of crypto.
I personally can't wait to see the first project using Cardano smart contracts.

This is part of the reason for the acceleration of ADA in recent times, and now we will see they have started to be more active in the ecosystem. Perhaps we will soon see more Cardano based projects again, and right now the signs of the market are also very positive.

This news has already been discounted by the market as we see about 10% increase in its price and now it has already hit $2. Cardano Team is continousaly working to develop its network to be a tough competitor of ethereum Network where you will be able to create from smart contracts, DEFIs and many many mores. It is just a mqatter of time when Cardano will become a real rival of Ethereum. i think transactions on cardano network will be much cheaper than ethereum network that would make it attractive for Day traders.

ADA Cardano is an outstanding project no need doubting it, but the team needs to offer something more attractive in order to get more users, that is, I hardly see people talking about what they use ADA coin for or maybe I have not been paying more attention, but the usability of ADA can't be compared with that of Ethereum and Binance, let alone Bitcoin.
However, if they implement a smart contracts, that would be a good strategy and feature, but you can't compare it to Ethereum, remember Ethereum is more or less the king of smart contracts, which the team have perfected over the years, so it will be a hard one being Ethereum rival. As for Bitcoin, the answer is clear, no altcoin can be compared to it. And lastly, if ADA team gets everything right with their forthcoming upgrade, maybe they can rival Binance, although I find it hard to actualize as well.

Absolutely, Even without there smart contract, Cardano valuation is already can rival top blockchain project and create too much hype by just posting updates and future plans so what's more if they finally manage to launch there very own smart contract. I think many start-up project will build on there blockchain and also tons of existing dapps will gonna attempt to migrate there to benefits on the hype of Cardano. I hope that they can manage a solid security to there code since smart contract are prone to attacks by scammer.

If Cardano (ADA) gives birth to smart contracts and if that happens, then Cardano (ADA) will be the concern of many parties, especially companies when they want to launch a project.
The first to be noticed with Cardano are fees and transaction speed.

Is this the reason for the latest bump? Frankly, I tend to believe that Cardano has become a model closer to shitblockchains than a currency with a plan and a future, as they are looking for what the market wants and adding it to the protocol.
Many investors may see it as an opportunity to make profit, but I think that if they are forced to give up decentralization in exchange for profits, they will.
In general, I expect that the currency will perform well during this year, but I do not guarantee what will happen in the future.

I think yes, I saw this update this morning and looks like it's really huge as you can see price rallies for last 2 days, The price was surge more than 20% and basically it was good sign. I'm just reading some summary about Alonzo Hard Fork and there are some good stuff comparing to other Smart-Contract Chain like Ethereum, One of them is Plutus smart contracts where it should never fail with out of gas when interacting with contract and basically we only need something like Signing the message without paying the TX Fee? If so then it's going to huge, I'm still not really understand about this Fork but this going to be huge and can rival Ethereum since it's have same use case, Well let see what will happens!

Any such upgrade for Cardano will sure take it to the new heights. People usually don't follow the technical details, they just tend to invest in once a new upgrade is announced for a coin.

Cardano never failed to amaze investors, I can't even believe that despite the high supply of Cardano, it has grown that big already.

$2 is real, Cardano had some good run in the bull run and it continues here.
I just 7 days, Cardano already had 50% growth, what an impressive run.

Seems like the alonzo hard fork of cardano that will enable smart contracts on the platform is really coming sometime in september. The price of cardano already reacted very positive to this rumour/news. Even though i don't own any cardano myself i still think that cardano will be one of the hottest project in the next few weeks because of the upcoming smart contract functionality and all the possibilities that are opening up with it. There are already a few DEXes in the works that will run on the cardano chain (for example sundaeswap), just like uniswap for ETH or pancakeswap for BSC. I think that at least one of those has significant moon-potential and i will probably through a few bucks into sundaeswap once that is possible.

they definitely needs something unique to attract interest from the market in the long term. being cheap and fast is not enough, they have to be 'the first' in one or two things so the hype won't die. it's a bit of waste though, if they already support this sc update from the beginning, maybe they'd have larger marketshare right now.

This is a good news, because currently the price of ADA has increased very high and of course the ranking of ADA has also increased, because now ADA is ranked 3rd on coinmarketcap and beat Binance, so I believe this will make many investors start to investing in ADA and make the price of ADA can increase even higher than the current price (create a new ATH price).

They announced that the Alonzo Hard fork will go live on 12 September so a month from now we will see smart contracts come to Cardano.
Very promising news actually I traded some coins yesterday to bank on Cardano and it didn't make me regret yet.
Not sure what is the best thing to do next invest more into it or take the profit and switch back to other Alts.

Remove bitcoin from your list. That's not even a competitor for ADA. The competitor should be another smartcontract platform but ada was too late to do this fork. Poly and BSC already dominated the market.
It's quite difficult for ADA to be able to gain the demand. Those smartcontract platforms were using the bridge idea to attract the new users but if ADA will be using different mechanism and then it would be impossible to be like binance and its BSC.

The price of ADA is still growing, and I believe their ecosystem is growing. Maybe we will see many new projects coming up here, maybe now is a good time to spend some time looking for new projects on ADA platform
