You are actually getting it all wrong bro, YFI price was at $70k during bitcoin's peak, that doesn't mean YFI  can be compared to bitcoin or can be a rival to bitcoin, the comparison is usually between the marketcap of each coin and as at the time writing this the market cap of bitcoin should be x2 or x3 of Ethereum's marketcap, Ethereum is growing really fast and with the London fork which makes eth burn from the total supply, the ETH community is so pumped about it and they keep dreaming that eth will flip btc someday just like other coins did .

At a point i saw Ethereum competing with Bitcoin, but the truth is after a long fight, Ethereum got to realize that Bitcoin is not on his lane (he cannot compete with Bitcoin). So since then, Ethereum has grown to become a very giant ecosystem of it own and its doing quite well in propelling the adoption if decentralized finance.

I just want to know, have you made any transactions in Ethereum recently or have you purchase anything in the market using ETH and if you tried any of these in the past few months you would know that you will be shelling out huge amount of money as gas fees and how do you think it will overtake Bitcoin with these huge technical restrictions.

You don't use the price as a basis for comparison you'll look at market cap and the supply, Bitcoin has limited supply compared to Ethereum, they are rivals of course the first spot is always threaten by the one sitting in the second spot and the second spot always threaten to take over the first spot, for me, they are not rival at all, they compliment each other in some way and their success is the success of the technology.

Ethereum with its smart contract helps the business and banking world to enter a safe crypto world while Bitcoin can be categorized as gold in the real world. The reason is that I have never seen a coin go over Bitcoin.

Aside from price, the trust built within the two is different too. Its use cases and features are quite incomparable. BTC established itself as a store of value that protects your money from inflation and bank intermediaries. ETH in other hand is a utility token for ETH network and this network established itself as a great smart contract creator.

Although they are not close in value the crypro market is still highley volatile so this price gap can change at anytime and considering that etherum is the second most valuable cryto per unit it is naturally the greatest threat to bitcoins position.

when you shop in the Cryptocurrencies market there are many types what comes to mind first, people will look at btc, so he will not be defeated no matter how much it is altcoin, they will see btc as the first.

To be honest, Bitcoin has many disadvantages. It has a very low scalability. As a result, to pay for a cup of tea in a cafe we would have to wait around 10 minutes and pay a big fee, so I don’t find Bitcoin to be very convenient for daily payments. It's not just the mere value but the network itself has different routes of pages where they are completely on another planet to each other. In recent years, people compared Bitcoin to gold while ETH to silver. in terms of price, that would make sense as we can see where they are right now but when it comes to usability, I prefer bitcoin with lightning network to avoid those unreasonable transaction fees when only doing a single transaction.

both of them were best cryptocurrency in market which is have strongest community and also already adopted in any field as payment system or smart contract platform.  between of them could not compared peer to peer because they have different feature and each of them work by their self.

Coins are not ranked according to their price. Ranking is according to market cap.

You can not use the price to compare between the two, you will use their marketcap, I am not saying Bitcoin is not stronger, Bitcoin is the strongest cryptocurrency. If you think you can use the price, you will not get the actual value you are looking for because ethereum and Bitcoin do not have the same prices if even they have the same marketcap, but the buying power is indicated in the marketcap not their price.

This. And i really have a feeling that Ethereum has a change. Now i know that people start to talk about flippening when we are moving at the top of a cycle but there's just too much development happening on ETH and the amount of money involved in DeFi and NFTs is just insane. Not to talk of other systems people are building on top of eth.

Basically, all of the coins that used different blockchain should be co-exist one to the each other. There's no need to expect another competition will be coming from there. Bitcoin has become the main pair for crypto and ethereum to be the best smartcontract platform although there are bunch of smartcontract platform these days but ethereum still remain the best.
People didn't know what they were talking about but they were only seeing the fight between bitcoin based on the price and marketcap.

It is incorrect to compare Ethereum and Bitcoin. They have different purposes, they are used differently.
I can be wrong, but one was created to be anonymous, fast and cheap alternative for payments, but others as a platform/blockchain for projects to be used.
If someone really wants to compare value of each cryptocurrency, I think it will be correct to compare the energy spent to mine both of them compared with the value they have. But not just market value.

For the future ethereum is still difficult to replace bitcoin, but the market response to ethereum is very good for now, many even speculate that ethereum will replace bitcoin in the future.

Ethereum can not beat bitcoin as bitcoin is still the leader among the other coins. Ethereum moves behind bitcoin and it is difficult for ethereum to increase the price like bitcoin price. I don't get you, market cap or price or even popularity Bitcoin is head, neck and shoulder above any other alt-coins, so I think you arguing a lost course, furthermore I don't think I would compare the two, because I plan on owning the two in the future, so a low grade/budget investor I consider myself as one, ethereum may not been too bad for me, but even if it has a low price than Bitcoin, $3000 and more is still high for me.

No one is saying ethereum is stronger than bitcoin, but you can not make use of price to draw the conclusion, the conclusion can be accurately drawn from the marketcap. Bitcoin and ethereum do not have the same supply, they do not have the same price even if their marketcap are the same, not saying their marketcap is the same. Why price is not used to list the cryptocurrencies? It is marketcap that is just to list the coins in hierarchical order.

Not hard to compare coins. Just look at the coinmarketcap rank, you will see a marketcap rank that you will use as comparable coins. If you are comparing just by the price you will wrong, despite that bitcoin is still on the top of the market place but ETH is ever surpassed bitcoin in marketcap also. So this 2 coins are great for investment and no benefit to compare them
