Rx5700xt scare ?

What happened to RX5700xt? I'm trying to buy them online from China and I can't find new ones, it's always out of stock, have AMD stopped building this graphic cards already or I'm just not looking enough?

I remember news about RX5700 has discontinued and reached end of life last year while RX5700 XT say to be the same at Q1/2021. So yes, you won't find any new or just fresh out of factory RX5700 XT graphics card anymore especially since mining is booming so no idle RX5700 XT at all. I think you have to settle with used RX5700 XT if you really want that card.

Just search for the XFX brand,I think it is the only one available as new in China.A few friends of mine bought in bulk like 25 of them to build their mining rigs.They found them through Alibaba and of course they had a contact in China who sent them the cards,you should NEVER buy through Alibaba without having a contact in China as the risk of getting scammed is really high.

But yes for the other brands most of them you cannot find new anymore.

To replace the RX5700xt, AMD has released a new 6XXX series. You won't buy the new RX5700xt video cards in stores because they have been out of production for about a year.
If you buy them, then you need to understand that you are buying used video cards.
But RX5700xt is still one of the best for mining Ethereum.

I've bought cards from Alibaba without any agent in China checking things for me, the truth is always buy from verified sellers and stores, make sure that trade assurance is active so you can get refund if anything happens and also make sure you are buying from sellers that many have bought from and leave good comments

I don't believe this, I still buy new RX580 for someone close to me and RX5700XT is newer compare to rx580, the cards might be scarce but you can definitely still find brand new in stores, by the way this is a link to rx5700xt available for sale in Amazon store

Make sure seller has high number of customers review and you will be fine, I still don't understand how people get scammed on Alibaba and AliExpress when the website already safe guide you, the only way you can get scammed is if you paid the seller offline, the idea behind Alibaba is now like escrow, sellers receive payment after buyers click on received with no issue

rx6600xt and 6700xt are available on Alibaba or AliExpress but rx5700xt has better hashrate compare to the 6*** families that's why they are miners favourite, the 6600xt will be the next because this card can do 30-32MH with just 55-60watt, getting two of this would have made you a rx5700xt don't you think?

6600xt is selling like hotcakes on various retailer, even if the msrp and street price is quite high. the supply is quite good too compared to other current gen card. might be a good alternative if finding rdna1 card is as difficult as buying a used rtx30 series.

One thing is clear here though, AMD cards are still cheaper than Nvidia RTX cards so it's a good plan if OP hunt for RX cards instead of RTX, and it's good that new AMD cards consumes lesser watt but not as good as Nvidia still.

I think these are very inadequate prices. Better to buy 2 video cards rx6600xt instead of one rx5700xt.
Some rx5700xt have problems with cooling and overheating of the memory, and rx6600xt mining perfectly without overheating.
So it is not always profitable to buy old models of video cards.

AMD stopped making these cards already and there are high demand for them because they are so good and efficiency for mining, you can easily find these cards only in bear market, same as Vega 56 and 64, in China right now they are sold out, you can find the RX6700 and 6800 easily but not as good as 5700xt

5700XT are very good for mining, this is the second AMD GPU I owned but I couldn't find them in stores nearby anymore, now it's 6700XT and 6800Xt which have lesser hashrate unlike 5700XT, also they are still high in price it's why my main targets are Nvidia cards, it's better to buy gtx1660 super and Ti still if you can't find the 5700XT anymore, the cheapest cards around are the 1660s and rx580s
