Is this just an annoyance thing? Afaik they can't cost you more than the fees you pay to attempt to swap it unless they have access to your machine or something.

Also, per the question, it depends on the type of wallet you're using but for metamask you can just highlight the token and remove it that way.

I have a few of them in my wallet I search them but all of them are fake or some of them are real but they forcing you to invest on their cloud mining site with your token but with BNB fees(So it's still likely a scam).
Not worth swapping them, it cost you more than the value of that tokens.

Just ignore them it won't affect your wallet it's just like an advertisement spreading to any wallet they find on the BSC.

I thibk they can send it all they want but they can only do watch the wallet growing without anything happening on it. I dont think sending tokens to your wallet could make you hacked by them. Yes they can see your wallet, but thats it. They cant hack it unless they aquire your seed phrase to transfer your funds.

I don't agree with you. I used their exchange link to do a sweep of this token. The token was not swapped then. Later I saw that the FRX token in my wallet was sent to someone's wallet. Who sent the token. I think it was due to swapping the token

This is the first time I hear about this particular case. From the article, it's clear that it's a smart contract exploit that can't be abused to empty your whole Ethereum address and was designed only to attack a particular contract. That of RUNE (whatever that is). And the only reason it can do that is because RUNE doesn't use standard ERC-20 contracts. Instead they use a vulnerable non-standard contract.  The worst thing is that the developers were aware that something like this could happen. Maybe they are the ones exploiting it, who knows.

I also received some fake tokens sent in my wallet, for me this is very annoying because it pollutes the wallet I have. but what makes me wonder, when did the fake token enter my bsc wallet?, why is it not in the Eth wallet?

Me too I receive that fake BSC tokens, but I think it will not cause any harm to your wallet because that was only visible since it was sent to your wallet address unless you made any mistake that exposed your wallet keys and password or even phrase so for the better just let it there and hide it from displaying but some airdrop that was sent to my address has some value but not that big. like $2-3 dollars so don't waste your time to bothering those fake tokens in your wallet just let them rot.

Hackers and scammers will always look for ways to get users, and the approach they use most times is the greed nature of humans, that is, they know that once some people see such tokens in their wallets, the first step would be to know where it is trading and possible ways to swap it without knowing that, it was planned and once they take the step to swap such tokens, their wallets will be hacked. To make matters worst, most times some of these mobile wallets will display an unrealistic price of the token which is always very high, thus increasing the urge for the person to sell.
Lastly, on the creation of most wallets now, once a transaction is done on such wallet, maybe receiving a token from another wallet, some of these scam tokens will be sent almost immediately.
So, it means we have to be very careful of the tokens we swap, and most importantly do not swap tokens you have no idea of. Don't bother sending them out or interacting with them most especially since it's a scam token just hide the tokens from your displaying in your wallet, or you can create a new wallet and move out all your tokens.

You can't view this shit tokens without adding the contract  address of the coins to your wallet. You can just see it when viewing directly on blockchain tracker website. Don't waste time and transaction fee by removing it because your wallet is still safe and this coins won't appear to your wallet automatically so just ignore them.

I don't read the attached thread but the garbage tokens are all faked/dummy coins. I received tons of it on my wallet that has BNB and ETH for a long time that I'm using on different airdrop before.

Theres a method in Ethereum where you can burn junk coins inside your wallet like 888,888 KICK tokens. But it will cost you a little. I am pretty sure that theres an equivalent method under BSC people who tried to withdraw the money will end up losing more BNB.

Been having the same kind of issue on my Tron wallet because everytime I get a transaction this TRC-10 tokens are being airdropped on my end but so far I kept on ignoring them, it's a waste of time. You ain't seen nothing yet, some tokens will show good value just to lure the greedy ones, the best thing is don't even think about spending what you don't work for, ignore the tokens and don't bother claiming or trying to sell them there's always a higher trap in place

I also received it on my wallet but to be realistic why are doing that, what is there gain by scamming someone invest that's insane, though they will get to some greedy people who get free token on the wallet they don't work for.

There are basically two reasons why you can receive those tokens, the first one is that developers of those coins are trying to scam people by making them think that they got free tokens and once they want to exchange them they need to pay more money than what the tokens are worth.

But another reason is that if you have a high amount of capital in a single address then they may try to send those tokens to try monitor your address, which is a really bad sign because that means that they have you in their radar and they may try to hack you eventually, so you need to be very careful if that happens to you.

I've seen exactly this happen on the forum many times before. People asking for collateralised loans only to send fake tokens as collateral.

Always check the smart contract address when you're dealing with ERC20 tokens as there is a good chance if you're receiving tokens from newbies, it is fraudulent.

Such tokens and sent dust tokens don't matter on my wallet for me personally, better to ignore it. If you wanna get rid of the dust tokens, just send them all to the ETH 0x0000 token burning address of Etherscan. (IIRC)
Btw, be careful with the phishing token contracts and never ever enter your personal details especially your private key in case of the website link sent to you by random people. Nowadays, fake token owners use social media on daily basis to hunt inexperienced crypto users with fake projects and tokens.

Well right and the best thing to do is ignore this in your wallet and I think there is nothing to lose if you are not sending it into another wallet.
I have many fake tokens in my wallet and I received this on airdrop last year, most of them are not available in the market. We should learn this kind of lesson that the fact faucet now is wasting our time, we should learn how to find on our own and avoid not to fall on this kind of fake activity. As you can't remove these tokens, just ignore them and don't mistakenly connect your wallet as it may incur loss of funds. Also, for example the EVER token, I have no idea why I also received this, but upon viewing the contract, there is warning statement already. So before being excited that you got free tokens that you can sell, investigate first. Doing quick research won't hurt rather than losing your funds from your wallet.

I also have these coins in my active BSC wallet they all have the same features,  claim or buy button be careful on something you receive as airdrops that do not offer a channel or social media site to ask about their intention, all their social media icon on the bottom of their homepage are either not clickable or lead you nowhere, all of them have the same feature they only differ on the template, I suspect they are of the same owner.

Before I participated in any airdrop I check their channels so I can see if they are hype coins, and developers are always present to update their project, these airdrops do not so be very careful

I also have a some of those tokens from your list in my wallet and i was already wondering where they are coming from. I also heard stories recently from users that said they wanted to sell one of those coins on pancake swap and then somehow other legit coins from their wallet also disappeared or where sent somewhere else even though the user never sent them himself. I don't know if that is true or theoretically possible but i could imagine if you interact with one of those coins on pancakeswap for example that it also gets control over your wallet because your wallet has to be connected in order to be able to trade on pancakeswap.

They seem to have a very good value if you import them into pancakeswap but the approval of the token doesn't goes through. A few who went through the claimed website through name or address has claimed of providing the approval which has drained their own balance rather than being able to exchange it. I don't have a proper proof but I didn't feel like trying it myself. There are different types of approvals and people should keep these as low as possible.

You should be aware of all the coins or tokens that are coming to your wallet, I consider these unwanted coins tokens to be risky, remember the shit token kicktoken they sent to many wallets, it's a way to promote their shit token and exchange, these tokens do now have value at all look at every token in your list they don't have a channel or even an announcement thread here, they are promoting it through spamming which is a wrong way to promote a coin.

You can transfer these tokens to another wallet while the fee is still very cheap if you are annoyed with these tokens.

The ease of token creation on BSC network is a double edge for the users, many good projects have been created but also there are so many scam projects.
This is not new actually, ERC-20 tokens have the same problems before. For people who joining airdrops or even the people who dont, they were receiving random tokens with no value and become a trash in their wallet. This is hard to handle, we could not remove the tokens just could be hidden.
Maybe in the future deleting token feature is needed instead of transferring it to another wallet

These days some scammers are making fake bounty campaigns and giving fake tokens.  So there is no way to know which is the real bounty and which is fake. Those who are new are reading more about this problem.  One thing you have to see all the time is who the manager of Ai Bounty will check with his BTC form profile, whether he is really fake or original.  If it is fake then you must see that it has no merit at all and the position is in Newby.  And they scam by making fake bounty campaigns.
 And that's why you get fake tokens.  And of course, if you get a fake token, you should check it first and see if it is fake by searching on Coingecko.

actually there are many more tokens as you mentioned, even Recently i also got them in my bsc network using trust wallet there are many tokens which look more like spam tokens. I left it on purpose but I noticed that there are still people who are tempted by it, even trying to sell it

Me too I receive that fake BSC tokens, but I think it will not cause any harm to your wallet because that was only visible since it was sent to your wallet address unless you made any mistake that exposed your wallet keys and password or even phrase so for the better just let it there and hide it from displaying but some airdrop that was sent to my address has some value but not that big. like $2-3 dollars so don't waste your time to bothering those fake tokens in your wallet just let them rot.

Some people try to sell them on Pancakeswaqp where fee will be deducted from your BNB balance for approval of transaction but swap of tokens will always fail. actually, if we look at these tokens we can avoid the theft of our assets. in the process of claiming on the exchange before the actual swap, we are asked to unlock locked tokens at a fairly large fee. maybe those who don't realize it is like a transaction fee but actually it is a door for us to send BNB in a certain amount.

Strange thing are happening these day where we see scammers and project developers using various means to actualise there prospective target to gain money from investors who are not aware of there forms of scamming. Luckily i never get any of those tokens, but you can remove the tokens if you using Metamask. I think other wallet can remove the unwanted tokens too. The problem is, if you want to remove certain tokens it does use a gas fee right? so i think it's best to leave them be and hope nothing bad happens

I saw that in my wallet too name zepi.io token. And when i open the comment section in bscscan.com. All comments says its a scammed and its dangerious if we link this token to our wallet addresses like trust wallet or metamask. Need to be careful on this scammed because we saw this inside our wallet. Need to find my way if there a procedure or something to get this unknown token entering our wallets.

This incidents are popping up since SWAP features is available in many platforms. The convinience in doing trade between tokens is make the users are not aware of what they are doing in swap transaction, it make the scammers or bad guys are having a chance to steal people's token by swapping to their trash tokens.

This fake token sending is happening a lot, many of the address owned by big investors also very common to have such fake tokens which sometime have value displayed that can be real or just fake but most of the time if the big investors that owned the address just ignoring it, it can be a fake token.

Best way to handle this is basically just ignoring it completely, that way you would have it on your wallet, a bad thing to see useless tokens on your wallet surely but it is also something quite important to never touch them. Best case you could send it to any other address and that wouldn't give anyone any rights because you are only sending and not swapping but at the same time it's not going to be that difficult to just hold it in your wallet, that's it.

Scammers send those tokens randomly to a large number of wallet address. You will receive those tokens if you have made ETH or BNB Smart Chain transaction from your wallet. Among those tokens I have received only two tokens. MNEB is one of it. Although I got it after participating in their airdrop. Minereum BSC shows the price of Minereum tokens which is based on erc-20 network. In the telegram group MNEB team was saying that user can use those token after buying the mining power from them. I have simply ignored it.

^When I was most active in bounty hunting before I always encounter the same like this get a free token from the giveaways but until now there is no value. But connecting a wallet to an unknown and fake DEX, that's where the problem starts. Only refer to official DEX sites and try to analyze if that site is legit as it's easy to make a clone these days.

Such tokens are usually sent for advertising purposes and you won't lose anything other than the transaction fee when swapping them. But that hasn't always been the case.

personally I also don't want to touch the token, because there is quite a lot of negative news from the coin. many people tried to sell it, but until now most of them couldn't sell the token. anyway, thinking of sending to another address, but i feel that there will likely be more such tokens being sent en masse to scam people, so its better to keep it hidden. unfortunately, I don't know about how to hide the token from the meta mask. The best way to run away from all the harms that comes with all these fake tokens is controling insatiable appetite of selling quickly and then being able to research about tokens you received unexpectedly. Even I think it makes sense to first and foremost, check out a token that just entered your wallet other than looking for exchanges it is listed on to sell.
Also, thanks for bringing to the notice of the community such that, those who might not know what is going on, will be able to educate themselves while taking appropriate security measures.
Lastly, when such tokens enters a person's wallet, it is better to ignore them than making any form of transactions with it, be it to take it out of the wallet or whatever.

The best thing we do is ignore it.

Sadly, many people are scammed this way, moreover newbies that don't know or are not aware of this fake. And those who are very happy by receiving free tokens in their wallet and willing to sell them all by thinking that they can get money freely, in fact, they're scammed.

Those aren't harmful until anyone’s trying to sell and share his/her wallet access to those scammers. Basically, those token's smart contract is deployed just to do trade into their particular website where we need to submit wallet access (private key/ memoric phrase) in order to connect for selling as we can't sell those in pancakeswap(bsc) or quickswap (polygon). Those just ignore and let those be in your wallet like dust.

Everything they do is geared towards our curiosity or simply greed. I noticed something for my BSC wallet with the token GoFlux.io(Flux), it has a contract with the name Fake_Phishing61. It's good that everything is alerted if you feel curious but not over the limit "Warning! There are reports that trying to withdraw or move this token via their website could lead to a loss of funds. Please exercise caution when interact with the contract address."
Be wary of strange tokens like these.

There are hackers sending out fake tokens which replicate legit ones and i have heard about many people falling for those scams as once you try to connect them to a DEX then you might be vulnerable to an attack. I am not sure about the facts because i usually neglect these strange tokens in my wallet.

Even we don't know the method, we have a large community to ask. Just create a thread at the right section then many will help here. Don't be afraid or be shy to ask about a problem. Fake tokens that are now in our wallets are not really harmful if we are vigilant.

All you need to look is the contract address and if they are not the contract address of the coin your are holding, it is a fake one and you do not need someone to help you in checking that.

yeah. i am not a prolific developer or coding skills but there are loads of loop holes on tron and BSC smart chains where a programmer design a token, sent it to multiple wallet and whenever you tried to exchange that token any exchange, you will loose funds from your wallet. it seems like interacting with the smart contract creates a back door for the hacker to assess your wallet. once you interact with the smart contract, it is possible that your funds will be collected from your wallet.

I see that Thevera.io, minereum BSC and Airstacks.net in my binance wallet address as well good think I do research first before going and claiming those today that turns out to be a clickbait fraud tokens.
