Dead coins are just the same with shitcoins which most of us are probably holding for many years and just stuck on our wallets. It is countless of them and might be adding more in the future when people are not getting tired to create worthless projects.

In these days, we can no longer be patient when suspected that we are holding shitcoins but have to sell them if it has a market value. We don't expect them that gets into hypes and make money more but be wise and think that there is a chance that it will become dead someday. I have that learning as it was the real deal in the market. We are not a garbage collectors and so we neither hold them as well.

Do you hold any dead coins?

'Dead Coins refer to cryptocurrencies that have been abandoned, used as scam, their website is down, has no nodes, has wallet issues, doesn't have social updates, has low volume or developers have walked away from the project.'

How should we manage dead coins?
Why would anyone want to hold a "Dead coin". Usually the dead coins have no value at all. You won't even be able to sell them for a single satoshi since no one would be willing to buy them. The only way to manage dead coins is to get rid (sell) of them as soon as you can before the coins become totally worthless. If you think those dead coins will recover soon, then you are wrong. It is never going to happen. I have seen people holding shitcoins hoping that the price will recover from their dip. But it doesn't happen. People lose interest and the price takes further dip.

Alot of  traders or investors consider shit-coin as a good opportunity to make quick money in the recent time we have seen many investors invest in the meme coins in hope of making quick money but truth is that hardly 1-2% of them are able to make good money otherwise most of them loose. In recent times many shit coins pump and dump also even we have seen rug pull also where mostly all the investors lose their money so we should focus on good coins rather than shit coins. These shit coins in my opinion ruining the image of the cryptos it is not good for the market I feel.

I also have some coins that have died, all their channels are also inactive. so now we don't need to manage it anymore, our energy is wasted.

from now on leave them (dead coins) and focus on other coins that still have prospects.

Your right we need to stick on those strong coins exist in crypto market.. Common example is btc and eth. In direct thought, in investing a new coin is always been a risk, but not all goes to nothing some goes to profit and what i mean is we should take the risk in investing new coins. We have different strategy, some invest with assurance while some are risk taker.

There's nothing you need to do with dead coins, and if you ask do I have one? yes i have it and once i know that the coin is no longer useful i will write it on the blacklist, because it's useless if you focus too much on dead coins, it's better to look at other good coins for us to get a profit.

Just keep it in your wallet as decoration, like what i do, LOL
We can send it to any burning wallet actually, but it will required gas, and it will cost alot of money since i have it so many from bounties and airdrops, so i let it sitting there and nothing i can do, maybe network will have good solution to make it worth, sell it as trash coin maybe ? Or convert all worthless coin to ETH like Binance have option convert small balance coins to BNB in our wallet.

I think, if you have joined cryptocurrency since 2015 or below that year, then you have at least one dead coin. well, in my wallet, there are so many dead coins that I get from airdrops, bounty projects, investments, and others. other than that most dead coins come from obscure airdrops.
So far, I've only left the coin in my wallet in the hope that someday it will have a price. there is no other way to manage dead coins other than keeping them or send them to another wallet to get rid of the tokens in your main wallet.
Besides that, I also have a suggestion that for every airdrop, bounty project, and investment that you will join in, you should do as deep research as possible, because this can create minimal risk not to get dead coins.

Some tokens/coins in my wallet cannot be traded especially the ERC 20 tokens as far back as 2018. Obviously these tokens are dead. But with the rising gas fee of Etheruem it is expensive to get rid of them. I have basically ignored them since they don't pose any danger - in my opinion. I suggest leaving them for now and focus on other prospective projects. However, in the future, some of these coins that are dead might spring up surprises as those behind them may decide to resuscitate them and they could become valuable.

I think I have hundreds of dead coins Cheesy

Many tokens or coins have come to many of my wallets over the years. Some are airdrops, some are bounties, and some are ones I buy as investments. If a coin is dead, it's dead, no need to wait for it to come back. If it comes back one day you will sell it and it will be a small gift for you.
But don't have too much hope for these coins. Thousands of dollars worth of coins are dead in wallets Cheesy

I really do not do anything as far as my dead coins are concerned. If there is really no other way to monetize these coins then I will leave them alone. I do not have the network nor the connections that would ensure I can sell my shitcoins to somebody who is interested. Anyway that is the nature of crypto, you just invest, trade, and accumulate assets and pray that it will work out for you and be able to encash them once the price is right.

I leave my dead coins in my wallet and forgot it. More of the time my dead tokens does not recover even until now. For a long time I expect and hope that it will increase but it didn't happen. Because of my bad experience in dead tokens I never buy again any token that don't have enough transparency and clear whitepaper. I buy tokens now that are popular and related to NFT game.

I need to now check which are such coins, because very early used to have such penny altcoins but then once those become dead I just moved on and never looked back at them. Started investing in much better and worthy coins now rather than the worthless which was an mistake at an early stage.

I do, a few months ago I discovered an old unknown wallet.dat file. I was curious to see what it was, I supposed it was a Bitcoin or Dogecoin wallet, since those two coins were the only ones I was accustomed to, approximately back in 2014-2015. Tried recovering it, but to no avail. I made a thread here to request help, and soon enough, with the help of the forum, I recovered the wallet, which at first looked like a Bitcoin Gold address.

Unfortunately, the wallet wouldn't sync, on top of that, I was accustomed to BTG in any way, so it made me suspicious. Googled the wallet address and guess what, it was Garlicoin. I had mined a few of them quite a few years ago, they were worth something back then, but now they are pretty much worthless.

I've also found a few tokens in my Ethereum wallet, Kakushin (KKN) and one more I don't even remember.

Yes I do have plenty of dead coin that I gain from doing bounty projects such as xcrypt, FTEC, Swace and RISK but I don't mind them anymore knowing that they dont have any value at all. I just put them in my wallet.

I have a lot of dead coins. Some of them have never entered crypto exchanges and probably will not be traded anymore. This fact does not really bother me. Other coins, the price of which in total is a meager amount, does not even make sense to withdraw from the wallet. Especially with such an ether fee.

There are a lot of resources were you can find the list of dead coins. Here are some of them:
https://www.coinopsy.com/dead-coins/
https://99bitcoins.com/deadcoins/
As for me I have Win token in my wallet that is actually not dead but costs so low and the amount I have is so small that it lies in my wallet for already several years and probably will lie there for many many years more until won’t finally scam.

I have various dead coins in my ETH wallet from 2017 and there is no update or listed in exchanges, as you said their social media is dead and the team is gone then we can't do anything with them maybe from someone come back and launch on BSC chain but the chance is 1%.

I have a number of dead coins in my ethereum wallet, I don't think about it anymore. Dead coins that are no longer valuable, become a collection in my wallet, all their sites are no longer operating even the owner has forgotten the coin. there is no way of managing dead coins, I left them and no longer wasted time waiting to be reactivated.
What you did was very precise, because your time is far more valuable than having to think about a dead coin, because no matter what efforts you will make, there will be no way to revive a dead coin, because that is in control is the coin team itself, not anyone else.

we all received fake coins and am afraid if by mistake anytime I connect it I might lose my other precious coins in my wallet even I also wanted to know how to remove or hide them. We must not try to sell those coins that landed in our wallet that is not in our knowledge. Be carefull while buying and selling any coins
