What stand do bounty hunters hold on new crypto projects

The rate at which I am seeing most crypto currency projets emerging on a daily basis, hiring campaign Manager to manage and promote their projects, and at the end they will end up not paying hunters.
Early 2017 when I was introduced to this forum, i joined and became a hunter then the bounty of a thing was paying massively. But currently the way project teams treat hunters as if their efforts are not worth paying for.
Recently I have seen some few projects which conducted a campaign and end up not paying the hunters at the end of the bounty one of them is Lunaland (LLN TOKEN) since the campaign ended the manager has been struggling to get reward distributed to bounty participants which the Lunaland team has refused to comply and they made a post on their official thread that the team has decided not to pay for the bounty that the team has the final say. And the manager has promise to take every action to make sure he get justice for it's hunter's.
A similar case also happened few months ago on HEPA Finance bounty ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5344679.0)
Which after the campaign the manager refuse to distribute reward to hunters.

Student coin project also end up reducing hunters reward saying they don't deserve it and paying what they feel like it's right.

My question here is, are bounty hunters suppose to be treated like beggers the way they are treating them.

And what are the possible solution of stopping such scammed projects from scamming hunters?

My own suggestion is, bounty managers should organize and agree on demanding bounty reward from team before any campaign should be carried out. That way bounty reward will be guaranteed.

There is no way to stop those scam bounties to keep coming. What bounty hunters has to do to be able to avoid those scams is to research thoroughly with the bounty that you are joining. It is the only way for you guys to avoid being scammed by those bounties.

Unfortunately, there is nothing the bounty manager can do if the dev team decides not to pay the reward.
All a bounty hunter can do is open a scam accussation here on Bitcointalk.
In the future, investors who will search for information about the project will be able to find it and it will probably influence their investment decision.
If the dev team does not take such consequences into account, it means that it is not a serious project.

Since the team was holding the payment and then they can do anything with it. This is the problem that would never be solved easily.

The team must be agreed to escrowing the funds. I have seen that the only bounty detective was doing this thing. Sometime the reward already escrowed by BD team and that was giving guarantee tot he payment

Well, bounty hunters generally allow themselves to be deceived when they are taking on 10 or 20 projects at a time,,, I see all the complaints and I see the quality of those complainants are sort of expected.

Why not those hunters just stop their activities and stop shilling and promoting? Then the scam projects naturally die. Escrowing? Anyone can escrow tokens and lock them when they are made out of thing air!

Most of the successful projects out their pass through this process.
Shilling has been a major way of promoting projects, and most hunters have devoted their time to develop those shilling skills, stopping shilling is not the best option because their are alot of good projects out their who needs it.

Escrowing will not perfectly solve the problem, but it will eventually reduce the rate at which hunters get scammed. Because swapping to a new contract or locking token can take lot more experience and will also affect most of their major investors.

Why do I get the feeling that this thread was open soly because of what lunaland bounty recently did! because this is not the first project to do this and won't be the last, unfortunately this is what is happening in token base campaign since they are not escrow to secure the reward payment.

Maybe because Lunaland is the most recent  big project that acted like this. Looked at their spreadsheet and so many people spent time creating content,posting, etc. But this happened before too. Been here since 2013 and saw many Bitcoin/Litecoin clones doing it at the beginning. I guess it is in the human nature to act strange at some point...

It is really worrisome and discouraging. Simply put, a laborer deserves his/her wages. It is not proper to deny hunters their hard earned work after spending time and resources to promote a project. Is it not shameful for the project owners to refuse to pay the hunters assisting to promote their project? We all can brainstorm to come up with better ideas that will benefit projects as well as hunters as well as eliminate scam projects.

Sad reality is ? Bounty hunters are allowing themselves to be treated like this by desperately joining  bounty that they don't even researched deeply.
so when this end scamming literally it is their mistake because there is an obvious 90% of scamming in bounty program yet they are joining.

Bounty managers need to work as managing the bounty , and regarding payments it is the companies obligation .
meaning managers mostly accept the project to compensate , and it is only their good deed if demand for rewards to be  escrowed but it is not their obligations .

Bounty projects should be pre-secured and issued by an intermediary. Deposits can be made in stages.
That's the best idea I can come up with against scams. The selection of the bounty project must be chosen by the bounty hunter.

currently every second, third project turns out to be a hoax for bounty hunters.  even if the project is good and brings in a lot of money, it ends up abandoning the hunters without paying for the work done, and analysis cannot always help with this.

Unfortunately in most case, bounty managers can't do much when it comes to the progress of the project. Even if the bounty manager get the tokens in advance  and distribute those tokens once the campaign ends, but what if those token never come to the exchanges and they will have no value. Since there are many scam bounty, these days it lucky for anyone to find and join a good bounty.

It is hard to stop scammed projects from scamming hunters as there is no way to identify if a project is a scam or not. The bounty hunters can only know in the middle or even at the end of the campaign and the scam project will not pay the bounty hunters. The bounty managers can not do anything if, somehow, the project becomes a scam because they do not relate to it. Maybe those bounty managers are not getting paid by the projects because all of the team is running away with the investor money.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with you. However, you can significantly reduce the risk of joining the bounty campaign of suspicious project. The best form of a bounty campaign is the one in which the dev team places a bounty pool in the escrow. If escrow is not done and as we know, not all bounty hunters can do good research, so it is important to join projects managed by experienced bounty managers. These two things can largely save us from wasting time for scammers.
