Everyone has the freedom of thought in the same way as we hope that bitcoin will us achieve economic freedom.

But just as the economic freedom proposed for bitcoin has its limits and only exists in total practice for a few, our thoughts are free but in practice they are imprisoned to the reality of life.

We cannot generalize about things like "everyone" in any state of time, because in the finite variables of daily life, people are different, everyone welcomes and accommodates themselves in the freedom to decide and in that diversity of opinions there is no a continuous reflection of the same interactions.

So, very good that there is resistance to pro bitcoin thinking, because that means that it is not taxing and that no matter how accepted or involved with it society becomes, it is always an option to decide whether we are part of the happiness of having bitcoin.

Yeah it's like gold and precious metals from the history. The usage were limited in the earlier days but they started to grow as the dynasties and kingdom rose and as the demand got increased with the popularity. Later came the time where peeps found out more characteristics of the same and how valuable that asset could be.

I see same potential with the bitcoin also. In this scenario it is all digital and this could be beginning of new future for the generations to come. May be they will make bitcoin so valuable that precious metals won't be a thing of the era. I dont know but, there will be a day in the future which will be celebrated as Bitcoin day for real.

I don't think bitcoin is "till infinity". No technology can last till infinity. Don't you think people had the same thought with metals or paper currencies were used? They probably thought or think that paper money is going to be here forever. But no. It won't last forever. Metals got replaced. Fiat paper money will highly likely get replaced too. In the similar way, bitcoin or crypto currencies my no longer exist as technology gets better and superior. Something might get invented that might totally replace crypto currencies.

Nothing lasts forever, as the popular saying goes. The fast pace in technological advancement may be the reason in the future why bitcoin will become obsolete. Though it is not yet seen at the moment, but that situation is about to happen as the technology evolves very fast. We don't know if someone can create something more advanced in the future. So we need to prepare for such things to happen.

20 years, 50 years from now, it is possible to have another market surprise, another technology created which might be the reason for Bitcoin becoming obsolete. We can just set this aside and having the use of digital currency is an example of this. Might fiat money have no excuse with this and we have to be prepared that someday this fiat money, Bitcoin/cryptocurrency will end.

always be new sophisticated technology, I believe one day Bitcoin will be obsolete and replaced by something more sophisticated. But no one
knows when it will happen, we don't have to think too far. It's better to focus on what is now, take advantage of Bitcoin now, because right now

We'll not a hundred percent sure. in my own opinion, bitcoin will be the last cryptocurrency to go down. Bitcoin is the heart and the brain of all cryptocurrencies.

I think you exaggerated it. Bitcoin might be popular now and i had no doubts about it but we wouldn't really know what will happen in the future. Maybe there are some changes in technologies that could change and affect the pace that bitcoin was taking and surprasses it.

My only point is that nobody knows what's the outcome of bitcoin in the future. The most important thing is for you to focus on what we have now.

As for now, i don't see any chances that an altcoin will dethrone bitcoin because bitcoin will always be the king of crypto and it will always will as long as it keeps dominating the market. There are a lot of new altcoin projects nowadays but seems that most of the projects that are out in the market today have low potentials to last long in the market.  So definitely bitcoin will always have its position today and maybe in the near future.

But i'm also open that bitcoin won't have to live long till infinity. There's no way that an investment will not fade or lost its value in time. Things will change in the future and maybe by that time a new investment asset or currency will arise that is much better to bitcoin so people will definitely stop bitcoin usage and stick to another coin or currency.

Of course it's still unlikely that an altcoin is going to replace bitcoin but it will take some time and there's a lot of people and out of all those people, some of them will eventually think of an idea that can dethrone bitcoin. Humans are a wonderful beings, they're obsessed with learning and trying to be much better than the last time.

Therefore we may like Bitcoin, but there is no need to overdo it and make decisions that can be self-defeating in the end. Like using all the money
we have to buy Bitcoin or even borrow money from a bank to be able to invest in Bitcoin. Things like that can be a problem in the future, don't
assume Bitcoin will be in this world forever and irreplaceable. So we risked everything for Bitcoin, that kind of investment is not healthy
in my opinion. Think of Bitcoin like any other asset, we buy with the extra money we have and take profit when it reaches the target we want.

When i flashbacks far 2013 and 2014, within that range far back i remember how people were castigating bitcoin as a means of extortion of money, and also a means of scamming peoples money, but today everyone is interested to invest in cryptocurrency and more especially in bitcoin, because from what i observed from little bitcoin seminar program i hosted in my geographical domain even a nursing mother that is approximately forty to forty eight (40-48) years is interested to invest with bitcoin and children in school is already knows what is bitcoin, so with this length of bitcoin awareness in my society i think BTC can stay till infinity.

Surely, bitcoin will continue to thrive for the next years, but it's not certain that bitcoin will be the king of all time. In the next few years, there's always a possibility that a new coin will emerge that has a lot more potential than bitcoin. There's always a chance that some coin can surpass the greatness of bitcoin. Given that our technology is improving and innovation is always happening, a lot of positive and negative effects can occur. So saying that bitcoin will stay for eternity is a heavy assumption and claim. It's still uncertain. But as long as it exists to be on the top spot we can do so many things to savor it. We can predict its trend and utilize every market movement to our benefit. Hodling is not for the faint-hearted. It takes guts to hold over a speculative asset. While it is ideal to hold and cash out at a high position in the future, we must also take profit from time to time to enjoy the sweetness of our hardships over the years.

Agreed, however taking into account that it will take bitcoin sometime before it becomes the most widely used form of money around the world and our limited lifespans that we have as humans then bitcoin could very well become the leading currency until the end of our lives, so while it will not last literally to infinity it may as well do so in our cases as we will not get to see those other coins and the technology behind them.

I don't know what the early days of btc were like because if you say I'm a new person starting in crypto and haven't been here long.
but what I want to underline here is everything related to money, of course there are pros and cons, especially in btc, actually things like you said in 2013/2014 are still happening a lot now.

so with this length of bitcoin awareness in my society i think BTC can stay till infinity.

to survive it may be true that btc will survive but remember there is always a limit in something because everything has its own period and trend.
indeed btc will last a long time but of course over time we don't know what will happen in the future.

You can't just use your own personal anecdotes about the rising popularity of something that conclude that it means that Bitcoin will exist forever. That's not how society and technology works. Countless technologies that were once widespread have became artifacts of the past with today's kids and young adults having no idea how to operate  them. Bitcoin hasn't even became widely used yet, yet a lot of Bitcoiners are treating it as if it's already one of the fundamental technologies of the world.

So many things can change in the future, a completely new and unforeseen form of money could emerge, or maybe there will be a better cryptocurrency, or crypto as a whole could just fail to achieve popularity. You can believe and hope what you want, but you can never be certain in anything.

Yes there are many technologies that came rise and cease to exist very quickly, like wise its too early to predict whether BTC will exist till infinity or not. There are many countries like mine where BTC and other cryptos are still ban, yet crypto enthusiastic claim that BTC is one of fundamental technologies of the world.
BTC has long way to go, its still far away from mainstream adoption. Here at bitcointalk.org everyone knows BTC but how many out of 100 (in real world) knows about BTC?
