NFT stands for Non-Fungible Token, or token that cannot be used. NFT is based on blockchain technology like Bitcoin, only different.

If Bitcoin is like a coin, then NFT is like a digital certificate associated with a unique digital asset. Having NFT is not the same as owning physical goods, users can only have NFT through digital ownership records of physical assets or goods, as reported by Slashgear.

So, this NFT is like a certificate that is only owned by tangible and intangible goods. NFT has a significant difference from other cryptocurrencies even though they both use blockchain technology.

It's the hot and latest trend but if you've been in the crypto market for years. You've witnessed many trends and most of them didn't stay that much so to know if they're going to last depends on how successful the project or the NFT is.

NFT is all about digitalized art or in simple term, a digital collection. It was meant for collectors investment so if you are indeed a collector like paintings or other stuff, NFT is suitable for you and good for investment. I've been saying that NFTs are just a fad but currently we have seen them have tremendous value in the market. According to Chainalysis a majority of the volume is from institutional investors. People are in this to make a profit not because they appreciate art.
