50$ to 100$? I think it is not enough for investing the tx fee for now is very high and the 100$ is very small, I think you need to add this at least 400$ or 500$ maybe you can invest in Shiba Inu coin by this amount or some cheap altcoin that has a potential to rise in the near future.

If the choice is only for Shiba Inu, I think $100 is enough and even very feasible for him, because coins as cheap as Shiba Inu can be obtained in very large quantities for $100 because Shiba Inu uses a network from BSC where the Tx fee is still very cheap According to me.

maybe a bit late but i agree with what you suggest about algo, i also have some assets there and i have kept it from a few months ago around the end of august and i have now received some profit from there.
