Unlikely to happen and hopefully wee don't see that from happening because all the other tokens hitching in them would definitely go up in prices like NFTs and I don't want that to happen now that I don't have a lot of NFT yet.

Totally agree, we can't be sure of the position of the prices in the future but we can always predict and hope that it will go to that point eventually, a little faith and patience on what's to come is going to be helpful in making things more easy for you to not stress things over, just hodl and wait, you don't want to miss out when prices skyrockets.

The evolution to Ethereum 2.0 which makes it more efficient and has the capacity for larger transactions makes the future of Ethereum a bright future. Current Ethereum is still going through stages to achieve this evolution, with the first phase which started in December last year. Although no one can predict what the price of Ethereum will be in the future, But if the Ethereum 2.0 project is successful, it is very likely that Ethereum will reach a price of $5,000 in the next year.

Ethereum 2.0 has been long ago to be expected bringing the Hype but what happened till now?  this fails so many investors and supporters and sadly i am one of those and so i stopped the support and starts to invest in other coins below this rank second currency.
Maybe we will see that growth when bitcoin climbs back to 60-80k level .

exactly the thing to consider , NFT is the biggest contributor aside from the 2.0 version of ethereum but this comes nothing now .

What's the problem? because so far I have not found any problems with Ethereum and in general between Ethereum and NFT it has nothing to do with it even though they are both in the cryptocurrency space, and for 2022 it still has to wait because everyone is still in 2021

If the next hardfork will be fixing the problem that is still exist in ethereum like blocksize problem and it may trigger the price of ethereum to surpass 5k. it's still possible rate to be achieved by ethereum.

you can see that here but inflation already decreased more than 30% from since when we are taking the total issueance ; total burn and it must be around 30% - 40% based on the average burn rate on ether.

If you just hope that ETH $5000 in 2021 then I think this is really simple if you make the right commitment to it. $5000 level is not too big a price for ETH, the recent changes in ETH may not be enough to show strong growth, but it is still happening, I suspect if you look at 2021 I strongly believe ETH will cross the $10000 mark by the end of the year.

Eth could not touch $5k even after going around 5k ২ twice. Lately, big dumping are being seen in the market from many time. Which is taking the market away from its normal behavior. that's why market It's going upside down. But if the market returns to normal, ETH will probably raise 5k

Currently ETH is battling hard in the crypto market. It would be good if ETH reaches first 4k by November at least. 5k was really posssible at april now not looking that good. I still hope ETH and other cryptocurrencies will explode by the end of the year. Hopefully some big news trigger it. The safest bet for me is bitcoin and eth behind it

Bitcoin will decide it because Ethereum can not hit $5,000 if Bitcoin won't hit its new all time high.

Ethereum gets its new all time high in 2021 after three years since 2018. The upgrade help Ethereum to make 2021 new all time high. I meant the upgrade effect was shown in price and if anything else can help Ethereum to move higher, it comes from Bitcoin and the growth of crypto market.

Only if we can tell this, but there’s no guarantee for such price this year. For me, as long as the price is below $3000 that’s a good price entry and you can hold and wait for the next bull that can trigger the price to go up even beyond $5k. Time will come for this, we are going to rise on that level so better to be ready for that.

Unless Bitcoin price will shine more or make the market green until the end of the year, ETH reaching $5,000 is possible. There's no technical analysis you can rely on but is it really important to you to know where ETH is heading this year?

Waiting for such a target is good but don't expect.

The only problem is too much FUD around the market and that was also making ethereum quite difficult to go back again to the around 4k or 5k range.

I would assume that the only thing that could save it is a big market rush. If crypto prices say "this is enough" and stop going down and start going up instead then we are going to see ETH go up as well. It doesn't drop to huge low levels, 3k+ is still a nice level and as long as we stay at 3k+ then we are going to be fine. However we have seen a lot more problems and that is the case here, as long as there are big problems then we do not really know what to do about it.

Let's assume for a second that we may end up with a big increase, then why wouldn't ethereum go up too? It will definitely go up. However an increase on 2.0 is something we will not see for a while. There are basically no improvements on that front at all and I doubt that there would be any for a while neither.
