To those who are trading consistently, I would like to ask you based on your experience.

Which is easier in making a profit, riding with the hype, or waiting until the price will dip?

Most people say that don't buy when the market is bullish, just wait until there's a price correction and the price will dip.
So with your experience, I like to know which is more effective between the two.

I feel both are good and profitable but to know which is easier depends on the timing. but if you get into hype investment, i think in short time will get huge profit but high risk because it is inflated and when you want to sell high buy back low price and expect it to go up again original price very difficult . On the contrary, when investing in a long-term project, we can safely wait for the price to rise, then sell at a high price, then wait for a low price to buy back to continue making profits in the long term.

It also depends heavily on your preferences, there are risk takers that can easily ride the hype and most importantly they do not suffer any bad effect from doing so as several people could experiment stress, insomnia and other issues and as such they cannot really ride the hype, however there are others that prefer to buy the dip and in order to do so you need to have diamond hands as it is easy to get scared about your investment if the price keeps going down, and you do not want to sell at the very bottom just as many people have done in the past.

in trading I take advantage of HYPE and also take risks on new coins. I am active on BSC, FTM, POLLYGON blockchain for low cost reasons. when i trade on Pancake Swap new coin can give chance to get 10% - 50% and also keep in mind that exit after making profit because it is not good to hold on there new coin too long.

For me the best and easier way to earn a good amount of profit is when you accumulate every time that their is a dip, correction and retracement and wait for the time of pump to sell it than just riding to the hype because I have seen many people lost a very huge amount of funds because of FOMOs.

By my experience, Riding the wave is the easier one, but is also riskier since you never know when the wave will stopped. But Buying the dip mostly turn your investment into profit slowly but its sure.

Going with experience is very good but still going with riding is never been good idea because this can go anyway, and it's really riskier for funds specially newbies never try to do things like this recently we have some very bad things in crypto which started by Elon Musk so must chances many will follow them, and they will manipulate and give big after shocks. The most important thing is that we can be patient waiting for the price to go up, and don't panic if after we buy the price goes down. It will be back, and we stuck in high price.

I don't think there is any option between the two scenario,  you may want to wait for the dip and it may never come as at the time you want it.  You may want to ride the bullish momentum and get dumped on.  I think each market situations are different and unique and you should not expect exact situation each time.  To answer your question directly,  none is better than the other!

If the bull stays alive it's better to ride along with they hype, buy low and sell high but make sure you choose top coins like BTC or ETH, all you need is patience for recovery and take profits, wait for corrections again and repeat the same process

I find it not much different, this question is only for newbies when they are lost in knowledge from this field, and they do not know what is a suitable option.
Honestly, making a profit in this field is easy, but keeping it is another matter.
I believe the OP has also combed through a time when not being able to grasp everything, greed and lack of knowledge are always the main causes of trading failure.
But in an obvious trend that you have believed from the beginning with your own judgment, it is the flexibility to make profits that is superior, not the one that gives the best profit.

I'm more effective at waiting when the coin price drops, but every action has a big coin trading risk and before starting trading it's more effective to learn how to trade correctly so that when the coin price drops you don't panic quickly.

It happen to me too, I was thinking that I bought the coin in a lower price but afterwards the market did not favor me,

I ended it up selling with damages on my initial capital, don't have choice since some emergency hit me and I need to pull my investment out,

Sometimes, even you assess and you think that experienced already gave you good instinct but you still going to experienced mistake, better

to have separate money for your investment and for your emergency, spare amount to invest something that you can easily let go.

I agree that buying the dip is the best option out of the two, however we must understand that during the times in which we are seeing a strong decrease in the price of bitcoin there is a lot of panic in the markets, and as such it means that if you buy during one of those instances it is going to be difficult to keep holding your coins as all of what you are going to be reading at the time is about how the price will keep going down and that you need to sell your coins.

I agree that buying the dip is the best option out of the two, however we must understand that during the times in which we are seeing a strong decrease in the price of bitcoin there is a lot of panic in the markets, and as such it means that if you buy during one of those instances it is going to be difficult to keep holding your coins as all of what you are going to be reading at the time is about how the price will keep going down and that you need to sell your coins.

You'll be force to work on it up to the point that you'll going to lose portions of your investment, timing is not easy, thinking that you already bought your coin in such a low price but the pressure coming from panic sellers will impact to the current market movement, not always you'll going to be lucky buying in the right time.

Consider everything and analyze before you make your call, don't forget to keep having a wider patience with you. Emotions will kill you if you don't extend your patience.

Be furious and observe if there's a need to adjust your current strategy.

It is definitely safest to wait for a correction and buy when there is a large decline. Later, all you have to do is wait for the pump or simply the price increases on the markets and sell. Unfortunately, you never know when a bear market may come and a low price may come, it may not be the lowest, and we may wait another year or two for further increases.

There are two different strategies: buying when everybody is panic selling and buying just in the beginning of great FOMO. Both are working good imho - you just need some experience to catch the right moments in both cases.

I have the same way as you in trading and always an investor after buying the price goes down again and need patience waiting for the price to come back higher. Don't hold back when buying a potential altcoin but you need to use stop loss when bitcoin is unstable and the price is really going down. I think so to maintain stability and potential in trading.

I have the same way as you in trading and always an investor after buying the price goes down again and need patience waiting for the price to come back higher. Don't hold back when buying a potential altcoin but you need to use stop loss when bitcoin is unstable and the price is really going down. I think so to maintain stability and potential in trading.

there is no way people "always" get a profit when they do the trading.  they certainly will get some loss sometimes.  if you still worry about "the price still going down", it means you didn't buy it when the price is really dip. i always buy some coin when the price is really dip, then stable for a few days. i don't buy it immediately when the price still dip. you have to monitor the price frequently, so you won't miss the pump moment and sell it in highest price.
