If those sports stars can bring positive things to crypto, they can invite their fan to follow their way to start investing in crypto. They can start learning about crypto together and educate each other, boosting crypto adoption in many countries as their fan will come from many countries. If many more sports stars can follow the same thing, it will give more time for a crypto to reach more people and maybe that will not take too long to see the crypto will be more popular.

A network effect will play its parts, I believe. It's surely in terms of awareness public/sports figures will give an exposure to the masses about cryptocurrencies in general. I do iterate that I always saying about the network effect toward this space from a public figure, it because I believe it surely has an effect. What more to come to emphasize is how the adoptions also bring the masses to aware about the financial sovereignty, not just following what's trending in the world.
In short, I do hope the adoptions come with the curiosity about what is possible in terms of sovereignty. Therefore, the decentralization essence of cryptocurrencies is still preserved.

I support the spread of blockchain applications in all areas of life. However, in reality, not many projects are exploiting this field. Although sports stars are becoming more and more interested in crypto right now, to me they are just KOLs and lack knowledge of this market. So positive crypto spillover, but don't let these leaders mislead you.

When it comes to Dogecoin i think those celebrities do more harm than good for crypto. We saw what happened 2 months ago with useless dog tokens which almost ended up with crypto winter. On the other side, clubs starting their own fan tokens is a big plus and a healthy promotion, especially when its associated to global mega stars like Messi. There are a lot of people, who will trusts celebrities more than politicians.

Crypto is getting mainstream as we talk. The only thing holding it back is lack of regulations, which has made it a bedrock of malicious characters and criminals. However as much as it reduces the decentralization, it can make it more acceptable

It's a good thing if they enter the crypto space, it means that the community in the crypto space will be stronger. The thing to avoid is when they give an opinion, don't sometimes believe it completely, keep researching first. As you mentioned above that Messi receives part of his salary with Crypto (PSG Fan Token), Until now I don't believe it I consider it a marketing strategy from Socios and PSG to increase their token market cap.

I think it's no surprise that there are also active athletes interested in cryptos because in the end there are just normal people too and if for example 2% of the world population is interested in cryptos then i would guess that there are also 2% of all athletes interested in cryptos. I also noticed that this year there is a lot of advertising of big crypto projects going on in major sports. For example Tezos is visible on several Formula 1 cars. As far as i know the ad space on a formula 1 car is very expensive so that is pretty cool. Also in the UFC i noticed a ad of crypto.com that was mentioned during the fight i guess that is also pretty expensive.

I think that is good news to us because at least those sports stars are aware of the existence of the crypto and they want to involve in crypto. Maybe they have a big interest in the benefits from crypto so they decide to join in crypto and I think the other sports stars will join with them too. But hopefully, those sports stars can learn more about crypto to know what coins to invest and not just accept the offers to invest in one or two projects or become an ambassador of the project.

For now the popularity of the crypto world is having the upper hand so many sports stars who have joined crypto and started investing in it, although for now it is experiencing negative news from china but I believe the crypto currency is already standing strong and very difficult to drop to the lowest price as when it first came, Then the current decline is only temporary and we must take advantage of this opportunity to invest in order to later get a satisfactory profit.

If many sports stars are interested in Crypto, I think it's normal because they see great potential in Crypto. But if a Lionel Messi receives part of his salary in Crypto I think it's part of his club's management strategy to promote crypto, especially their token (the club). As we know, Lionel Messi is an icon of today's football sport. So by paying part of his salary through crypto token, then Messi fans will definitely follow to buy these token.

dunno why but whenever i see this things i automaticaly think that it was only a form of advertisement to promote and to probably pump the crypto , most especially to that new token psg fansclub and also to dogecoin while for btc , btc is in the mainstream already and its normal for someone to use this coin but if we honestly love to use a certain crypto, i think its not necesary to shout it out in public because we are already doing our support for the crypto once we buy and hodl them .

Crypto is a very popular topic now, the media makes it more interesting by publishing several good news about cryptocurrencies that attracts more people including celebrities, crypto is so advanced now that many influential people wants to be associated with it, am not surprise at, soon more celebrities will pick interest.

No need to shout out if you already understand crypto but it's a case to case situation, there are people who loves broadcasting their support to attract wider audiences, some for referrals and some are to promote crypto. We see people who catch the attention from different advertisement and some with personal conversation with people who already inside this industry.

To be honest, I do not really take this to be a big advantage for crypto and I don't really believe in most of the coins in the OP. For me this individuals are just like every other person buying crypto out there, they may be rich, but rich people have been buying crypto for a very long time now and many of them even stay anonymous, making it even questionable why these ones decided to publicize their interest in crypto. In my opinion, what's needed for mass adoption is adoption from institutions and governments, and not really individuals, and that is exactly what is going to make the difference for cryptocurrency.

Famous celebrities come in all sorts of shape and form, which means that we are talking about something that is sports related but it doesn't really matter, what matters is that they are famous. So, let's take a 7th division goalkeeper in England, that's "sports" too, a whole team could be paid in bitcoin and the impact wouldn't be that big, hell they could change their names to something crypto related and it wouldn't really matter way too much, maybe at most crypto people would have some team they would support but that's about it.
What matters is that those sports people need to be famous as well, if Lebron comes out and says he owns some bitcoin and likes it, that matters, if Ronaldo plays in a crypto commercial, that means something. All in all if any famous person in the world comes out and says something that is in support of crypto, that would be great for us at all times.

I think the examples you mentioned are more of a form of advertising than actual interest from famous athletes. Of course, it's very good that cryptocurrencies appear alongside famous names. I hope there will be more such examples, but I do not think that cryptocurrencies will find use in this form. In my opinion, it will remain simply a form of advertising for their own projects by developers.

We should as what makes Tennis Star Naomi Osaka "openly" interested in Dogecoin... and watch her stutter... I bet she doesn't even know how dogecoin works or what it even is. All she knows is that this coin can be pumped easily. Invest some and let people know that she is interested in that coins so that she can sell when people start doing the same. Even your soccer player is in here for the money. If they are interested, why don't they privately invest instead of letting the world know? Okung did a good thing accepting Bitcoin as a part of his salary. He is the smart one over here.

Famous people or stardom take advantage of their big names to pump up prices. It's like an advertisement for the tokens as it carries their name. I don't think they really invest there, maybe this is just an agreement and they get paid. Different- if they say buy a certain amount of Btc, because we know Btc is not regulated or controlled.

There is so much attention given to the sports sector, especially soccer. With the number of big names in the sports sector, i don't think there's a better way of promoting a cryptocurrency than the use of this sports icons. It's actually a win-win deal for sports and cryptocurrencies.

I think this is a good thing and very good for the development of crypto, especially when world-class sports players are starting to look at and like cryptocurrencies, but can this be proven, bro? Or is this just for hype!
If you want to see the proof, then you just have to find out through several websites and social media such as twitter and through well-known sites that often discuss cryptocurrency in general, because ordinary people like him will not be able to create hype in written form or just a word.
