I do not feel the "need", because surely the government will take regulations after that legalization and I do not want government to ever touch, know nor see the Bitcoins I am holding. Making it illegal would just make the usual transactions hard, since I might need other people around me to either trade or pay something to them.

That regulation is usually what we think when it was legalized by the government but I hope they will just be fair for the user and implementing rules that both the government and the users/investors will agree. That is somewhat a sort of market adjustment but this is could protect the merchants and once it was legalized, we never know many establishments will start to accept Bitcoin as they know that there is a law that could help them.

So definitely, I wanted to be legalized and see our freedom to use whatever we want but it was for legal purposes only.

Already glad bitcoin in my country still not regulated, i mean it not illegal but there are no regulation with it and people still can use it as an assets. There are a lot of local exchanges from centralized until p2p services in my country and bitcoin really have a lot of support. I think i already satisfied with it because to payment, we people still can use fiat without any problem with it.

I think everyone here on the forum will like to see bitcoin legalized not only in their country but globally. Right now, since its not legal or illegal in my country there is always a fear that government may take any negative decision on bitcoin. This so called "No Status' of bitcoin also discourages people to buy and invest in bitcoin because they are not sure of its future.
If bitcoin was legalized, there could have been much more usability and awareness about it among the people.

Legalization in my country will only serve as an advertisement for the nation. We are free to do what ever we want with it with no regulation and possible ban. However due to this, scam is very prone specially to the newbies. Its sad that only few are gaining interest in crypto and they are focusing in other things. If BTC become legal, I hope many of our citizen will be knowledgeable about it.

Currently, many peoples want its become legal in their country, but sadly it's not going to happen just because of corrupt system and too many hurdles which helping authorities to do not legal but still we are able to use this in many ways. Bitcoin (and cryptocurrency) is LEGAL in my country, as a commodity asset, to trade or invest.
But, cryptocurrency is still not legal as a currency in my country.
Moreover, the government said that crypto will not be legal as a currency in my country even 10 years later. Because we have our official currency and it is based on the law and regulation. They said that crypto is difficult to regulate and we cannot regulate, control it, and also has some risks if using them as a legal currency.
Well, whatever it is, that's no problem for me personally.
As long as they legalize Bitcoin and all cryptos even only as commodity assets, we can still enjoy crypto, by trading or investing in them. And I can also find several legal exchanges in my country under the country's regulation and laws.

It is not just wanted to earn more profit why we've asked for legalization but it was because we wanted safety and security assurance which the government will be able to protect all declared users and investors like you. Whether Bitcoin or crypto currency ban or not, the use of crypto currency has ever been outside and without the concern of governmental bodies, making it decentralized and which makes it uniques in its form of currency and use. The moment at which it becomes centralized and regulated by the government, it will have to lose most of its features and the monitoring of transactions will be in place.
On the bright side, the acceptance of Bitcoin is a very good development because it will totally help the financial status and state of a country(ies). If Bitcoin and all crypto currencies can be monitored and traced from the source to the destination, and the taxation of every transaction is successfully captured for every citizen, then the use of Bitcoin and crypto currency may fade away as it is becoming a native currency.
I won't really want it to be legal, but free to be used by anyone anywhere without restrictions of any kind, which was it's initial form of creation.

In my opinion i feel like bitcoin should just stay the way it is, not having any law that prevent its use, because not only governments will be using it to force investors to pay taxes, but they will be able to track who is using bitcoin in the country an information that otherwise they are not able to have, which makes using crypto as good as having fiat.

There are many people interested in Bitcoin and crypto market in my country. The government still doesn't have any specific legalization laws, but they also don't ban people from using crypto, things are still unclear. Always a double edged sword, I would say, amd always dependent on the country and context. Definitely would welcome some sort of recognition or at the very least, an indication of tolerance toward crypto.

Yes, I mean who doesn't want to? Having a legal status means that you're not to be worried about law because it's on your side and at the same time you're protected since they recognize bitcoin or better yet crypto as a legal thing.

But it is not easy for the government to giving legality to bitcoin because they can not control bitcoin. Maybe they need more time to learn about what benefits bitcoin has to their country and maybe they need to read about what their people want from bitcoin. I think it needs more discussion to all government officials to know that bitcoin can give benefits to their country. Having legality in a country really means for bitcoin, especially for the people because they will feel safe using bitcoin.

Of course, since the legal status of bitcoin and crypto in my country will certainly bring about adoption and awareness about the existence and the utility of cryptocurrencies. It will be a long and winding journey towards legalization but we'll get there, slowly but surely. Yes, of course, because big changes start from small things. Some people in my country are starting to shift their views from stocks to crypto. They are attracted by the value of bitcoin which has increased so much. Giving space to crypto players in my country is open and regulated, only used as an asset not for payments. It does take time for the government to consider legalizing Bitcoin or not, because Bitcoin is a new technology that must be learned first.
So it makes a lot of sense if there are countries that accept Bitcoin in a gradual way, meaning that the country's government only allows Bitcoin
as a digital asset and prohibits using it as payment. Because the government needs careful consideration and also wants to monitor first
