Why not? It's completely possible considering the fact that it usually stays bullish towards the end of the year based on historical data. Also, no amount of proof can justify speculations since they are just random speculations op.

Pointlessly hyping BTC and other cryptocurrencies is not the right strategy(Example: 2017 rally). Instead, BTC and other cryptocurrencies need to continue growing organically in my opinion.

My target is still the same $400k+ and the only thing different in it is that now I am speculating a different time frame which is the first quarter of next year. But the thing about rises like this that happen at the last stage of the 4-year cycle (assuming it is still on the same path) is that at a certain point the buyers keep pouring in instead of slowly buying bitcoin and like an avalanche that keeps growing increase the size of each jump.

For comparison, in about one month at the end of 2017 cycle price went up from $8k to $20k which is 150% rise. That means we could see price slowly reach $160k then in a single month see a 150% rise and easily reach $400k before we can even create a topic about it!

We can see Bitcoin price isn't much far from $60K. If the current trend continues and no bad news pop up then we might see a new ATH this month, which means anytime could touch $70K. But the problem is, there is a chance of selling Bitcoin at Christmas. If the sale happens massively then we might encounter a bear run which would dump below $40K again. I am not a good predictor nor a good analyzer, I just expressing my own thoughts. I don't think anyone could predict exactly what will happen with the price.

I don't have any proof but I can indicate my opinion here. Actually, nobody can give a proof about it as the market is always variable. But considering the recent rise in Bitcoin price, I actually believe that the price can reach $70k at least before the end of the year. Far more reasonable an aspiration today then it was yesterday as we rose so strongly while crossing something of a downwards pattern true across months.   I do think before 70k we might need to visit 50k, confirm that level as a base price to hold and then onto new highs like 70k or even 100k.   I dont know how long it might rise but generally a big rise will come after attempts to sell have failed and been proven the least likely path.

That's conservative estimate though, we are looking for 6 digits this Christmas, or at last $100k per pop. I'm sure you have heard about the S2F model, although it has it's critics, this model seems to be be on the schedule to be hitting the target of $100k. So let's see how it goes, October is really a good month for bitcoin as it has bounce back beautifully from last month's downturn. It is not easy to reach the 70k level if there will be no significant progress or news in the market.
Yes, we are seeing the 55k again but it doesn't mean it will continue to go up.
There may be a roller coaster ride again before we attain this level but it is possible.
We just need some good triggers on why we will be achieving a new ATH.
Don't just rely on some FUDs or predictions without any basis at all.
I don't know the basis of PlanB, if he has actual reasonings why we will reach those price levels.

We can only speculate and there’s a bigger resistance at the price of $60k, we must focus on that first and if we are able to break it, $70k can happen after that. Well it doesn't need to skyrocket to hit $70k by Christmas. Just needs gradual growth and no big long correction before the year is out. It's now only $9k away from ATH and $15k from $70k, with nearly 3 months to go. Three months of moderate growth would get it to $70k now problem.

I've been thinking since August that it'll probably end the year around $70k, and I feel like that is pretty spot on. There's always the chance though that things get really bullish and it goes to $80k or $90k by end of year. There's a possibility, it's only about 20k away from happening and there's still a lot of time for that to happen, it might not even be just 70k by December, it could be higher than that. But this is all just a speculation so you better be cautious more than anything else.

The only proof that I can post is the big pump in the last 7 days in the early week of October 32.3%this is a big pump even if there is the news of China banning Cryptocurrency, the months of November and December will be a strong signal for the market so it's possible for the market to reach $70k or even more, investors trust on the market is growing as the year is coming to end.

That's what I think. I think at a minimum we're going to exceed $100k in this last quarter of the year. We can get to $70 in a week. Getting to only $70k and not exceeding it would have to make us rethink how the price and cycles work.

It is actually not a "super-cycle" and if anything it is going to be a "dwarfed-cycle".
If you ignore the digit counts in price and focus on the percentage change you'll see that last time price went up 13,233% and so far the rise we had (using the ATH not current price) the rise has been only 1,835% which is 11,397% lower than previous rise!
Even with $70k it still would be 11,074% smaller.

Just because $70,000 has 5 digits that doesn't mean it is a "big" number that has to be the final ATH.

Nothing more than the usual festive rush. The last quarter of the year is always favourable to bitcoin seeing it grow with lots of volatility that it is unpredictable what will happen next. I definitely believe this is the case, I really think the bitcoin is going to be able to reach those levels by Christmas and if anything I think it can go way higher than that, my reasons for that are very simple, governments are still printing money, they are trying to get out of their problems by printing more currency but the problem that we are facing is inflation and that problem cannot be solved by printing more currency, and if anything it is going to make it worse, so people are going to try to find a way to protect themselves, and bitcoin is the perfect way to do it.

I'm positive that it will reach that height, new ATH may take place before the year end. It's been expected by many that this last quarter will be favorable for investors. The very first day of October show's good run, bringing more interest from newcomers and those who left the market for some reasons. They are now here and expecting that before December ends, they will see good growth.

It might be more than $70k by Christmas. A new ATH will be seen again in 2021. Bitcoin bull run has started back after it was moving between $41k to $49k last month and this stability was the indication for current bull run. The bull run is supporting other crypto currencies see an ATH like SHIB.

This Christmas and this year are basically the same questions. We have talked about this year, and Christmas is just December 25th so it is a little earlier but basically the same time. If the parabolic increase that we have right now that saw the price skyrocket like crazy continues, then of course we are going to have something great and 70k is not a problem at all, even higher could be done.

However we should also remember that price always goes up before it goes down, and there could be a crash that follows this one. Which is why we need to be careful with a stop loss trigger ready, just put it there if you want to, I am a long term investor so I don't care if it becomes 10k tomorrow, but if you want to avoid losses then you should put a stop loss. Aside from that, unless a crash happens then 70k+ is nothing too difficult for us at all.

I do agree with this. Looking at how awesome it is right now, then I feel like it is totally possible for bitcoin to have a great period once again in the future. We have a little time left but look at how high it got in 2 weeks, if it can get this high in 2 weeks then it means it could get so much higher until Christmas.

This could happen well before Christmas. If the bull run is yet to come in this year then we should see 60-70K dollar bitcoin price in November and by the time of Christmas bitcoin could be well over the 100,000$. This will be the best Christmas and New Year celebrations, if it happens but no one is sure yet.

I guess no price is a problem in the bitcoin world, hitting 40k, hitting 70k, nothing is a big deal because if you are a long term trader then you are making profit in the long term anyway, it is rare to see bitcoin not profiting when you hold it for few years. I'm still a little hesitant to put all my money on ETF news. It's expected to be good and so it was expected to have happened but if/when SEC does give the go ahead (this week?), the effect will all have already been soaked in the market. On the other hand, an unlikely overturn or rejection of the coming ones would probably knock over the other upcoming applications, and then the market flip flops back into fear.

I believe that with 61k+ price right now we are going to get a correction soon. People will assume that it is a bad thing while I will buy from that price and I would be making a good profit from that level as well. I do not get why people are worrying about corrections. The problem with corrections is that it needs to happen so that people who want to take their profits out will have a place and time to sell and get out and if you do not really understand that and get a panic sale going from too many people after that correction (or during) then you are going to end up with something like a start of a bear run. Well, reality is people are really hyping Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency in general, but it doesn't really work everytime.

On the other hand, Bitcoin is not in a good shape to break into $70k until Christmas, realistically. There could be a chance If there's another hype that could potentially initiate another run. However, I'm afraid that chance could be very slim.

If this reaction of market continues before the end of the 3rd week then No we will never hit that 70k this December or the whole 2021 .

Maybe at some chances in the next year 2022, or better yet in another Halving of Bitcoin Miner in which mostly the Pumping season .

At the moment the price of bitcoin is undergoing a correction and usually after a deep correction it will take a few more months for bitcoin to return to the price of $56 - $60k, considering the current market movement is in a downward stage I would say that bitcoin can't reach the price of $70k at the end of the year because at the moment we have not seen a recovery in bitcoin price after a correction.

For comparison, in about one month at the end of 2017 cycle price went up from $8k to $20k which is 150% rise. That means we could see price slowly reach $160k then in a single month see a 150% rise and easily reach $400k before we can even create a topic about it!

Far from achieving it even lots of days left on Christmas. The best to expect is, BTC can hit $70,000 realistically. Just don't set a target of when it will happen to avoid too much expectation.

Let the price grows naturally without an attempt of hyping it.

Well, reality is people are really hyping Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency in general, but it doesn't really work everytime.

On the other hand, Bitcoin is not in a good shape to break into $70k until Christmas, realistically. There could be a chance If there's another hype that could potentially initiate another run. However, I'm afraid that chance could be very slim.
My prediction would be Bitcoin could stay around the region of $50k before and after Christmas.

That only happens when the majority are selling their Bitcoins during this Christmas leading the price to go down more instead of seeing for another Bullrun. Even we reach back $40k, I was still considering this a good price but if ever it reaches below that price, I can expect the bearish season to start. But still, we can't sure of anything, I'm not even thinking about that to come, however, it was good to prepare than do nothing.

Everyone talks about how there is a chance that we may end up with something that is valuable or they talk about how it is impossible, and yet neither of them realizes that both are possible. Bitcoin had a rough month, and it is going on so far, we managed to get closer to 50k again, but we had a horrible fall and we are trying to recover from that. From 50k to 70k is around 40% increase if I am not wrong, and that is not impossible in the crypto market.

We could both reach it, and also not be able to reach it and both of them are quite possible. This is why I believe that we should not be able to focus on having these kinds of problems in our hands. Stayed above 59k and its at March weekly bar highs, remains bullish for now.  See what happens when volume drops off at all, if we stall some may sell to buy lower down in speculation.

   I dont see this as indicating important resistance here but if we remain sideways till the 50 day average catches up it'll likely expand range downwards from there first.

Finally return back to 50k level now so opportunity of climbing back to up is a sign , but 70k should not be in our way of thinking because it is hard to expect now while the bull or bear is waiting to take position.
 
I have given up when the 70k price denied last  month and accept the fact that this is not the year for 70's maybe in the 2022 or the next but now? i am enough for what bitcoin reached as i have already gained and now holding decent amount again.

Christmas is over and the new year is too, but what is expected is nothing to prove and you are right that it is unlikely that bitcoin will ever be able to make it to $70K and be real. now we just have to hope that the ongoing correction can stop and not continue to fall below $40K which is certainly very worrying.

Was caught by surprised to see the price just going on a downward spiral today at $42k, I haven't check the news as to what really affected the market. But it seems at first glance, there could be bad news around the corner that change investors mindset to sell at this point.

Whatever we say, Bitcoin will run at its own way. Christmas is over but BTC's bull market has not started yet. I think this is also a positive site because when it goes down there will be no other options but to increase. Most likely we can get new trend of btc with in two months.

Don't place any good expectation currently because previous year was too good for crypto market, 2 times all time high that never happened before.
I will always place may worst expectation for this year to create new position and reset my portofolio and ride a new journey.

Everytime the price of bitcoin is expected to reach new value. Same was expected on Christmas and New year. But sometimes thevalue was not increased as expected.So the price was not increased on New year and Christmas. Just hold till the price back to the old value of 50k$.

What if that scenario will came far or it will come next year? Then you miss the pump and dump scene which can possibly give you a profit right? Much better to do trades at the moment since bear market season is perfect time to buy some cheap coins at the market. But if you can hold since you have spare money to use then do it since its still perfectly fine to do.
