Internet will probably not go down for long. The people now went crazy even just a minute of not having internet so Companies and other institutions will be finding ways to fully maintain the system. Whenever the internet there will be no transactions to happen and if there’s any  abnormalities within that time will need to be track. In this era we’re internet is considered essential it keeps each economy growing that it should be a priority to not be exposed in any down time.

Actually technically it is not possible to fully shut down the internet. If someone wants to do that he needs to cut off the submarine cables that connect internet networks all over the world. I think it's technically impossible. Now SpaceX planning to provide internet data even without any cables. They already launched a program about it. So the more day will pass technology will find a way to protect itself from any disaster.

Collapse will be the most common thing that will happen, most of the transaction nowadays are being done online, internet is a powerful tool to deal between borders, it's tough to see if by chance this really takes place. Many businesses will suffer not just crypto, but most if not all businesses are tied with the use of the internet.

I also believe that way, removing internet will make people suffer. Only those who have a lot of reserves can continue having a comfortable life, but for most, it will risk their financial state.

Hope you are aware that you will be able to move Bitcoin offline and you only need internet to validate the transaction in the block, first and foremost there wont be a situation where there wont be internet for an extended period of time and if you want to make a transaction during internet outage you can do that and once the internet is online it will be validated.

Yeah, this is how the transaction works. Maybe there are countable number of locations around the globe where the internet connectivity have gone down with time. Rest of the world with time the advancement and ease of internet usage have made more people make use of internet. Each and every business is now connected with the connectivity, even if it is offline store there'll be a desktop to manage the stocks available and those need to be bought. So, internet won't be an issue with bitcoin anytime.

That is what I tried to point out to all the red-pilled newbies in this thread posting their conspiracy theory like hot cakes. If the internet would really go down it will be a war like chaos. Portfolios can go to hell, people would need to save their own lives, we have so many devices and systems that are relying on internet.

If you talk about a nationalized internet or intranet then in such countries it can be controlled, but to use bitcoin one needs access to the real internet and not intranet.

There are studies that they're trying to send transactions through signals. Not exactly as the internet but like radio waves and other means of signals. I don't know the exact details of it but just read it elsewhere that it's going to be possible in the future. Could be a possible breakthrough of someone out there in creating such transactions with the use of only mobile number. Here in my country, there is a payment system that only requires SMS number to send money, but still that requires an internet for moving around the mobile app, so technically it still requires internet, but it should be close for a possible transaction within only the network service provider.
How convenient would that be if it became a reality, lol?
