If their Airport going to accept bitcoin I think they are late because there is a website already that offers flights that accept Bitcoin and other cryptos.
Unless if they are going to give less or more discounts when buying flight tickets on them.

Anyway travala.com is offering all flight destinations departing and returning and they are also offering flights from Venezuela so even they don't accept bitcoin travala is already accepting Bitcoin.

And travala doesn't have most of the (few) airlines that still operate here. Heck, most of the traditional major online "cheap ticket" web pages don't cover them either which is why for foreigners it looks like some sort of black hole. Its not, but the trick is you have to go to the airline homepage directly and skip those 3rd parties.

For example search Caracas <-> Port of Spain in those online services, very likely you will find either nothing or some horribly expensive with like 3 or more connections. In reality there are at least 3 airlines doing direct (1hr) flights, including the T&T flag airline Caribbean. I don't know how it is for other parts of the world, but those services "cheap flight tickets" websites are useless here.

A bunch of those airlines are State owned, such as those from Cuba, Iran and Turkey, add in Venezuela and its all fun with US sanctions, which could be a reason those online web services can't even touch them. Technically the EU also joined the sanctions so there is that.

Example travala says you need 1500 USD for the aforementioned example. In reality, you can do it with 100 USD to 400 USD. Same thing Caracas <-> Asunción, travala says 2500 USD but go straight to the same airline web page, and in reality its just 600 USD.

To pay directly to each airline you do it either at their own webpage, or at the airport. Is the gov doing pay processing? I don't know. I may try it soon, but its usually easier to simply exchange into fiat and do a bank wire transfer, at least for locals. But i can see this as a good alternative for foreigners who didn't bring enough cash for whatever reason (its too dangerous anyway, less cash is better).

This is a good promotional step for Venezuela, the increasing number of active bitcoin users makes anyone want to transact directly, and I'm sure this step will be followed by many other airports so that bitcoin users are more comfortable.
Venezuela needed that, I mean, their country is struggling, so they should allow investments and people to use more options in the transaction as no one would carry a huge volume of cash with a small value of Venezuelan bolívar when they like to travel, this would contribute to the adoption of crypto worldwide, so let's hope that the government of Venezuela will try to follow El Salvador who is very crypto-friendly and even legalized the use of bitcoin as a legal tender.

Bitcoin adoptions are now starting to occur in lots of areas in the world and it's beneficial to Bitcoin as well as the users. Venezuela is one of the countries that needed Bitcoin the most and being accepted by huge businesses will surely affect the country's economy positively.

more and more people recognize bitcoin, of course, it has a very positive impact that will be obtained from bitcoin itself and for other altcoins.
I agree that the adoption of bitcoin that will be carried out by many countries in every transaction will clearly have a positive impact that will be accepted by that country, but they also must not be careless and rules must be made so that no abuse occurs with bitcoin because of the nature of bitcoin itself which cannot someone controls.

As the level of Bitcoin adoption gets bigger and better, in a short time from now Bitcoin is going to be accepted for payment for tickets and another airport terminal payment.
Simón Bolívar Airport which is an international airport in Venezuela is working on modalities to start accepting Bitcoin.

Here is one more proof that BTC continues and will continue its development and implementation in all spheres of man. Yes, this is probably not happening as fast as many of us want, but we have to admit that this is happening and we can see it with our own eyes. However, for a greater implementation of BTC, a lot of work still needs to be done, which means that each of us still has time to become holders of BTC right now, the main thing is not to miss this opportunity, so as not to blame ourselves for a missed opportunity later.
